it is my understanding that in order to be released from such a thing, a person has to WANT it

apparently, these folks have chosen their desires and made them evident here

however, I agree with you that those who are being deceived by some of these charlatans would indeed receive freedom in Christ and be released from religious spirits

can you imagine one person even put a laughing head on your post. even the demons know better than to mock but here we have these people who choose to mock and all understanding has been denied them

there was a time I cared but now I am leaning towards set the captive free but let the captors remain

we do choose
The course I took in demonology taught that the religious spirit is the only one that cannot be cast out seven. Reason being that it's the human spirit itself. For man will worship something because we are created to do so. The spirit of error is another thing. There are teaching spirits of the enemy that do bind minds.

But, I do agree with your conclusion and the ministry I follow just said about the same thing in the last teaching I listened to.

He said that the Pharisees came to Jesus, that Jesus and His disciples didn't go to them. Of course they came mocking, but occasionally there was one who was beginning to see. Nevertheless, Jesus went to the sinners.

Whether anyone mocked or not, I would never in my own self to venture a prayer like that. Only in the Spirit is my natural way overcome. ;)

Which speaks to me....what are we doing here?

Hi 7...
I don't even know what a cessationists is lol...
I don't know much , but what I do have is the daily teaching from the Holy Spirit , and I do know for sure that I am God's child , and I only respond to post when I feel truly led to say something , otherwise I sit and read , hopefully to learn also...
I also know it is very dangerous to add or take away from Scripture , or use it out of context ...

The skies have just opened and a massive surge of rain has fell , so glad , all my garden plants have been given a great drink , no carrying the water can for me for the next couple of days :giggle:...xox...

a cessationist is someone who does not believe any of the spiritual gifts written about by Paul are operating today

I am not a cessationist ;)

you are right about adding or taking away from the Bible. and or using it out of context. in fact, we should not 'use' scripture at all

speaking of rain, we had a regular torrential downpour over the week-end for which I am grateful because I'm an avid gardner also and was having to water every single day...I tend to do these real big garden projects...but then they need upkeep but I love the flowers. or even pretty bushes. we have lots of trees and here in Florida, they drop leaves all year round...so raking is one of my regular exercises

I do check out your photos of your beautiful gardening efforts when you post them...gotta say..your orchids are way better than mine

listen....your relationship with God is between you and Him. I think you know that. hugs

Sounding brass.

1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Hyperbole sure but a tinkling cymbal does seem quite appropriate.

For the cause of Christ

Hi Rosemary. You can save yourself some trouble by asking about her thoughts on Pastor John MacArthur. You might also benefit from watching his series titled "Strange Fire".

Maybe if you smash us against a wall, punch us in the stomach, or kick us off a stage, like Wigglesworth did to a little baby, we might see things your way!

Of course none of this stuff is Biblical, but why let that little detail get in the way.

I have had to ignore her. I don't see how she cannot see her hypocrisy. EVERYTHING she has accused others of, she has dealt out double to the person she addresses. There is no civil debate. If you find yourself on the opposite side of an issue with her it always devolves into accusations and insults.

I honestly do feel bad about it. She is harboring some root of bitterness, or just extreme boredom. I just don't want to be the brunt of that bitterness any longer. Maybe things will change in time.
I agree bro. I had her on ignore. Sadly I responded to a post. Then after out of couriosity opened all replies so I could see who he was responding to and saw it was her, and she had also by that time called me a liar and did as she usually did. To which it was far to easy to push back and prove it was not me who was lying, but someone else, of course I did not need to defend myself. I am sure most people know I was right to begin with, but Sometimes she just makes it to easy, and I can not let it just slide. But we will see, sadly I doubt it will change, all we can do is pray for peace in their souls.

my understanding is that the spirit(s) will use whatever they can but if a person does not reject what is taught as false (hey we have 66 books that proclaim truth after all so no excuse...literally..God allows it), they make themselves at home in the person and project their personalities through the person...at differing levels...for whatever stronghold is present.

yes there sure nuff are teaching spirits...Bible calls them 'doctrines of demons'. true

I do not agree that the human spirit is the religious spirit, but humans have a religious spirit might be how I would word it? but to be sure humans are very religious. :( I've had some interaction with one person in particular who had deep seated religious spirits. you could not help them because they accepted all the little whispers in their ears. they started off so good too...but the ego got in the way. they actually had power that was not of God.

religion can take some pretty demonic turns...like sacrificing children ... as far as people are willing to accept the thoughts is as far as they will go. the devil still gets his sacrifice of humans through abortion.

I will pray as I am led but also generally...there is no way this thread is a testimony to God and His salvation. there has to be an awakening in Christians in general. there has to be a hunger...a desire...a longing....not this ripping apart and accusing people of being demonic because they have accepted as true what God says

there is going to be real 'hell' to pay for some and I don't threaten or curse. I just know what the word states

what are we doing here...what are we doing here....I've been grieving over this mess and praying. it's like a blood sport at times

sometimes I think shake the dust, but then I think of those who are deceived by false teachers and I get angry at the lies and the attitude. I can't sort it out but God knows. it seems the tomfoolery has no end with some

I should not even be here now...my work is piled up...literally

A kindred spirit of rebellion.

You take a course on demonology? What is wrong with you? Still seeking power to satiate a need to feel important?

Sure. It is claimed that after smashing the baby against the wall, and kicking the baby into the crowd, the baby was healed.

COMPLETELY unsubstantiated of course. But we don't even have to talk about the unsubstantiation, of the claim. If you think the Holy Spirit operates by throwing babies against a wall and kicking them off a stage, you are as deceived as I feared.

I love 7's humor. And her boldness.
Humor?

Since when is LYING to be loved? (If she made a mistake thats one thing, but if it was just this, At least if she had true character she would admit she made a mistake, confessed, and moved on. But this did not happen.

It would be one things if she admitted her mistake. But when you have been shown to be a liar. And yet still ATTACK others. Instead of admitting your own sin, Something is seriously wrong.

Did this really happen? Is there an actual video of this, or is this just hearsay?
