What does the Bible say about caring for creation?

What can we do to stop polluting our environment? Will God heal our land? So many people are dying of cancer and other environmental dieseases caused by pollution. Animals are being choked to death by all the plastic in the ocean. Some places you cant even have clean air and water and the rain is acid rain!

And this affects everyone all over the world not just some people. What can we do.

Some say I am pessimistic person, but I kinda think it is too late to heal the land. I may be wrong, though.

Good scripture. Thanks for posting.

I just feel like the world is drawing near to the it's end. Jesus said because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall grow cold. Matt. 24.

I'm not saying we shouldn't pray about it and do our best to care for creation, but in the end it is going to happen that this world will be destroyed. I think the state of the the world is only going to get worse until then not better.

In Revelation we are taught one of the first things if not the first thing Jesus is going to do when He returns is to destroy the destroyers……….that is quite a task, but He is quite able.

We are taught in the Proverbs that an evil man is cruel to his beast...….to the wise a few words should be sufficient.

And, obviously, we should be good custodians of all given us in this age from our Father, amen.

In the light of what is to come to pass, why should the emphasis be on environmentalism?...

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
(2Pe 3:10-14)

Not to mention the polluted dying souls due to sin.

Who would choose to be counted among those who were indifferent to people's lost souls because they were so wrapped up in saving 'Mother Earth'? Not I, and it is certain not any who believe in God.

No but by caring for creation we are saving souls because...its all connected.
I dont think christians realise that looking after the earth is actually connected with saving souls. Anyone who knows how to grow food and provide fresh water and NOT to pollute the land is providing the basis for abundant life.

We stop our polluting ways, turn from our wicked ways when we seek God. What christian is going to continue disregarding Gods creation when when what we do now has eternal significance?

The people that pollute the earth with their sinful ways will be removed and the christians will remain because we are the green trees planted by the living waters, our roots go deep. The ones who dont plant the right trees are going to be cut down.

Look at the american dutbowl people actually created that cos of their sinful ways they had no clue how to look after the land and so they starved and died. They were choking on dust...! The people living in cities with no clean air are dying because they are actually contirbuting to destorying creation. Does this mean we go along with them and pollute our earth too? No way! It all starts with you. Turn from your wicked ways. Cos plagues are are destined for you if you dont come out of her...

All this consumption and trade and consumerism is hurting the earth. You dont need it. God will provide and hes going to bring heaven to earth. We just need to cooperate with Him.

Cain was the first person to pollute the ground by slaying Abel, He was cursed, and the earth did not yield her strength to him. Basically what happened the earth was no longer fertile for him and so he couldnt grow anything. He had to give live in the city.

JEsus reverses the curse. We read in revlelation that theres a throne in the city of new jeruslem and coming out of it is crystal clear river of pure livng water flowing out...ezekiel describes it as healing all the land it flows through. And the tree of life in the centre has leaves that are for the healing of nations. Dont underestimate God. And We play a part in this healing.

Please do not throw Greens or Green Peacewith caring for the gift of our Father's creation while we are here. This includes sharing the Word with wheat that would otherwise die.

Do not politicize the Word. We should all learn from it.

Sometimes people tend to politicize what I post, so I get touchy on that.

If I say I want to help all people without asking who or why, I am labeled a Socialist Christian, of which I am not either. I understand our Savior as wanting us to give without asking.

I know that sounds like a fool, but in the US in our best economic times our tax money did go to just about anyone without asking, and there was abundance for all. I am not preaching to go back to any kind of politics, but I do say we must love all, help the widow and orpha intheir affliction and practice hospitality to strangers. Yes, there are cheaters, but the number of those needing help is such I would continue doing so...…. It is best to suffer for doing what is right in the eyes of our Father be itHis will than to suffer for doing what is wrong………..All blessings in thelove of Jesus, Yeshua, always.

Sin pollutes not just us, but our environment. Jesus is not indifferent.
Its possible to care for both INCLUDING the plants and animals God has mandated us to look after.

Those who try to separate it cant see they are destorying themselves when they continue to sin against others.

It has nothing to do with the US politics. The plan for Jesus salvation goes out to all the earth, from Jerusalem, samaria right to the ends of the earth.

USA is just a small part of the earth. USA as a nation isnt even mentioned in the Bible, and God doesnt see in terms of politics. He wants to see us faithful and upholding righteousness.

I know people who pooh pooh looking after the environment and they can poo pooh all they like if they want to live in a filthy polluted earth well God sees their hearts and will give them what they want. There will be no new heaven and earth for them cos they treated the old one with such disdain.

Check out revelation 14:7

This is our God, our creator. He made the earth, the sea, and the fountains of the waters.
Read further on..God judges mystery babylon who corrupts the earth with her fonication. 7 plagues of Gods wrath are poiured out on to the unrepenant...and the great city that caused all the corruption is destoryed. In her the blood of all the prophets are found.

Guess what the prophets in the ot were prophesying about...Israel doing righteouness which they werent doing! They didnt like to hear that they were being sinful and filthy. They got annoyed with God basically telling them to change their wicked ways. They refused to change. They polluted his holy place and the sanctuary.

Why was babylon so rich...? They were trading all sorts of luxury goods and being wasteful. This consumerism comes at a huge cost. Sodom and gomorrah were the same.

They didnt care, they only cared about themselves and living lives of pleasure.

Why does God need to bring us a new heaven and earth? Because Humans are totally destorying the old one! Will we do contiue to damage the new one hes bringing? No! Hes going to heal it...and we are going to be the ones looking after it. So why not start now to learn how?

Basically God wants us to DO THE RIGHT THING.

Which is care for His creation.

I really dont know what excuse people have for not doing this. Hes the one who created the universe and everything in it. Its for His glory.

If we love our God, we will love what he created too.

Sin pollutes not just us, but our environment. Jesus is not indifferent.
One 'sin' pollutes the soul unto eternal damnation, the other so called sin is against the 'environment' of this earth which will one day burn up with intense heat by God. Our mandate as Christians is for souls of men through the Gospel, not the environment, racial issues, class warfare amongst people, that so many Leftists push on the Church today.

But itsnt it sin aginst your soul when you hate Gods creation and leave it as a mess. Your actions indicate that you just dont care because God tells us to love our neighbour. And that includes all of Gods creation. Plants, animals, people.

Am very sorry you think it just doesnt matter to God. He made this earth and He expects us to look after all He created. The environment includes every living thing around you.

It has nothing to do with being 'left' it has everything to do with being righteous.
