And what does you answer have do with the literal existence of the Abyss and Satan being cast in there for a literal 1000 years, which is what we have been discussing?
My answer makes your belief that Satan needs to be chained in a hole in gtound to keep him from deceiving the world, a slap in face to Jesus's sacrifice.

It was beneficial thanks for replying, I can agree with it maybe like what you said just a analogy, some good comparisons by the way, :)

I know the Bible says under the earth, though I’m not completely sure it’s actually under the surface or actually under the whole earth like in space under it. guess I need ponder on that some more.
I'm glad that my example was helpful.

That the Abyss is under the earth can be deduced from other scriptures. For example:

"Then the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth, and it was given the key to the pit of the Abyss. The star/angel opened the pit of the Abyss, and smoke rose out of it like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.

So in the scripture above, it is said that a star, which figurative representing an angel, was given the key to the Abyss, which he opens. Since it is stated that the angel is falling from heaven to the earth, then we can deduce that the entrance to the Abyss is on the surface of the earth and not in heaven. That the entrance to the Abyss is on the surface of the earth can also be deduced because it states that smoke rises out of it, darkening the air. We also have the following scriptures:

"When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them."

"The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction."

"And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

So in the first two scriptures we have the beast "coming up out of the Abyss" which would demonstrate that the beast would have to be down in the Abyss in order to come in an upward direction.

The last scripture has an angel coming down out of heaven, which would demonstrate that he is coming down to the earth where he throws and imprisons Satan in the Abyss.

Through these scriptures, we can see that the Abyss is a place under the earth, which currently holds the beast and other demonic beings.

My answer makes your belief that Satan needs to be chained in a hole in ground to keep him from deceiving the world, a slap in face to Jesus's sacrifice.
This is not some individual's belief but DIVINE REVELATION within THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH GOD GAVE TO HIM.

So it is a slap in the face of God to deny that this is exactly what God has revealed, no matter how difficult it may be for you to grasp this. And if you can't believe this, you should not claim to believe the Gospel either.

REVELATION 20 (THIS IS HOLY WRIT)
1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

My answer makes your belief that Satan needs to be chained in a hole in gtound to keep him from deceiving the world, a slap in face to Jesus's sacrifice.
Satan will indeed be put into the Abyss to keep him from deceiving the nations and that because of the fact that this is exactly what the scripture states. In addition, have you never read the following:

"The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him."

When Jesus was crucified, for those who believe in Him, He fulfilled the law on behalf of every believer, took upon himself God's wrath which every believer deserves and paid the penalty for our sins. However, that doesn't mean that Satan is not bound from deceiving the rest of the inhabitants of the earth. Point being is that, Jesus sacrifice is not stopping Satan from deceiving the world.

But back to the point, Satan will be thrown into the literal Abyss and imprisoned there during the Lord's thousand year reign on the earth. At the end of that thousand years, he will be released for one last rebellion, where at which time he will be thrown into the lake of fire.

Regarding Satan needing to be "chained in a hole in gtound to keep him from deceiving the world" read the following. You're arguing with the word of God, not me.

"And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended

What you are doing is misinterpreting the plain meaning of the information above. It's the real Abyss and Satan will be restricted in it during the literal thousand year reign of Chirst on this earth.

If you have any doubts about what I am saying, then just reread the scripture above in its plain literal meaning.

No...he was ridiculing what I said as evidenced by the next few posts on it...like I had made it up...it was sarcastic....
really . I was ridcusiing. What the numbers for the lottery?

I would offer what I think the unseen gospel reveals in that parable.

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. Luke 11:28 -30

Evil generation = natural unconverted mankind . You could say so also shall Jesus be to unbelieving evil generation who seeks after a signs. . as things seen. They have no faith by which they could beleive.

Will it be a sign they heard the gospel and believed in Him not seen. . . the sign of a new heart and new tongue the gospel .Or will they continue to be marked as evil natural man, the generation of Adam and not the generation of Christ the new creatures. .

I would think "heart of the earth" or the "heart of the dust"... Is used as a comparative parable as the last sign and wonder. . . three days in the heart of the earth is the same principle three days in belly of the whale.. . . a living hell by reason of suffering above ground .A living sacrifice. Yes rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

In the earth, heart of the spiritless earth

You could say the wrath of God being revealed from heaven. Men with hard hearts suffering the first death. . . hearts made from the granite (dust)

.In the earth subject to death the temporal . In the heavens subject to the eternal , not seen

Like with Jonas and Jesus and the three demonstration as a work of suffering. . . being strengthened to finish the work. the Spirit of God to represent softening the stone heart of mankind evil continually as dead it is trespasses and sin

Not under the earth like no breathable air.

