Is the bottomless pit a real place, or is it a reference to Satan on a leash.
Dan 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
Dan 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
The antichrist, man of sin, is controlled by Satan to deceive all people who do not love God.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion(a delusion that cannot snap out of, deceived by a devil), that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
All people who do not love God, and do not keep the testimony of Jesus, shall worship the dragon who is Satan, and worship the beast, which Satan possessed the beast to deceive the world.
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
The beast shall ascend out of the bottomless pit.
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.
1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
But Satan is the prince of the power of the air, so how does he ascend out of the bottomless pit, for he is not in a bottomless pit, but he deceives people on this earth, and is the god of this world among the heathen.
How does the beast ascend out of the bottomless pit, when Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and walks about, seeking whom he may devour.
So is the bottomless pit a real place, or is it a reference to Satan being on a leash.
Satan is on a leash right now, and can only influence so much in the world, and cannot influence with all his deception.
2Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.
God is holding Satan back from influencing the world with all of his power, and deception, but God will one day allow the world a certain amount of time to have their way, and cause all people that do not love Him to follow the beast, which the world will rebel against God like the angels that followed Lucifer rebelled against God, and then He will end this sin business on earth.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Satan is on a leash right now and can only influence so much, which is referred to him being in the bottomless pit.
When the falling away first happens, which is the condition of the world in response to the Gospel which they hindered the saints from preaching it, saying it is not the truth, then the transgressors are come to the full, then the beast shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, which he is off his leash, and can influence with all his power, and deception towards the wicked, and will deceive all people who do not love God.
When God puts the man of sin and the world down, then Satan is put back in the bottomless pit, back on his leash, but this time he cannot influence the world at all during the millennial reign of Christ.
I do not believe the bottomless pit is a real place, but a reference to Satan being on a leash, for Satan is on a leash right now, and can only influence the world so much, so it is referred to him being in the bottomless pit, and then God allows him to deceive all people who do not love Him being able to use all his power, and deception to do it, which is referred to as the beast ascending out of the bottomless pit, and then after God puts down the world Satan is back on a leash, and cannot influence the world at all, which is referred to as being in the bottomless pit.
I do not believe that the bottomless pit is a real place, but a reference to Satan being on a leash, for if Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and walks about on earth seeking whom he may devour, then how can he be in a bottomless pit, and how does he ascend from the bottomless pit if he is deceiving the world, and the god of this world.
Satan is not in a bottomless pit, but is roaming free, but he ascends from the bottomless pit, but how can that be.
It the bottomless pit a real place, or a reference.
And as long as mankind is engaging in sins then Satan is deceiving them to do wrong, so how can he be in a bottomless pit.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
If Satan is in a bottomless pit to have to ascend out of it, then we are in the bottomless pit, for Satan is the prince of the power of the air, which is above us, but we are not in a bottomless pit, so the bottomless pit is a reference of Satan on a leash, which he is on a leash right now, and can only influence so much, and then he will be off his leash concerning the wicked, and will deceive them, ascending out of the bottomless pit, and then during the millennial reign he will be back on a leash, back in the bottomless pit, and cannot influence the world at all during that time.
And then he shall be let loosed from the bottomless pit, be off his leash, and will deceive the people that Jesus and the saints rule over, and they go against the saints, and God rains fire down on them, and devours them.
If Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and walks about seeking whom he may devour, and the god of this world, then how does he ascend from a bottomless pit.
