That wasn't the Father's voice you heard! If the wrath of God wasn't poured out on Jesus, then the wrath of God would still rest on you and all believers. It is because Jesus experienced God's wrath on behalf of every believer, satisfying it completely, that God's wrath no longer rests upon us and that we have been reconciled to God.

"But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."

God used man to fulfill His requirement for sin which says, "the wages is death," our sins, not His.
The Bible says the wages of sin is the death of the sinner,

every man shall be put to death for his own sin. Deu.24:16

Jesus preached repentance, because God forgives sinners who repent,

Repent Mt.3:2

except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Lk.13:3

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Pro.28:13

Jesus was wounded, bruised, pierced by the ungodly, not by his Father.

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet Psa.22:16

Jesus endured unjust suffering for us and rose from the dead so we would believe in God and repent.

For me it was during a time of prayer alone at home. I was attending a nondenominational church at the time, but the doctrine of that church was Baptist, as the Pastor was indoctrinated at a Baptist college.

That church taught that God poured his wrath out on Jesus at the cross. I asked God if that was true. I heard no voice, but a thought came to me that wasn't my own which said, "No, mankind did." That really shook me. In short, I began to reread the Bible from that perspective and it makes far more sense to me now.

Thanks for the thread kinda.

your Pastor at the Baptist church was right

you have not heard from God. what you state is not in scripture

since you are not actually responding to what people are saying, I'm going to leave off posting to you

you might consider where that voice came from and talk to someone about it

I have wondered in the usages of the words mountains and valleys used together in various parables .Mountains could represent the kingdoms or denominations of this world. and those as ambassadors sent took the gospel to the valleys as another kind of witness. Sort of like heaven (mountain) earth (valley).

The valleys would seem to represent Judah, the location of Bethlehem, Hebron and Jerusalem . The fertile land of green pastures. Jesus from the tribe of Judah came as Melchezedek our High Priest to establish the new order of priesthood . . .no longer after the flesh of a Levi represented by kingdoms . Now men and woman from all nations as valleys.

A call to bring together those used in a church setting as those who refer denomination titles and working in that setting as well as those who call themselves non-denomination . Which is a denomination in its self that hopes to get recognized as not part of a mainline.

We know where two or three are gathered under His name he is there. No such thing as non-denominational .We walk by faith .The kingdom does not come by observation. (what the eyes see) It would seem division was created to help us not kill each other off before we could have some understanding to walk in the Kingdom of the green valley as the peace of God that surpasses out understanding..

I think many like myself heard the gospel as part of that kind of setting. Paul began being nourished in a setting a sect or heresy. Called. . . The Nazarene sect or "the Way" provided protection from the world . He became a missionary to many different Christians sects or called churches like in Revelations ( He who has ears to hear what the Spirit is saying) to us to help aid in conforming to the image of Christ.

Not sure what happened to that denomination called the Nazarene?

Mark 13:13-15 King James Version (KJV) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

The reformation revealed the abomination of desolations it continues to deceive , A call to unity.

It's blunt I suppose to say it but we were saved by the blood of the Cross by the Lord almost two thousand years ago. Now some see that and believe in it and others don't see it at all so thy speak of the time in their life where they believe they were saved.

I think the sect called Nazarene did not see the apostles writings as Scripture, especially Paul's but did believe in Jesus being the Messiah. The difference was in that they believed that the gentiles were to be circumsized and follow the Law(google).

No one was automatically saved when Christ died on the Cross and shed His blood for our redemption. See Acts 2 and the command to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. There must have been over 3,000 Jews in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost, but not all were saved. As later events showed Christians began to be persecuted almost immediately thereafter (Acts 7,8).

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully....when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God....because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps 1Pet.1:20-21

I've comsidered what "suffering wrongfully" means.

Hands up if you are a publican. What is a publican anyway? Ive worked in public libraries, but people who went there never said we just going to the pub. But is open to the public. Just who are the public?

The kinds of people who frequent public libraries (like me) cant afford books. If i had to pay for the full price of every book I ever read, my bill would be in the tens of thousands.