Jonah 2 King James Version (KJV) Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice

Matthew 26:37-39 King James Version (KJV) And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt

This is not some individual's belief but DIVINE REVELATION within THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH GOD GAVE TO HIM.
People can study the scriptures all their lives without ever knowing the Lord. The scribes and Pharisees who rejected Jesus did that. They were the supposed experts on the scriptures. It must have been like living in a world gone mad for our Savior and his disciples.

no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Mt:11.27

So it is a slap in the face of God to deny that this is exactly what God has revealed, no matter how difficult it may be for you to grasp this. And if you can't believe this, you should not claim to believe the Gospel either.
It's not difficult for me to understand that anyone who truly believes the gospel is no longer deceived by the devil.

But no one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house. Mk.3:27

Strong man = Satan. His goods = deceived people. Jesu takes the deceived away from Satan, or Satan away from the deceived. :)

iSatan will indeed be put into the Abyss to keep him from deceiving the nations and that because of the fact that this is exactly what the scripture states.
My friend, the New Testament was written two thousand years ago for Jews and gentiles (the nations). You seem to think "the nations" are people other than us.

If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples and you will know the truth Jn.8:31-32

Jesus said the gospel would be preached to the whole world, the nations, us.

In addition, have you never read the following:

"The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him."
Yes, I've read it and explained to you nefore that wicked spirits being "hurled to the earth" shows us the truth that apart from God, they have no more preeminence above men or animals. And this truth comes from Christs victory, as the text from which you cited it says.

When Jesus was crucified, for those who believe in Him, He fulfilled the law on behalf of every believer, took upon himself God's wrath
Jesus fulfilled the law, but the belief that he suffered God's wrath is the most filthy lie that ever been told. I've already shown you plainly that our dear Savior suffered unjustly at the hands of people who hated God.

which every believer deserves
No, every "believer" no longer deserves God's wrath. Unbelievers do,

the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience Col.3:6

and paid the penalty for our sins.
No, the judgment on Jesus was passed by men, not God. Men found Jesus worthy of death, not God. Men condemned Jesus, not God. Men mocked Jesus, as though God had forsaken him. Vile, vicious, sickening, as nothing could be farther from the truth.

However, that doesn't mean that Satan is not bound from deceiving the rest of the inhabitants of the earth. Point being is that, Jesus sacrifice is not stopping Satan from deceiving the world.
It does for anyone who believes in him.

I don't need commentary which amounts to people no longer being deceived whether they believe in Jesus or not. Jesus never taught that a time will come when the whole world will no longer be deceived apart from faith and anyone who denie this is preaching another gospel.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond and what you mentioned sounds logical, it was helpful as well thank you.

This is what happens when you make everything into a parable. So now "hell" is a parable for every human experience and suffering.

Amazing how self-delusion is produced through misrepresenting what is in the Bible.

It would seem you are not very fond of parables ? What happened? Bad experience?

Some insist there is one level of understanding..... or unless the verse says this a parable.

The law of interpretation is; Without parables Christ spoke not to everyone purposely hiding the faith (unseen) spiritual from natural man . Some think they are fables and miss the gospel message, the hidden understanding.

That understanding comes from comparing the spiritual unseen to the same spiritual unseen called. . . . faith to faith in Roman 1 ... the power of the gospel .

I have not found a prescription that says; "compare the literal understanding to the literal" or "walk by sight" after the things seen .

I have heard the teaching if first sense makes common sense don't dig and look for the pearls in the parables.... but again not from reading the word of God. I have not found that kind of a prescription for studying, rightly dividing ..

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man received not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 2 Corinthians 2:13-14

Spiritually discerned. Faith to faith (eternal) Not literal discerned that seen to the seen (temporal) or what is on the surface

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.Roman1:17

Hell is not a parable, it is a suffering we experience here as part of the curse , a dying creation..... The wrath of God being revealed from heaven . Hell is used in a parable using both Jesus and Jonas working together to give comparative. . . . the 3 day 3 night work .

Both cases a living hell crying out to the father. . being strengthened to finish the "living sacrifice" of suffering... The last sign as a wonder that was fulfilled.

And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.Genesis 4

It is the punishment Christ did bear. . . we rest in Him

I am quite fond of parables in their proper place. But everything is not, and cannot be, parabolic.

Black holes are just evidence of collapsed stars and planets. So entirely plausible that something like a black hole would be present when this earth collapses at the end of time. See revelation 16:18-20
We dont really know how they start because we only can speculate or see them from afar. Scientists may say this or that, but the Bible pretty much describes a perfect example of one. We cant say for sure that nothing comes out of them. But they are around.

When its says locusts are released from the bottomless pit, well how big are locusts, they are tiny insects. But in mass numbers, they can cause great devastion. And they can darken the whole sky.

I just find it interesting. Im not pitting science against the Bible. Theres heaps of stuff scientists just cant explain, maybe cos they missing the big picture and trying to find alternate ways to explain things without really seeing God behind it all, after all He is in charge of the Universe and everything in it.

