"absolute truth" "utterly confused" "reeks of dishonesty"

There is so much here that is brutal.
If ones perspective is absolute, you have just become God and not a man.
My position is a common christian perspective, so not "utterly confused"
I am addressing the issue that you cannot separate actions from Faith.

What I find illuminating is you need such strong language to oppose the obvious.
This is what pomposity does to an individual when they start to believe their own propoganda.
But then part of what you are sharing is Gods word, we stand through faith alone, Amen.

It is the cross that establishes our lives in Christ, that lays the foundation to giving and receiving
others, knowing we are purchased by His blood, redeemed from the world through His work alone,
and we are His body working in the world to the Praise of His Glory, Amen.

20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in
the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Gal 2
What I said is the truth and speaks to your continued modus operandi.....You have been banned at least twice for your drivel, dishonesty and psycho babel........and STILL prove by leaving off part of my quote how dishonest you really are........so......keep peddling your false gospel of works while proving by your actions and deeds that you do not even believe and or follow that which you peddle.....

If this is true then Jesus was not really saying the truth when He told the church in Sardis that He has found their deeds not complete in the sight of God and that they need to remember what they have heard and received, to obey it and repent? If you consider them as saved for believing what they have heard and received the very moment they believed, why would Jesus require them to obey and repent or else He will come like a thief? If they were saved yet reject Jesus what Jesus told them to do and death overtakes them, will they still remain saved?

There are people on CC who says that their sins in the past, present and future were all forgiven and they therefore do not need to ask forgiveness and repent. Some say that lying to the Holy Spirit is Ok, that blasphemy to the Holy Spirit is no longer unforgivable while some boldly declare that they are sinners who will keep sinning until they die but will still be saved. They say that obedience to God has no bearing in salvation. Aren't these contrary to what you say that they obey because they were saved as they claim?

NIV1984 Isaiah 5:20-21
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.

NIV1984 Jude 1:4
For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

NIV1984 1 Timothy 6:3-5
Love of Money If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

No deceiver would ever teach obedience to God and no true Christian would ever teach DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD.
Seohce, Arguless etc......no one, except the other previously banned and back member pays any attention to your Catholic drivel........and when you finally get nailed again...you will be gone again.........so far your style, what you peddle, push, post, bold, and place emphasis upon is giving away who you really are.....and like before....CONTEXT alludes you as well as the simple truths of the bible........!!!

Salvation by grace through faith is a ONE off eternal event with present continuing results.....funny how some like Seohce, Peter and others cannot grasp this simple truth....it is a STAND ALONE event and is not subject to anything other than initial saving faith which Christ GIVES---->starts, finishes and completes............

 dcon - you certainly believe in yourself, but cannot address scripture or what Jesus is telling us.

"drivel, dishonesty and psycho babel" is this your best response to the word of the Lord.

You sound like the soldiers who mocked Jesus at His crucifixion. Thankfully I am seeking Gods approval
and not yours. God is gracious and loving, kind, considerate and forgiving for those who repent of their
sins.

7 The LORD sets prisoners free,
8 the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.
9 The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
Psalm 146

5 The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
Psalm 33

The sad thing for the broken and down trodden, is even when they meet the Lord, know the cross and His grace,
still they are harder on themselves than God is. Rather than resting and starting to love and establish their walk
in His grace, they easily fall into self pity and defeat, rather than praising and lifting Jesus on high, and knowing the
power of the Holy Spirit bringing them power and love that overcomes this world. But it take true faith to exercise
this emotional reality, to see and know through the cross we are new creations, made in His likeness to bring His
gospel to mankind. And though these very words you would claim as your own, you will deny me and those who
walk in faith with our King. It is this antagonism that puzzles me, because it suggests something much deeper,
that needs resolving. Jesus put it like this

30 He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.
Matt 12

7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
1 Thess 4

9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you.
And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
Rom 8

The Holy Spirit will never deny these principles, so those who do, do not belong to Christ.
This discussion has always been about the heart and its purification, and how a person who believes
in Christ could survive with an impure heart. The answer is they cannot. This is hard, but those who walk
in the Spirit know this reality, Praise God, so it is only unbelievers who stay deluded and confused.
Thank you Jesus for your Spirit and your clarity, Amen.

you will never get what we are saying as long as you deny free grace, and think that when one comes to Christ, then one only gets forgiveness , and salvation then has to be earned by being 100% sanctified , i.e. when you " walk just as He walked ", which is a goal to move toward, not a trophy to win.

I could go on, but a lot of your totally wrong beliefs would be corrected if you used actual word definitions, and not just assign whatever meaning you want, thereby giving your opinion more weight than fact..

As I have never believed I earn anything, you cannot put on me what I do not believe.
My friend, I do not know you, but I can testify because you believe you oppose me, we have a different
experience in Jesus.

I just want to know how to walk like Jesus, to know His righteousness, His heart and His will.
That is our heart in Jesus. Now as His people I cannot say of another where they are, other than just
walk and praise the Lord. I am humbled that even though Jesus knew Judas was lost, He worked with
him and gave him all the opportunities the others had.

Our walk is the walk of being Jesus's love on earth worked out and shining. So that is all I want to encourage,
because there are many delusions people are under, and how they shut others out, yet appear to know so much
in Jesus. Look at Paul and Peters interaction, or Paul with Barnabus. It is easy to see something that is not there
and to miss the blessing God is bringing us.

