I suggest people read my posts with the ability to discern between descriptive and prescriptive statements.

(see posts 99,379 and 99,380)

Descriptive statements- A statement that DESCRIBES someone or something.

Prescriptive statements- A statement that PRESCRIBES something. (state something as a rule that must be followed.)

It also would be a good idea to read the Bible knowing the difference also. ( I hope y'all are)

Every false acusation against me...Judaizer, fruit inspector, legalist, judgemental...etc. has been because people have read my statements as "PRESCRIPTIVE STATEMENTS instead of correctly reading them as DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENTS. Go back and read what I read, and you will see that I made few if any prescriptive statements. Virtually all of my statements have been DESCRIPTIVE, not PRESCRIPTIVE.

I am convinced that this is the cause of much of the division in Christianity today. People don't know the difference between statements that prescribe and statements that describe.

I'm not sure if I have a gift for a premonition, follow his steps, I think you could serve God better in the prayer request thread in cc.com

You can pray for them and believe that God will be happy of your service

On this thread no one listens to you anyway, which is discouraging

Pray in the prayer threads and be of encouragement to others
I personally find it hard to address FHS because there is a notion that he is a banned member twice...
I have asked him out right if he is originally PeterJens , but have had no answer , just diversion...

If someone was accusing you to be someone that you are not , would you not exclaim it from the rooftops that you are not this banned member that we accuse him to be...

For that reason I cannot take what he says seriously , because all that comes into my mind is banned twice PeterJens , which would make him a deceiver , no matter what he says...

It would be wonderful if he just claimed he is or is not , only God knows...xox...

Romans 7 comments

(addendum to comments on Romans 6 posted earlier.

Romans 8 will follow shortly)

7 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
The Law only has dominion over a person as long as they are alive.

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives, but if he dies, she is free to marry another. (same is true for husbands) Paul is going to use this as an analogy describing the believer and where he stands in regards to the Law.

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Because we died with Christ, we are no longer under the dominion of the Law, but are now spiritually united to Him

5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
When we were in the flesh, sin was actually incited by the law.

6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Because of our union with Christ's death, we are dead to the Laws condemnation and are able to serve in NEWNESS OF LIFE.

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
The purpose of the Law was to expose sin

8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
But the Law actually gave strength to sin.

9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Sin used the Law against us to bring us into condemnation.

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
The Law was a catalyst, bringing sin to the surface so that it can be identified and dealt with.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Our fallen nature and the Law are incompatible.

1
5 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
The Law shows that in our natural, fallen state, we are slaves to sin, and exposes the depths of our depravity

21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
There is a law within us that brings us into captivity. This is called the Law of sin. literally the reign of sin.

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Meaning the situation is not hopeless. God has provided a way to freedom.

So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
setting up chapter eight, which will show that we are no longer under the dominion of sin, and show us how to walk in that REALITY.

"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." (Galatians 5:17)

And you "practice" sin Mac. You do it every day. Day after day after day after day.

So come down off your self-righteous high horse.
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Was Jesus telling the man to be SINLESS from that day forward, or was HE telling Him to repent of whatever sin he was practicing?

Did you see what is bolded in red there? Though one may not have known they sinned, like breaking an old law still on the books, they are still guilty. Ignorance is absolutely no excuse. God still holds you accountable. You are trying to say one is somehow not responsible if they sin unknowingly.
I said "where did I say all sin is a CHOICE" NOT "all sin is culpable". Apparently you don't know the difference in the two words.

We see here that when Bud is refuted, he shifts goalposts from "is sin a choice?" to "is sin culpable"? This indicates a person that is not being honest in their argumentation.

a. Sin by choice- knowingly and volitiionally choosing to sin.

b. Culpable sin- Sin worthy of blame.

These two statements are nowhere near being synonomous.

Bump for the salvation losers and self maintainers.....

The following is a comparison between the bible and salvation losers......and make no mistake...this is exactly what they peddle and or how they butcher the word of God by their losable salvation....

