I have a two-pronged suggestion.

First, when someone posts a prayer request, it would be helpful if they provide as much information as possible about the person for whom they are requesting prayers. Short of compromising that person's privacy, the more information provided, the more specific the prayers can be, and (I believe) more effective.

Second, it would be nice to get updates on the people we are praying for, especially those instances where our prayers seem to have had a positive effect (healing, recovery, etc.). But in any case, I know that when I pray for someone, I sincerely want my prayers to help. It would be nice to know when they do (or don't, where more prayer is needed).

Let me know what you think. :)

lol i think God knows our hearts and we don't need to post specifics we just need to pray persistently and with pure hearts towards the throne of God, having forgiven others of their transgressions against us so God will forgive us and listen to our prayers. Our Heavenly Father loves us, but is also JUST. Beware not to offend a child of God or they might bring you before the Judge.

I agree. I learned the exact same thing from my mother. When I would ask her to agree in prayer for the needs of a friend, she would ask me to follow up with them to see how and when God answered the prayer. That also gave her the opportunity to thank Him for His answers. It's also a faith-builder..."taste and see that God is good"
