Jesus was and is GOD....not some ignorant 21st century rabbi....NEXT.....and you obviously do not study the word......

a. HE CAUSES <---is the word and through THREAT of having their heads cut OFF to receive the mark and
b. GOD sends strong delusion and ALL that will not receive the LOVE of the truth are DELUDED into taking it
c. The above two does not suggest SWAY

I suggest you study the word and quit parroting what some man believes.......

and me laughing at the idiotic statement that was made in anyway, shape or form = to anything other than the ignorance of parroting another man as proof......

Soooooo..... What about pre vs mid tribulation rapture? Notice I didn't even include end tribulation rapture because.... well, that just doesn't make any sense at all. Personally, I'm a mid trib, but I wouldn't mind a pre tribulation exodus :)

I'm the same. I know it's either but we'd be wise to be ready starting now. Good nite, long day for me.

I should mention that his failure in the late Great Planet Earth was one of the reasons, but I think not the only reason, for atheist Michael Shermer's decision to be a nonbeliever. Shermer should not have based his decisions on Lindsey's eschatology, but that's another topic for another time.
 
1- Israel is a nation again. That should be miracle enough but...
2- Israel is surrounded by its enemies.
3- All indications point toward an alliance between the "kings of the north and east" Russia/China
4- All the machinery and manpower necessary for Armageddon has been in place for many years now.
5- Anti-Semitic/Anti-Christian sentiment is world wide.
6- Christians are now dying every day in the name of false gods and politics.
7- Israel currently has defensive walls.
8- Israel wants to build a new temple and reinstate the practice of animal sacrifice.
9- Global communications and technology necessary for world government now exist.
10- Christian churches are barely surviving today.

This was just off the top of my head....

I love Hal Lindsey ... been watching for a long long time ... I really hope he gets to experience the rapture

Hal got many enthused for faith, Holy Spirit does the rest.
At least he got many of us moving in the right direction.
Our destiny in Christ is there, our assignment is HERE, we need to focus more on our walk with Him here, and we will, in Jesus name.

I saw Arthur Blessitt at Trafalgar Square. Is he still alive because you never hear about him. Around that time there was also the invisible Church in the UK but they vanished!! perhaps they were raptured.
 
Last I saw him was on CBN, I stopped TV in my home a few years ago so haven't seen him.

Stone false prophets, because they claim to be Gods mouth piece, and when they show they are
something else, they are a false god.

How many millions of believers took this fraud seriously?
As a teenager I thought it was dangerous stuff. Imagine this, at the time when warnings about
divorce, sexual immorality and pornography were being spoken, Hal Lindsay pushed his stuff.

Rather than focusing on love and how love in Jesus put into our hearts transforms us, the gospel
was believe in God, go to church and you will be raptured. So if the rapture does not take place,
must have been junk after all.

It is like swallowing a cyanide pill and saying it is a cure to illness.

Look at society now. Divorce, sexual immorality running riot, abuse, no moral focus or integrity,
people finding themselves isolated, desperate and alone.

Hal was not the only one mind you. I can remember seeing 4 movies regarding the soon to come (1980's) rapture that were being promoted by Christian organizations. I saw 2 at church. They were similar to "Left behind."

The list of suspects for the Antichrist went from the premier of the (then) USSR, the Prime Minister of Israel, The Iatola Khomeini, The Pope, The Queen and the President. And the Beast? The same list plus the World Bank, the Free Masons, The Vatican, The Royal Family, the European Common Market, The Trilateral Commission, Iran, OPEC, NATO the U.N. and the Rockefeller Foundation. Guess What? Nothing happened.

What amazes me is the guys who pushed the end is here etc. added to revelations.
They seemed to have no fear of the warning of adding to the book,

18 If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
19 And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him
his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Something does not quite add up. If you add to the book, and you are wrong about the coming of the plagues,
how can they be added to your life?
Maybe this is a figurative adding to in terms of judgement.
To take away from the words, seems far worse, as ones salvation is lost.

But my feeling at the time was this was hallowed ground, spoken of in allegory, so that the awe could be seen,
but the actual times not be known until one was there. And certainly it does not appear we have been
there, except things like the black death came pretty close.
 
Update on Arthur Blessitt see my post 111

I checked him out. He is still around and heads the Arthur Blessitt Evangelical Association. He is STILL carrying a cross about at age 78!!
