I asked to get clarification, M.. :) And what does my not liking correction have to do with whether my family listens to me or not?
I should not be surprised you miss the point, as so many seem to, even while they wonder why they are supposedly being "misunderstood" while they promote two opposing points of view, such as @UnderGrace who questions the efficacy of your tactic while immediately turning around to congratulate you on it, deeming it "perfect" and laughing about it, even while having decried any comparison to others who do the exact same thing :(

It’s a lot of bending, twisting and straw man creating on here. I might have to plead guilty myself on that one, but it can be really confusing at times.

are logical syllogisms the only way to fix logical fallacies, and minimize the likelihood of running into logical fallacies?

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is keep quiet. A message that isn't listened to closes doors. That little voice of right and wrong that Kevin responded to, that's going to grow and condemn him until he has to talk about it. Then who is he going to go to - someone who he knows will just harass and bash him, or someone who was willing to withhold judgment in order to keep the door open? Several of the disciples were warned at various times not to go to various places because they weren't ready to receive the message yet. Shoving unwanted dictates down people's throat just guarantees they will NOT come to you when they are ready to talk.
Don't put your lack of wisdom and gentleness onto others.
You may witness to people clumsily by harassment and bashing, but many of us can preach the gospel in gentleness and with
reference to what Jesus has done for us.
And what's this withholding judgment in order to keep the door open? Man your style of preaching is the problem.
"shoving unwanted dictates down people's throats" again I see that you are the problem.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matthew 10:16

I preach how a person can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit and that miracles and healings
are also available to bless their lives with.
No bashing, no thumping, no harassing. No shoving it down their throats.
As for any judging the Word of God does that by itself - speaking to a person's soul and heart.
If they are not ready or willing to hear the gospel at that time then I just move on to the next person who might listen.
Hopefully, later on a person might have another opportunity to repent and to believe.

Choosing the most appropriate time to speak is Scriptural and shows wisdom, waiting to be moved by the Spirit before speaking is also Scriptural, and shows wisdom, treating others with loving kindness is also Scriptural, and shows wisdom and maturity. Somehow you manage to deny all this in preference to your delusion.

I also need to work on this

it's good that we do have a sense of justice, but it's best to speak at the right time

God draws us to repentance with lovingkindness, not condemnation, and pointing this out in no way indicates a lack of integrity on my part as @Waggles falsely accused me of when I gave the example of the adulterous woman not being condemned by Jesus. It has been a pleasure witnessing Ricky's wisdom and maturity in this matter :)

If you say so.

Yet your posts are so full of strife.

Look at what you wrote to Ricky in this post.

Is he really the problem?

Could there be a problem with your post as well?

Have you been giving it some thoughts how you have been behaving in this thread?

I must say that I have been out of line more than once in this thread. How about you?

Have been giving some thoughts about how you are behaving in this thread?
defending and upholding the righteousness of the gospel of salvation.
defending God given marriage.
using the scriptures to explain the truth about the Christian life and walk.
challenging and calling out the blasphemous notion of same-sex wedding.
challenging Ricky's words about how brutal preaching to the unsaved is and imposing this on to all other Christians.

Ricky Z blogged the following words not me but him -
"is keep quiet"
"who he knows will just harass and bash him"
"Shoving unwanted dictates down people's throat"

I merely replied that I and many others do not preach like that at all.

Oh you should see what the Lord did with a friend of mine on another issue!
What, are you going to share. Did they stop sodomizing or fornicating or something. Let me guess they repented and got baptised and now born again?

I cant think what else it would be.

I dont really like how lots of people are constantly misunderstanding each other on this thread. If you dont explain it how we going to know. I dont live with you or fellowship with your church so how am I supposed to know what you talking about? I mean to say please it would help if you were more direct in your posts and explain the situations better. Then nobody has to guess what you talking about.

I dont think many christians belong to the infamous westboro baptist cult. Thats just one church. Its wrong to say that would be what most christians do. Its a small minority and I would not even call them christians the way they 'preach'.

Also people dont seem to understand what preaching is. Preaching isnt going to a gay wedding and just being there and not saying anything, hoping people will talk to you, see the errors of their ways and turn to Christ. You actually have to SAY something, share the gospel and pray. You also need to have the power of the holy spirit cos its not just words themselves but the miracles that happen when you speak the Word.

PAul didnt go on his missionary trips, visit all these different countries and just write up a travelogue about it like a tourist. Oh the heathens in athens are really bad! They all going to hell. Too hard. I will come back to them. He didnt do that, he preached every chance he got. Even if he got put in prison, he then preached in the prison.

Maybe so, but also you seem to be well versed in the belittling business. Your response to Ricky was clearly in that section of this thread.

Unfortunately many of your responses are offspring from that section.

Are you ready to examine yourself on this?

THEN THEY SHOULD NOT be performing marriage ceremonies!! Or ANY ceremony where God's word would be needed, FTM.
Just remember blue, our government is not religious. We can not dictate God to everyone.
They don't listen, because they think they know it all, and that they alone are right and that I'm just an idiot who doesn't know what she's talking about.
Again, we can't browbeat people with the word of God. Sometimes they are not ready.
Even if it takes years? Decades? Cuz we ain't got much time left, Ricky.
We must quit trying to save the world for Christ. That is what makes Christians pushy. Remember Jesus said: wise as serpents and harmless as doves.(y):)

what if Matthew 25:42 - 46 applies to the need to show love to gay people?

For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

(Matthew 25:42 - 46)
