Therefore you cannot
o_O Are you saying he cannot quote scripture?

That's kind of what some people do to me. I'm a legalist, judgemental, etc. for quoting scripture.

Like a mob imposed gag order

They are not my words but the words of God.
We do not need Greek or Hebrew. I have noticed that those who do, fit the description of those people described in Revelation 22:19. "And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."
Your words were saying because I like to understand the Greek meaning then I fall foul of the verses you quoted.

That's your words and interpretation.

You read the concourse between Jesus and Peter yet?

Not saying that at all.
Scripture is for reproof, edification and understanding.

But to say that because I try to understand the Greek meaning and it's intent puts me in the category of the Revelation verses quoted means I'm adding to the prophecy thereof means I'm going to be written out of the book of life is wrong.

Even when asking for clarification on this and other responses and just quote Revelation in response is not good.

So if I said to you that I like to get an understanding of the Greek and it's true intent would you have responded with

After all PS also said we have Bible in English.

You yourself quote Greek and it's nuances. Maybe not quote but refer to the meaning.

I like to discuss Bible verse I quote.
But I will never ever tell someone that they are written out of the book of life because they want to understand the Bible more.
Then take a few verses to say they are adding to prophecy

Would you?

Your answer does not compute with Hebrews 6:4-6.

It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance.
You must be dense.....the context of Hebrews proves my point....keep thinking you can lose your salvation.....proves you have no real trust into the Christ of the bible....

NOW>>..try context.....you're using it to prove a point that is false pal

At the end of the day we are called to be like Jesus.
We are called to discipleship.
What saves us?
Works or faith?
Faith saves, works follow.

Did God WALK among the seven churches? Were they saved and always saved like you...Yes or NO? What will happen if they don't repent and obey...are they still saved?

Thanks and God bless
AGAIN PAL...the context is having their AUTHORITY removed collectively as a church....IT has nothing to do with salvation so your point is MOOT

Cora,
wouldn't it be respectful to accept someone not answering a question,
if they choose not to?

be mindful please.
I did answer....he cannot figure out that what JESUS said to the 7 churches ha nothing to do with individual salvation, but rather losing their authority as a church.....you cannot reason with people that will ignore context.......just like the other guy using Hebrews out of context to peddle a losable salvation....

No that is not what I believe. The prodigal son came back to the Father. It is always possible to repent and return, in fact the Good Shepherd will seek those who are lost. What I am talking about are those who deliberately and knowingly turn against God and rebel against Him after first accepting Him as their saviour.
Now you are either being deceptive or lying.....because you quoted this above to prove one can lose salvation and if they LOSE IT...so which is it pal....POSSIBLE or IMPOSSIBLE..........you cannot play both cards....

He has not even responded to that.
I asked him when he said he was in another site what was it?
I can't remember he said.

Then I remembered what site it was. The only other site I was on.

I really do not have a problem with people who think you can lose or give up salvation.
They interpret Bible verses different than we do.
But to just quote and not discuss and answer really gets my goat.

So do you believe that if a believer does fall by the wayside for a period of time then that's it.

They cannot return or repent even if they want to?
Bill, he quoted that trying to prove Adam and Eve were lost.........and then he turns around and says he believes it is possible to come back....One can always tell who is deceptive...they vacillate more than the waves of the sea.....

Oh I have a problem with it...it is satanic, devalues Christ, his promises and power....NOT of GOD and false..........as a true believer we should take issue with any and all false gospels......

Individual words have various nuances. Context is better.

cora, GBY also and welcome! -
hub and I see that under your name is, (a new member) -
we have 'called-out' many in this arena, and have been 'called-out' as well -
we try to be gracious and loving whether being 'called-out', or calling-out):):)
it's just part of learning how to navigate the territory and bear the most fruit...
You do realize I did answer his question and pointed out that he was yanking verse out of context in an attempt to prove a false point......

Where is the loyalty to the truth any more in our society.......??

Individual words have various nuances. Context is better.
Then try to connect the words to the nunaces and put it into context.

You read the concourse between Jesus and Peter yet, concerning love?
Individual words you say, have various nuances.
Peter do you love me? What's the word and what's the context?
Jesus 3rd time. What's the word and the context?
