This line of reasoning is out of line stone. How do you know we do not feel gods power. I feel it all the time as does all these gentlemen

When you say stuff like this is just makes you look bad!
What I said has nothing to do with feeling EG.

how can Christians profess to love God when they hate the Word of God
I'm not one that believes salvation starts at Pentecost Waggles. I was born again, and very much in love with Jesus, first.

There are different places in the temple, true? There's the courtyard, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies. Could this have anything to do with our body being called the temple of God?

Also, I wasn't ignoring your post to me about preternatural-supernatural.

Supernatural describes something that is uncanny, something that must be caused by a force beyond the natural. Such diverse things as ghosts, angels, mediumship and elves are considered supernatural. Previously, supernatural described things that were attributable to the divine, but now is used to mean anything that is beyond what may be proved physically and scientifically. The word supernatural is derived from the Latin word supernaturalis, which means above nature. Related words are supernaturally, supernaturalis.

Previously, supernatural described things that were attributable to the Divine, but now is used to mean anything that is beyond what may be proved physically and scientifically.

What I said was that Hollywood had made supernatural to be all evil, and magnified the "power" in men's minds.

I think some Christians fear this moreso than rejecting or hating. Others hold their leaders teachings as having all the truth, and any veering away is erroneous.

Note...the paragraph on supernatural was taken from a website. Is not my words.

You claimed that the folks in Acts 10 were saved before they received the Holy Spirit. This is a patently false claim. Another little problem for you is that they spoke in tongues before they received water baptism. Kind of refutes your standard timeline for receiving the Holy Spirit further illustrating your lack of understanding on the subject.

You have a faulty soteriology and everything you build on that faulty foundation will not stand biblical examination.

Ephesians chapter 2 lays out a clear doctrine of the Holy Spirit bringing to life those who were dead in trespass and sin.

Wouldn't you think that the audience of Paul all had the experience of Pentecost?

Am sure Paul would lay hands on those who lacked. And the other leaders too.

Is what is supposed to be.

L-E-G-A-L-I-S-I-M in respect to what law. What does the law confirm? What do Stammering lips as mocking words have to do with the tongues doctrine?

What does the law confirm. Good sign as a blessing or one to stay away from as a curse?

1 Corinthians 14:20-22 King James Version (KJV) Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
Garee, you are so far off in understanding Isaiah, it's downright pitiful.

Read the gospels and acts. Is this not proof enough? Nowhere Jesus ore the apostles kicked ore punched somebody for to heal. If you think I am wrong, then you are the one who show me the scripture, so that I can change my mind.
Lol..You make me laugh Wolf. You've been shown scripture over and over but still go back to what you think occurred in the past.

What if there wasn't any during the period that you claim?

It's happening now all over the world.

Make the number it right?
Punching and hiting people for to heal them is not the way Jesus heals. But you can find this method among medicineman from tribals.

What I said has nothing to do with feeling EG.
What I said had nothing to do with feelings either. My point was your constant insisting we do not feel Gods power. Its wrong. You have no idea what we have felt tasted or experienced about God.

The speaking in tongues didn't happen until they were saved. nowhere does the context even suggest they were not saved and received the empowering of the Holy Spirit before conversion. That is why Peter said

"Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?

They believed they received and they were baptized after they were saved.
Amen! I once heard someone who attends the church of Christ try to make the erroneous argument that these Gentiles in Acts 10:43-47 who believed, received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues were still lost in their sins at that point and were not saved until they were water baptized "afterwards." He tried to argue from Acts 11:15 that as Peter "began to speak" as if that implies Peter said nothing yet and the Holy Spirit came upon them. Yet in Acts 10:43-44, we read - Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.” 44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. *So these Gentiles believed, received the Holy Spirit and were saved BEFORE water baptism. In the same way like christians profess to love God and ignore the word of God.
In the same way there are "nominal" Christians who profess to love God but twist the scriptures and pervert the gospel.

Why don't you show us that love by confirming the sign that is associated with tongues? Rather than serving unknowns wonderments (mysticism) as it would seem. . . your true. . . fill me up love.

What does the outward sign reveal? Faithfulness or no faith that alone comes from hearing the words of God's prophecy ? Can't serve two masters. Or we are not permitted some do .

You can use the foundation of the doctrine (Isaiah 28) It helps explain why God mocks those with stammering lips as those who have no sabbath rest .

Show us the love brother Waggles . I will offer the portions of scripture. I call it the doctrine of : "yet for all that they still refuse to believe prophecy in any manner to include tongues". I will color code it to help undestad just who is in the picture.

I will be praying you might actual look to the foundation of the doctrine. Destroying that, then we can never receive his understanding .

I will be waiting for you love.. brother.

Isaiah 28:11-13 King James Version (KJV) For with stammering lips( mocking) and another tongue will he speak to this people.
To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Brother Waggles lets not be childish in our understanding about it .let the tongue of God dwell in your heart richly . Don't fall backward..

Wherefore tongues are "for a sign", not to them that believe, (Christians) but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

Yes for some unknow reason they must stay away from the true foundation (the light). That light reveals there non biblical foundation (no foundation) for what it is.(Not of God)

Isaiah 28. Its when silence is the unknown secret private fools gold . Like don't search the foundation of the doctrine you might find the kind of real gold as the new tongue of the believer .The gospel of there salvation . They are metaphors as sign in that parable that clearly show us one have received the new tongue the gospel. By it they can cast out demons and lying spirits of lying wonderments.

You keep citing Isaiah 28, but then in the same breath you talk about the "new tongue". Has it occurred to you that you are being hypocritical? When Paul wrote about 'speaking in tongues' and 'interpretation of tongues' together in 1 Corinthians, is there any hint that he meant "the gospel"? No. None at all. Your assertion is completely without evidence.

IN Acts chapter 10 starting at verse 34 Peter is preaching Christ to them.

You can see this in verses 35 to 37

" But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the [l]children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus ChristHe is Lord of all— 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:

The empowering of the Holy Spirit is for the Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

You left off what happened.
It says while peter was yet speaking.

You got a problem with what is says, not what i am saying.

"While he was speaking "means he did not get out all his sentences.
It means litterally "before he finished"

So,they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit AND SPAKE IN TONGUES prior to being born again.

You need that verse omitted.

You framed that without that verse.
Your claim can not be defended.
Your centering that event on your "knowledge".
Your knowledge tells you it can not happen.
And yet many were emersed in the Holy Spirit outside of the new covenant.

I don't need acts 10 to fit a doctrine.
It says what it does.
When repeated it is too dificult to accept

""nowhere does the context even suggest they were not saved and received the empowering of the Holy Spirit before conversion. ""

That means they ,according to your logic, were saved but not baptised before peter started speaking.
You claim vs 37 "that word that you know" means they were saved but not baptised.

And yet they are the first gentile converts which the jews were astonished AFTER they spoke in tongues.
IOW you have no case, which is WHY you need that verse "while peter spoke" eliminated.
