Because the Bible says they the apple of His eye. Romans 11 makes it clear we have no room to boast, that we have been grafted in and that they will come to believe when the Gentiles have come in.

That position is an excuse;

I have a person in our community who's sister died a rather prolonged and painful death with cancer.
He uses that as a negative against G-d for allowing her to suffer...so bad...that he can't see past that experience and come to Christ. Hopefully....some day..

I lost my aunt to cancer, she was 43 yrs old. I'll admit, it shook my faith and I grew up in the church. We have to just be patient and pray some people in. We may not know this side of heaven if they made the choice. My uncle, who also died of cancer, came back to the Lord pretty much on his deathbed. There is always hope.

The passage doesn't seem too difficult at all. Paul is telling us Gentiles not to be ignorant or boastful, and that God is not finished with Israel.

The question of why some Christians support Israel is a complicated one. It incorporates politics as well as prophecy and instruction from the Lord.

Politically, they occupy a tiny spit of land. The ONLY true democracy in the region, surrounded by dictators, despots and vast hordes of muslims that want them liquidated. On that level alone, ALL of the West should support them.

Make no mistake, the vast majority of Jews today are either atheist/agnostic or extreme legalists. Many harbor ill will toward Christians.
We should never base our response to them based on the points above. Our response should be based on what the Lord would have us do.
In the OT we have "I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you". I don't see that as ended.

In the NT we see Jesus at the sheep and goat judgement basing His judgement on the nations and peoples of those nations on how they treated the Jews, especially during the Great Tribulation.

Notice the DISTINCTION Jesus makes between the righteous Gentiles, and HIS BRETHREN. I believe He is talking about those Gentile Christians that helped the Jews in their persecution by the antichrist.

Some Christians constantly remind Jews of the Jews' contribution for the death of Christ. It is like the process of throwing gas on a small flame. It cause's Jews to resent Christians more.
We have no right to do such demeaning acts. Also, it is not Christian like to do so. Instead we should include them in our prayers as we do other lost people.

many Christians need to be reminded it was the roman empire that put Jesus to death. Crucifixion is not a Jewish execution.