Good day Lanolin!

"And there were flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and peals of thunder, and a great earthquake the likes of which had not occurred since men were upon the earth—so mighty was the great quake."

Seeing that the 7th bowl will be poured out just before Jesus returns to the earth to end the age and that He must reign on this present earth for a thousand years, wouldn't you rather be inclined to believe that there will be literal lightning, rumblings, thunder and the greatest earthquake to ever hit the earth, opposed to a black hole? The great earthquake will be world-wide which can be deduced from the context which states that the "cities of the nations collapse," as well as the mountains and islands not being found, which I believe could be due to the liquification factor of such a large earthquake. I believe that this will be the fulfillment of when "God rises to shake the earth." In any case, I wouldn't believe it to be a black hole and that because Jesus must rule on this earth for a thousand years after the 7th bowl is poured out. It is not until the end of the thousand years that this present earth will pass away.

When its says locusts are released from the bottomless pit, well how big are locusts, they are tiny insects. But in mass numbers, they can cause great devastation. And they can darken the whole sky.
I don't believe that these will be your garden variety locusts, but demonic beings that resemble locusts. They are described as having:

* Faces like human faces

* Hair like women's hair

* Teeth like lions teeth

* Breastplates of iron

* Like horses prepared for battle

* Tails and stingers like scorpions with which to torment for 5 months

The main thing for us to understand, is that it is not until that angel opens the Abyss that they come out. I personally don't know of any natural locusts that come up out of the Abyss. There's nothing green for them to eat down there and it is literally hot as Hell! Oh wait, it is Hell, or part of Hell.

Another reason that would demonstrate that they are not your common variety of locusts is that, it is said that they have a king over them which is the angel of the Abyss. I also don't believe that these locusts demons will be tiny insects because for one, they come out of the Abyss and two, because their wings are described as many horses and chariots rushing into battle. A large number of four to six inch winged insects would not be able to make that low of a sound, but a higher pitched sound. This, plus their description of having teeth like lions teeth, hair like women's hair and faces like human faces, would lead me to believe that these things will be larger than a typical locust. The context also shows that they are "told" not to harm the grass, plants or trees, but only those who will not have the seal of God in their foreheads, which would indicate intelligence, not to mention the fact that their king is the beast who comes up out of the Abyss.

I just find it interesting. Im not pitting science against the Bible. Theres heaps of stuff scientists just cant explain, maybe cos they missing the big picture and trying to find alternate ways to explain things without really seeing God behind it all, after all He is in charge of the Universe and everything in it.
I agree! I like watching the space documentaries, Nat Geo and others. But I am continually reminded that everything that they are presenting is always evolution based, leaving God out as Creator. Just this morning I was watching "NASA Unexplained Files" and they were attempting to credit an asteroid as striking the earth for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, once again taking God out of the equation.

The unseen understanding in that parable as the signified language of Revelation addressed in the opening statement of chapter 1.
It is simply saying the father of lies is coming in full glory with battle array .Having the face of man and the hair of woman is the representative glory in describing our God .

Here the father of lies is coming as the counterfeit god riding on his high horse called False Pride....spirits don't need horses to travel..

His iron armor was earthly inspired by the devil . Continuing to describe the father of lies. His lies as false prophecy they are shown as the poison of a scorpion or serpents that poison will not harm those it apposes they refuse to above that as it is written

Revelation 9:6-8 King James Version (KJV)And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

You're obviously not reading the details of the scripture. It is the description of those locusts/demons who come out of the Abyss that are being described with faces representing human faces, hair like women's hair and teeth like lions teeth and having tails and stings like scorpions. By your post above, you would be inferring that God is the one who is coming up out of the Abyss, when they are clearly demonic beings that God is going to use to carry out this plague of wrath.

Here the father of lies is coming as the counterfeit god riding on his high horse called False Pride....spirits don't need horses to travel..
The rider on the white horse is the result of the first seal being opened. These demonic beings looking in part like locusts, takes place at the 5th trumpet, which are two separate plagues of wrath. The reference to him riding on a white horse is figurative, not literal. Since the rider on the white horse represents the emergence of the man of lawlessness, then it is physical, not spiritual.

The scripture above is correct, showing that these locust/demons come up out of the Abyss.

Wow! Another doozy because EVERYTHING IN THE BIBLE MEANS SOMETHING ELSE. Garee, where did you acquire these totally bizarre ideas?

Tell me about it! It always reminds me why I put him on ignore in the first place. He certainly shouldn't be teaching these things.

Oye Vey!

If you "believe" that "black holes" are what the "scientists" say they are, you had better conduct some independent research. Here are a couple of far more viable candidates than that naïve rubbish teevee science you have been watching.
