Greetings lightbearer,

Glad to see you back. Thank you for your love of truth and justice. It is sad that so many here cannot see themselves and their behavior. I have been trying to avoid their attitudes reference my pasture comment.

Sadly, many of these rise to the level of persecution. Gods people are not persecutors, but we were given many comforting words for when we are;

Mat 5:10-11 NIV Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (11) "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Isn't it strange and sadly interesting how the persecution is usually around "righteousness"

So the verse above Mat 5:10 would read:
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of the doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of God, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I often think that much of this hostility towards us comes from the Hostility Paul declared when he said;

Gal 1:9-10 NIV As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! (10) Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

But those who take license to attack as unkind brutes cannot see the above as license if they read the below;

Eph 4:31-32 NIV Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. (32) Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

You are a precious brother, and our Redeemer has given you His love for Justice and for what is true! How amazing is that!?

Keep in mind that there is an end to what we can do at times;

Pro 19:19 NIV A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty; if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.

Pro 22:24-25 NIV Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered, (25) or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.

I gave a lift to my daughter one morning recently. She had had a hard night, not being able to sleep.
I was normal for the morning, ready for the day, seeing the weather was great, warm, blue sky, not too
hot. I made this observation and was told I should not be so hyper and super happy.

We talked this through a bit. I was ready for the day, awake and looking forward to the day, seeing
the blessing it was. This was perfectly normal, but the response was I was wrong and exagurated, and
I should see the day as a burden, a terrible thing, too much, and awful.

I share this because it reminds me of some interactions here. Empathy is a good thing, projectings ones
feelings, but not realising they could be wrong, and distorted and simply sinful is a big mistake.
Our benchmark in Christ is simple.

6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD
Psalm 150

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Phil 4

This is our lifes blood. Each day, each waking moment is a blessing, a blessing of life and praise.
I am now older than my father, and his father, and his father before him.

So much has been given, so much wealth and opportunity, so much overflowing grace and glory.
My heart is full of humbleness and wonder, that our King should shower on me such wonders and
treasure, when so many have so little and have such hardships in their hearts and their circumstances.

It is glorious to realise this is the Lords desire, to bring us each day such love and care.
Thank you Jesus, thank you for your cross, for your love, for your hope, for your transformation.
Amen.

Greetings GP,

Very well put!

It is a simple thing isn't it!

Sadly, there is disunity.

It helps to remember that where there is anger, coarseness, rudeness, impatience and the like this is where error lies. Heated debate and even pressing it is good, but the other tactics reveal something else.

I appreciate you working on your delivery GP. It shows.

You are right. Your perceived persecution comes because of Righteousness. It is NOT actual persecution but correction that you are getting.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Righteousness doesn't come by the law. Righteousness comes through Christ alone.

The Law doesn't have any power to make you sinless or righteous.

Scripture tells us, who have come to Christ, to stay in Christ and NOT go back to the law.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

I also noticed that most legalists and judaizers like to state that sin is transgression of the law. But what they leave out is that sin is also whatever is not of faith.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Can the law cause a person to have faith by working at it? No. Scripture says the law is not of faith.

Galatians 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

I could go on and on with scripture on how Christians are not under the law and Christ has delivered us from the law. But for some reason, legalists and judaizers can't understand. They think they are righteous because they work at the law. But when they are caught in their obvious error they just state 'we aren't saved by the law. We aren't made righteous by the law'. Yeah, I already know that.

This post seems just labelling an individual "judeaizer"

Labellers think it is helpful to reject others, while missing Jesus is about loving interactions, and encouragement
to walk in His ways. All labelling is, is rejecting others, while not engaging, which is hurtful to believers from
another believer, suggests something else.

What I appreciate is engagement and honesty from the heart, which is Jesus, dying on the cross because He loved
us. There is no fear in being honest because we know we are safe in God through repentance and faith, and by
being honest we can start to move on to something better.

