we have had over 100 years of war and before that 200 yrs of conquest during the european expansion, so are we up to the third horseman, drought and famine or as he is widely called climate change, it does not say much about him in rev, just that he has a pair of scales and that wheat and bailey will go up. in my country we have the worse drought in centuries and wheat has already gone up in price and there is world wide catastrophic weather events happening every week. what are your thought on this, is climate change prophetic and what about the forth horseman, disease plague and death

In the 70's they warned of a impending ice age, through the 80's and 90's the same people
warned us of global warming. When that didnt pan out the very same crowd switched it to
climate change. Which of course cant be argued, because the climate is ever in a state of "change".

The answer for them? Legislation, regulation, and feelgood worthless retoric that does nothing.
The likes of al gore are getting filthy rich of the ignorant, and fearful, who dont want to be
singled out as "climate denyer's"

Good day noblenut,

Just fyi, the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments, as well as all of the plagues that the two witnesses will bring upon the earth, is how God is going to carry out His wrath leading up to the Lord's return to the earth to end the age.

The first seal rider on the white horse, is representing the revealing of the antichrist. Since the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments take place in the chronological order that they are listed in Revelation, then the world have had to have seen the revealing of the antichrist. Since He has not been revealed, then none of the other seals, nor trumpet and bowls have taken place.

The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will take place in a relatively short time. Something other than climate change is going to cause world famine. The scales are representing the precise weighing of the wheat and barely, which denotes food shortage. A denarius represents a days wages. Therefore, the reference to "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius," is indicative of a lot of money for a small amount of food.

The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will be the fulfillment of "the day of the Lord," which will be the worst time in the history of the world. Though there have and are definite problems in the world, they will pale in comparison to the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments. These events of God's wrath are going to be abrupt and will be perceived by the entire world.

The fourth seal rider (death and Hades) will be the results of the previous seals. For the scripture states that death and Hades will be given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by "sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth." A fourth of the inhabitants of the earth would be about 1.7 billion people killed during the first 3 1/2 years of that last seven year period.

To be clear, the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments, are not events that are going to take place over a long period of time, but will take place like a woman having birth pains. This means that just as birth pains start out far apart, as they continue they will get closer together and more intense as each plague of wrath is meted out until the end. Regarding this time, Jesus said that "if those days had not been cut short, no one would survive."

In addition, another reason that we could not be experiencing the seals, is because they are apart of God's wrath, which believers in Christ are not appointed to suffer. The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will affect the entire world, for it is God's wrath. Therefore, the promise that Jesus made to gather those who believe in Him (John 14:1-3, 1 Thess.4:13-18) will take place prior to the first seal being opened, which initiates God's wrath.

Rest assured that the first seal has yet to be opened, but the time is getting very close.

actually the 4 horseman are spiritual entities that influence the world and are mentioned in ezekiel, i find there is no correlation between the the first horseman the the beast who is not even mentioned to after these things take place.

Hello noblenut,
In Revelation 9:20 we see all the plagues that occur in Revelation chapters 8 & 9 attributed to the love mankind has for the works his hands produce. Today these works are produced primarily through industry, which burn fossil fuels.
In Revelation 8:7, 1/3 of earths trees, along with all green grass is burned. Today throughout the world we see increasing forest fires, along with increasing desertification due to increasing global warming.
In Revelation 8:8-9, 1/3 a great mountain burning as fire falls into the seas turning them to become blood, and causing the death of much life.
Today, throughout the world we see increasing algae blooms, (referred to as red tides), caused by fertilizer runoff, which are made from fossil fuels.
In Revealation 8:10-11, we see a great star, that burning as a lamp falls on 1/3 of earths fresh water rivers and underground aquifers, turn them poisonous, and causing the death of much life.
Today hyrdraulic frackuring operations (referred to as fracking), for the purpose of removing natural gas from deep underground is turning many fresh water rivers and underground reservoirs poisonous.
In Revelation 8:12 we see the luminosity from the sun, the moon, and stars, diminished by 1/3, and not shining for 1/3 of their normal time.
Today throughout the world we see many industrialized areas where fossil fuels darken the skies, where the sun, moon and stars are often not visible.
What comes after fossil fuels, with the opening of the bottomless pit, is far worse, as the angel in Revelation 8:13 declares in a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabiters of the earth, by reason of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"

Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Revelation 8:13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
