To all that have been saved or born again, did you all feel something instantaneously or was it more of a gradual “uneventful” transition ?
For example, when my dad got saved he saw angels and heard a voice and got warm feeling like he had been cleansed. But my mom from my understanding was more transitional over time and just became saved or born again without really a specific encounter like my dad did
That being said, my dad had a much harder/tougher life and was not in a good place at all. Where as my mom had a good close family life and was always happy and social and stuff. My got saved or born again after my dad.

I ask because I have had a great life, as far as family and friends and stuff. Still periodically through my last few years or so, it’s seems that something is missing

I was taking with my mom a little bit about it and thought i would get some thoughts and experiences on here

Well since you aren't introducing yourself as a new user I don't see this as fitting here. Perhaps the Miscellaneous forums is a good place for threads you aren't sure where to put.

As far as your question it seems you are placing way too much emphasis on the method one gets saved and thinking it has any effect on the rest of their life. There are two types, saved, not saved. Whether it was a big deal or a small deal when it happened is 100% irrelevant.
Other sources dictate our lives. Personality type, upbringing, mental illness, just to name a few.
Paul, in the bible, had a rather extreme salvation story, yet one would not say he had an easy life.
People are different. It's just that simple. No big spiritual issue to make of it.

My apologies for posting this here incorrectly. It was more of just curious question to see how people’s saving happened to them

Somehow my "inner persona" softened and become "child-like", I saw myself as if I'm a little child "wishing upon a star" or "feeling excited to receive a Christmas gift" as if expecting to see something
special, and I prayed with an inner child, "I want you in my life"
this is my favorite part of my testimony

It was a gradual growing thing for me. Just remember that Jesus loves you and WANTS to be close to you. God bless you, my dear friend.
