They called it civil unions before it was legalized as marriage.
In some countries its still illegal.

If its legal in your country then yes there is such a thing as a gay wedding, and apparently it is big business for wedding events planners.

That does not mean you have to go to one, it is your choice whther to attend or not, but most all of thee wedding ceremonies will not be held in a church or officiated by a minister, people get celebrants to do them. You can register at a regestry office, and they probably wont bat an eye because...if its legal, you can do it and you cant go to jail for it. Laws have been changed for homesexuality to become legal, before it was illegal and police could arrest people and chuck them in jail apparently. I dont know if that actually happened. But it probably didnt stop people from practicising it in prison.

Now the laws have been changed maybe its protected people who chose to do something wrong from their own selves just like how when prostuituon was legalised, the prostitutes could make a living easier. Instead of working off the streets, they could operate from the comfort of their own homes. Or something like that.

Unforunately, laws dont really stop people from choosing to do what is wrong. I think people change them more so that they dont have to deal with them or feed people in prison.

There are churches that are LBQT friendly and in areas with high concentrations of those populations where its prevalent. In Romans times it was a common thing. But this is the thing, all those who heard the gospel repented and forsook their former lifestyles. Cos they became washed and sanctified.

There are may testimonies..one I heard of is a christian called Sy Rogers. Look him up.
Also theres some former lesbians who wrote about becoming christian and how they got persecuted by the gay community for turning back on them. I cant remember the name but if remember I will post it here.

And it was not that these people just suddenly stopped being gay or sleeping around. GOd actually did a work in them and changed their hearts. It was His work, not theirs.

Most of us that live in medium sized towns of 100,00-500,000 population Have had to drive around city wide 'Q' pride celebrations and many live in towns of over a million.

We're not going to give up just because we are offended. We see it every day. Just like liquor Stores, Strip clubs and palm readers.

This is not our world.
It actually is our world.

John 12:31
Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.

John 14:30
I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me,

John 16:11
and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

Matthew 4:8
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Revelation 12:8-10 New International Version (NIV)
8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.

John 17:14-17 14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

John 18:36-37 New King James Version (NKJV)

36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

11COR. 4:4.
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest The Light
of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is The Image of God, should shine unto them.

it's very clear from the fruits of this world, that God Almighty is not ruling this world right now,
although His is in charge of all things for the most part at this time, He allows mankind to
go the way of the wicked-one - God interferes when 'the world' interferes with His plans...

I minister and preach salvation to the lost individually.
I do not go partake of unseemly acts and ceremonies that are profane.
I preach and minister to all sorts of people out in the street, or the bus stop or the supermarket, and so on.
It has nothing to do with anger. That is a red herring.
I do not drink alcohol in a pub to witness to a person who is still bound by their sin. I preach how Jesus and the gospel by the
power of the Holy Spirit can set them free and heal them (and also eternal life as a bonus).

The world is his for now till Jesus returns with the angels and saints to finish the battle of Armageddon with flaming swords.
I see evangelism as if we are recruiting for Jesus while the great commission is still ongoing. The millennium is yet to come. We belong to the Lord now and not to the world anymore. This life is temporary only our salvation is permanent.

Jesus fulfilled the old covenant and bought us with is blood. Now we are under a new covenant and our main responsibility is to share the love of Jesus to all who will listen.

Acts 17:31 31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead."

Acts 10:42 42He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.

John 5:27 27And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.

Ezekiel 44:1-3 1Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. 2The LORD said to me, "This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it. 3The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way."

Revelation 19:11-21 (NIV)
The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:

King of Kings and lord of lords.

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”

19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21 The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

Are you an Amillennial believer? Do you teach that Satan is already bound?
The millennium is a period of time, I do not think it is a literal thousand years, and Satan was defeated, have not really understood the "bound" part and what it means.

We're currently in a milennium, and it's another 1801 years until the next one. So a milennium iS LITERALLY a thousand years. Satan won't be defeated until Jesus returns for the final time, and locks him up (binds him) for one thousand years.

What happens after the thousand years is up, and satan is loosed again, I have no clue..

Until then, this world belongs to the devil and we are unfortunate enough to reside on it. :/

I think you and others how chosen to misunderstand and misinterpret what I have written on this thread.
I do not have uncontrollable disgust for homosexuals and their lifestyles.

What I do have as an issue is with Christians who will not challenge the notion of a "gay wedding."
My beef is that there is no such thing as a homosexual or same-sex "wedding."
Marriage and thus the wedding ceremony are God given for men and women to procreate and to have families.
Same-sex unions can do neither and are an abomination, a profanity.
And yet here on CC we have Christians defending such blasphemous weddings as OK and that they would attend and
support the "wedded" same-sex couple.

And it is not only I but plenty of other CC members have posted good scriptures and wisdom as to why RickyZ ought not to go
to his nephew's "wedding" but to no avail.
Suddenly the thread turned into a calling out of alleged close minded, self-righteous bigots who have no love and were condemning
all homosexuals out of proportion to other sinners.
Many times I attempted to to bring the thread back to the OP issue of should I attend my nephew's "wedding" but those who
see no wrong in attending such an abomination reduced the thread to some serious name calling and slander.

I will never attend and support a same-sex union ceremony not because I hate anybody doing such, but because I have
wisdom and discernment as to my walk with the Lord as a Christian with a testimony.
I am happy to preach to any person, gay or not, about Jesus in less offensive venues and places - a shopping mall or in the street.
It is because I wasn't speaking in regards to the biblical definition of a wedding. Rather the humanistic version. BTW I have NEVER attended a gay wedding or reception and I risked my job by refusing to take part or participate in the City wide Long Beach CA. Gay pride celebration as well. I eventually did lose my job for being too conservative and I was labeled as a Homophobe.