9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.
11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thess 5

I know many brothers and sisters who carry many different struggles and histories. In Christs love He can
begin to remake us and bring us deeper into His will and ways. So it is this I value, look to Jesus and follow Him.

BTW.......Our/Your words are not the words of the Lord.....so this is a false equivocation since I am sure @dcontroversal was NOT referring to the words of scripture!

Now you see this is where the dishonesty lies...smh

I am simply quoting scripture. These are the words of the Lord.
If one stands against living a holy life and believing we can continue impure, then one is speaking
against the Lord.

The sad thing is I walk by faith, I live by faith and desire to follow Jesus, and yet am condemned
as an evil individual. If you think that is dishonest, then there is little I can do to help.

As believers we can only take people as they are, not as we project them to be.
So unless you can be specific about what you are truly referring to, it is just slander and miss-representation.
What I find puzzelling is why any follower of Jesus would want to speak like this?
Unless I am not talking to believers, but those who claim the promises but do not really believe Jesus
died for them, cleansed them and empowered them to walk in love.

It is love that should be the key in a believers heart. But I have found many claim to know Jesus but do
not know love, given to them or them being capable of loving others. But as this is the very fruit of the
Spirit and a result of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, it probably indicates a lot of individuals who do not
know Jesus and are not born again.

This is not unusual if you ever have become an evangelist. Some go to church all their lives, and have never
met Jesus. Here on this forum it will also be true, because finding the Lord is not easy or necessarily obvious.
God bless you.

Honesty

If one simply makes a statement of faith, and supports it with scripture, that is where one stands.
I have discovered on these forums, for some trigger words cause a deluge of condemnation.
Love, repentance, purity, holiness, righteousness.

All these words are innate in Jesus and our walk. So if they make one an enemy of some, then
unfortunately they do not know Jesus. Light is light, and darkness hates the light.

6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood
of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
1 John 1

We walk in the light of love and righteousness. It is the light of the cross and Jesus's work in our hearts.
If this light is darkness and evil to you, I am truly worried you do not understand God and Jesus at all.

it does 0 amount of good if you quote Scripture while at the same time ignoring the definitions and meanings of the words you are quoting.

it also is useless and wrong just to pluck verses out of context and build theology around them, as your church did with it's lying, silly , man made creed, which should be thrown in the city dump, along with all the other garbage.

what a horrible lie to tell people that when they come to faith in Christ, their sins are forgiven, but salvation is not granted until they are 100% sanctified....

in situations where "when push comes to shove", how to purify motive of one's heart?

Or, how to rely on God to do that?

I hope to better understand the seed and soil analogy

I wanted to ask "why does water hardens soil" based on observation

It fills in particles of soil will even finer particles of soil, causing it to be less aerated.

1557767165686.jpeg

Therefore you have to Plow the field,
I fell asleep one morning, and plowed an S
in the middle of the wheat stubble:

Then Disc the field:

1557767831241.jpeg

Followed by Manure Spreading the Field to fertilize it.
LOVELY CHORE, smelliest job on the farm, some do it before plowing.
And if the something gets stuck in there, GUESS WHO HAS TO GET IN TO CLEAN IT OUT:

Then Harrow the field:

JUST to get the GROUND ready to Plant Crops:

Counting Spraying for Insects, weed Tilling, and the Harvest, you have to go over the SAME GROUND 8 times a year, or more; if you do not have an irrigation well, or have to go out to CHOP cockleburs and sunflowers.

NOW, juggle all of that with going to School. You have to get up at 5:00 to milk the cows, feed and water the chickens, ducks, pigs, then plow the field for an hour, then Mom had breakfast ready, then change cloths, then walk 2.5 miles to school. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM DAYS that the kids of today have once a week or more?

Zechariah 13:5 (NRSV)
5 but each of them will say, "I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the soil; for the land has been my possession since my youth."

No, I was only a farm boy in my youth, but:

Philippians 1:3 (GW)
3 I thank my God for all the memories . . .

Sad, that is all my heart cries. Jesus died upon the cross to give us life.
It is through faith we are made new, praise the Lord.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on
to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting
what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
15 All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think
differently, that too God will make clear to you.
Phil 3

We are called to press on, and what we achieve is in the hands of the Lord, Amen.

A blind man is blind, until they are given sight, everything is black.

39 Jesus said, "For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind."
40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, "What? Are we blind too?"
41 Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.
John 9

It is amazing to me to have someone who believes they stay as sinner, doing evil and hurting
others, has sight to correct others, which means to accuse them of being sinners and slaves to
sin. This can only be done because these people do not understand what sin is, and that Jesus
sets us free from slavery to sin. Praise the Lord.

19 Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing
wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.
20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap
leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
Romans 6

Sadly if the reader wants to create their own meaning they can, and that is the gift God has given
us so we get what we desire. But when love rules ones heart the outcomes are set, Amen.

100 % sanctified?

God loves infinitely
Humans love finite

Infinity - finite = infinite
We fall infinitely short

It is mathematically impossible to love like God does

Therefore, perfect sanctification is impossible

Which last sentence are you disagreeing with? That grace preserves us (kept by the power of God through faith 1 Peter 1:5) or the one that says we are sanctified by grace through faith (God purified their hearts by faith" (Acts 15:9, Acts 26:18)?

We are justified by grace through faith (Romans 5:1)

we are regenerated by grace through faith (John 3)

we are sanctified by grace through faith (Acts 26:18)

we are kept by grace through faith. (1 Peter 1:5)

IT IS ALL by Grace through faith, FROM FIRST TO LAST.