There will always be a Judas, a betrayer, someone who hurts at the deepest level, and in this Jesus says forgive
them, carry their sin, their punishment and know love overcomes.

The sheep who are His, listen to Him and follow Him alone.
It is ironic that a believer used this very truth as a weapon, as if it would do harm. Little did they know, by not
following Jesus they declared their own place.

4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
John 10

Jesus brings us great promises, and realities, though we are slow sometimes to hear Him.
So dear brothers and sisters, just know your place in Him and rejoice, because it is His voice alone that matters.

Amen

sure do.

this is true.

but, also true, if you put yourself under the Law of Moses, then you have to have a Levite Priest come and pronounce your house clean if you have mold in the basement.

I have a basement. know any I can call if I find any mold??

I mean, the Law of Moses is as whole in of itstself. you can't pick and choose which ones to keep or not if you put yourself under it

Deplatforming individuals

In discussions if you dislike the position someone is taking you can use a label to deplatform them.
It is saying "They are just rubbish, do not even bother to listen to them"

In part there is a truth to this, until you find the deplatformer only does this, continually.
It then just becomes a game, which is a joke, especially over deeply serious issues.

We can fight this behaviour by just learning descriptive language to point out unhelpful behaviour.
God bless you.

You did it again by implying I have a quilt complex. To couple that you out right call deighann and simplegardaner liars, and slanderers that give God and His children a bad name.
1. I did not imply. I ASKED. (I pray you know the difference) so there you are continuing to make accusations which are not true (you understand that is called bearing false witness do you not?

2. When they continually make claims that people believe something or say things they have never implied or said, that is called bearing false witness, Or lying, or committing slander.

And yes, people who prpmote obedience, yet are disobedient themselves give God a bad name, Don;t you know thats what the jews did? And yes, it tarnished the name of YHWH!! (We have a term for it, Its called being a hypocrite, or do as I say, not as I do)

This point is so odd. I have never met anyone on this forum who argues we should become Jews to
be christians, and I truly mean never. Yet someone thinks by saying this it is a co-herent point to any
degree. More like a member at a shooting range, looking down the barrel and blowing off their own head

Morality is about loving others, empathy, care, a sensitive conscience and heart.
Are we as believers discussing this is an evil thing? Or is something else being said here that I am
missing?

It strikes me that those with a guilty conscience will use anything to deny dealing with it is part of Gods
calling on our lives in Christ.

A warning. Interacting with certain members is arguing with a total legalist.
If a point can be argued that one is miss-representing another, while being true in some lights, not in others,
they will call this sin, bearing false witness and give no grace, love, mercy or good intent by the other party.

Not only so, they will pursue this "sin" as if it is worthy of hell and condemnation before God, and worthy
of being thrown into hell. Things will easily escalate, if the response is followed into non-christian behaviour
and worthy of being excluded from forums, churches or any christian community.

This strategy is well learnt, and many have fallen victim to it. But it is what it is, a strategy with no fuel.
Give it fuel, and they will leap on it like it is the worst behaviour since the beginning of time.

The pharisees did the same to Jesus, intending to kill him. Thankfully there is no such thing here, except
exclusion, which they will compromise with. So know your enemy and their intent, while loving them in
their sin and impure heart. They cannot do otherwise, because their whole being drives them onward.
God bless you

You still refuse to see your own sin. That is what makes it worse. It would be one thing if you admitted you messed up a few times. But you never do. (At least when it comes to your accusations and being confronted)

Once again, Can you show posts and PROVE the accusations you made a few days ago?

If not. You just continue to prove your the one with the issue, one who LOVES to throw out accusations. But has no capability to BACK HIS accusations. Because they are MADe UP.

I truly believe Paul wrote these words for you in the state you are in right now;

1Co 3:1-3 NIV Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. (2) I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. (3) You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?

Read on to see if you might emerge from this state.
I will be praying for you and the others like you.