Thanks God for public libraries. They cater to all, but it doesnt matter if you a preschooler, just got out of prison, homeless, havent taken a bath, never went to school (yep, even truants hang out at the library) unemployed (actually, the unemployed are the biggest patrons) you can read in the library, only one rule

Quiet!

Ssh..and i let you in on a secret, if you do train as a librarian, you can work there and get paid at the same time. Bonus!

Whenever I sit down in a library, I fall asleep.
Cant really sit down if you work in one. A million things to do. If I see anyone asleep they may get tagged with a post-it saying something.

I hate to break it to you guys, but God never intended for any of His children to be like what y'all are describing. God/Jesus/Holy Spirit are ONE...........and His Church is to be ONE BODY. Not splintered outcasts seeking their own path. Everything Christ taught was about us being ONE BODY.........Paul as well.

If folks find themselves out of sync with the One Body, they need to step back and take stock of themselves, and the choices they are making. Not saying someone has to join some man created Denomination, but all believers are to be part of the One Body.

It's sad to hear folks speaking the way some of this sounds............may be just me, but it is truly sad. If a person is a blood bought, born again child of the Living God, and Jesus is Lord and Savior of their lives, and the Holy Spirit lives in their hearts............they MAY be outcasts from the world, but they are not outcasts from the One Body.

Far too many Scriptures to reveal this to post. Just read your Bibles............
Yep, One Body - The Body of Christ - rooted and grounded "in Christ" alone. I'm good with that! He is the Head, we are His Body. Many members yet, one body.......(y)

Yes. He probably realized that he should have said *the savvy thread* rather than the *uneducated thread*. He's probably sitting in a public library wondering what to do (unlike some who are slumbering).

Hi thanks for the reply.

I would agree. But that disagreement seemed have come from not understanding the fundamentals of faith A exclusive faith coming from another source as it is written, or all things written in the law and prophets . The two witnesses that prove God has spoken.

Circumcision was a old testament ceremonial law as a shadow fulfilled in Christ . . . it represented our bloody husband Christ, (Exodus4) the first born of God.... demonstrated at Calvary .

Jesus as the Son of man, his blood as a metaphor was used in that one time demonstration of the lamb of God. . slain from before the foundation of the world. Joel the prophet calls it the pouring out of His unseen Spirit on all of mankind elected from every nation, men and woman as part of the restored government . Marking the beginning of the last days... ending on last day.

It would appear Paul previously of the Pharisees sect under a law of the fathers as oral traditions of men. They are pictured as having no faith that could come by hearing God. They proved that they had no faith from God by killing the misperceived (no faith ) competition .And like Cain showed their religious believe by what they performed .Out of sight out of mind. . . . plowed under the field. . His blood to represent the gospel cries out even today .

"law of the fathers" is a false zealously for hearing God being directed towards the things of men as oral traditions. . The counterfeiter, upside downer's goal is to lead us away from the unseen.

I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women Acts 22:3-4

Those identified in Isaiah 28 are like Paul's previously sect the Pharisees they rejected sola scriptura the reforming authority in any generation making all things written in the law and the prophets without effect.

To Paul as Saul previously it as it is written (sola scriptura) was blah blah blah ,precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little. . . . . . a bunch of Bible thumpers that have nothing better to do on their Sabbath day off.

Off with their bible thumping heads. . .out of sigh out of mind. That would seem to be the mind set.

But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.Isaiah 28

Paul suited up in the armor as his defense (sola Scriptura) it drove the law of the fathers a way They worshipped the fathers, seen as if God our father in heaven. And not as Paul the God who rules over the fathers. The father of lies as the designated driver drove the get away turn things upside down vehicle. Paul with the gospel (sola scriptura) turned it right side up, heaven above . . . not hell inspired below.

Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the "God of my fathers", believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:Acts24:13-14

Humans are bones covered with muscle and skin. A human has a spirit in them that says to his hand "put the bread in my mouth" and the hand is a faithful servant and does not throw it over his head. The spirits of some humans see the Cross and say to their bones and muscle's "leap with joy and thanks giving and rest",,,and the spirits in others say to their body "get up,dress, I need to have you do a thing to save me". Some believe in salvation you see and others deny it.

A publican was a tax collector in Jesus' day. The Jews despised them because they collected for Rome which the Jews did not acknowledge.
