Revelation 2:26-29
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
All authority is in the hands of the Lord.

To me this verse goes with verse 2. We may think we know what’s right but in the end we can be sure that God’s plan for us is good. We can let go of our desires and truly seek what it is He wants for us and know that His way is the best way. The use of rivers (channels) remains me how there could be many paths before us but only one will lead to life. Knowing the Lord turns it wherever He wills is knowing that you’ll always end up on the right path if you listen to Him.

Ecclesiastes 1: 7. All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers flow, there they flow again.
Water always flows downhill, yet river's can change course
God's seal or circular reasoning. Comparing the unseen spiritual to the same .Faith to faith .

I wonder if we are all prewired to take the easiest path. The one that has the least resistance....Honestly, who would consciously choose a path that is harder if they believe they can get to their destination the same?
I obviously have no way of knowing if this is universally true.
Maybe life is just like those choose your own adventure books from the 80’s. You can choose to go into the cave and navigate or walk around it by turning to page ____.
Well, all those choose your own adventure books ended the exact same way, no matter which choice you made.

Well, all those choose your own adventure books ended the exact same way, no matter which choice you made.
It may well be the way of the worldly people, and I think it surely is. However, if one reads Scripture, one quickly learns that Believers choose NOT the easy path, but the "straight and narrow" path spoken of by Christ. All one has to do is read how (time after time) the Disciples did what they knew was the will of God, and rarely ever the easiest thing. One example:
Acts 4:18) And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19) But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20) For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
21) So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
They were beaten, stoned, whipped, hunted down and imprisoned, and killed! Yet they willingly chose to obey God and not man. That is not taking the easiest path in my opinion.

I look at it like Pharoah and Moses
Phoaroah hardened his own heart many times and changed his mind, God hardened his heart also.
The word harden literally means to strengthen. It means that God used Pharaoh’s desire and will (free will) to accomplish what God needed to be done. And remember, God raised him up and put him in power for this very reason.
Free will is like predestination, it does exist but we don't really know how it all ties into life. God can manipulate men's hearts while still leaving us room for our choices. We will never know if God directs a certain decision of ours. Like Romans 8:28 says, it will always be for our spiritual good.