Bible --> I will never leave thee or forsake thee
Salvation Losers ---->Jesus is a liar and will leave us and forsake us

Bible --->We are saved to the uttermost and kept by the power of God through faith
Salvation losers --->The power of God is weak and inept, we are not saved to the uttermost and GOD does not keep us

Bible -->Jesus begins, finishes and completes the work of faith in us
Salvation losers ---> WE must maintain our faith because JESUS does not finish and complete the work of faith in us

Bible --> He that believes on the SON is having everlasting/eternal life
Salvation losers --->He that believes and MAINTAINS his belief on the SON is having temporal life based upon what he does or does not do

Bible --> Therefore we conclude a man is justified by faith without the deeds/works of the law
Salvation losers -->James out of context tells us we are justified by our works before God

Bible -->It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe
Salvation losers --->It pleased God by works, church membership, baptism, pew jumping, speaking in tongues, back flipping down the isle, saying 57 hail Mary's, taking the Lord's supper, keeping the sacraments and a dozen other religiously zealous man made efforts to save them

Bible -->NOTHING can separate us from the love of GOD
Salvation losers -->Numerous things can separate us from the love of GOD

Bible--->We are in the Son's hand, the Father's hand and NO AN can remove us from that position
Salvation losers -->The above is false, we can remove ourselves because God is weak and inept

Bible -->We are sealed unto the day of redemption
Salvation losers-->The seal of God can be broken because God is weak and inept

Bible --->
Where sin abounds, grace abounds the more
Salvation losers--> We qualify, quantify sin and God's grace only covers those small sins when we mess up and for sure we have never lost it, but eternal security believers lose it because they believe they can live any way they want and live like the devil

Bible --->He that believes on the Son is not condemned
Salvation losers --> Believers are condemned all the time and returned to being goats after becoming sheep

Bible --> I will lose nothing, but raise it up the last day
Salvation losers -->God loses people all the time because he is too weak to keep them saved

Bible--> We are born again from above by INCORRUPTIBLE SEED
Salvation losers --> We are not born of incorruptible seed, because that seed can be corrupted and one die lost after being born again

Bible --> The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable
Salvation losers -->God's free GIFT of salvation can be revoked because GOD will break ALL the above promises and send one to hell after being saved

ETC.............I dare to say that salvation losers are false.....and what they peddle is not of GOD and as blasphemous as it comes......the above is a SMALL sample of scriptural promises that MUST BE DENIED, REJECTED and or SWEPT UNDER THE TABLE to peddle a dime store salvation that cannot be found in the bible and or a dime store salvation that devalues the work, promises and ministry of CHRIST!!!!!!!

Been looking over a literal translation of Galatians today.......it becomes all too obvious that Paul is raking over the coals those that....

a. Peddle saved by faith, but finished off by works or the flesh (either law or self effort)
b. And the Galatian assemblies that had so SOON been deceived by the false teachers that were peddling that crap

He calls them FOOLISH and BEWITCHED........

O Foolish Galatians! WHO entranced you ALL...........

This (thing) only I am desiring to learn from you all: Did you all receive the SPIRIT out from the works of the law or out from hearing of faith?

In this MANNER you all ARE FOOLISH ones; [When YOU ALL] made a beginning BY SPIRIT, you all are NOW being perfected by flesh.

NOTICE GALATIANS 2:16

Yet, [first we] knew that a man in not being justified out from works of law. [A man is NOT BEING JUSTIFIED] unless through faith OF Christ JESUS. INDEED, we ourselves believe INTO CHRIST JESUS in order that we might be JUSTIFIED out from faith of CHRIST and NOT for the works of the law, because ALL FLESH will not be justified out from works of law.

NOTE.....THE works of LAW and FLESH are ONE and the SAME............

IT is faith alone that JUSTIFIES a MAN before GOD.....and NOTE>......FAITH OF or FROM CHRIST <----of or from indicate SOURCE..............

JAMES out of CONTEXT WILL never = a man justified before GOD by works.....the works JUSTIFY our CLAIM of faith BEFORE MEN and are for the BENEFIT OF MEN

SHOW ME YOUR FAITH!!!!

As David said

Psalms 143:1-2

An Earnest Appeal for Guidance and Deliverance
A Psalm of David.
1 Hear my prayer, O Lord,
Give ear to my supplications!
In Your faithfulness answer me,
And in Your righteousness.
2 Do not enter into judgment with Your servant,
For in Your sight no one living is righteous.

Though we do no one who is righteous and he took our judgement upon himself.
And as a result.

Romans 5:1
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Romans 5:17
17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Titus 3:4-5
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

And as a result

2 Timothy 2:22
22 Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Yes folks, those of us who believe we are saved by faith and not of works persue righteousness and good works.

Those works set before us.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

when we learn to Love as Christ Loves = the 'un-lovable-the scoundrels-the angry-the pretenders-the opposers-
the adversaries-the dis-agreers-the nit-pickers-the trolls, ETC. - THEN, our Light begins to shine...

LUKE 6:32.
For if you love them which love you, what thank have you? for sinners also love those that love them..........

also we would like to add, we 'both' have been 'un-lovable, etc.,' at different times of our lives,
you know, before Christ called us and we're sure, before we 'over-came' so many of our bad habits...
