Do you believe that these robes in these verses are cotton/polyester blend?

Revelation 6
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Revelation 7
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

I betcha do doncha? ;)

And, if you don't?

Why should unmixed materials matter so much back in the days of Moses, and matter in the Kingdom to come. And not matter during these days?

Love covers a multitude of sin/s. INCLUDING the sin/s of not adhering to the "conditions" of the "Mosaic Agreement."

But, it don't cover EVERY "sin!"

Amazing verse, Luke 16:16!

That same phrase, the law and the prophets, is what Jesus says not a single letter will pass away from.

But here he says the law and the prophets were up until John.

I've talked in the past about reading the law for wisdom. But perhaps a more cautious approach is in order. maybe something like studying all of God's word as part of the process of gaining wisdom.
The law of Moses had an expiratiom date built into it. It was only vaild until Jesus arrived, John the Baptiste ushering in His ministry.
Hi NayborBear,

you asked
"Are you asking does "love" cover one's wearing cotton/polyester blends?"

no, I am not asking that.
I am asking this: Are you
saying that this commandment

Deuteronomy 22: 11. You shall not wear a mixed stuff, wool and linen together.

Is part of the ceremonial law, or the civil law, not the moral law.

Another way to put it would be: is that commandment part of the moral law, in your view?

yes, the Spirit guides us in our daily lives! Amen to that! and yes, the spirit gives us understanding of the scriptures. Amen to that again!

but the spirit doesn't usually explain what other people have written on an internet forum such as this.

so I ask, in your view, is this commandment part of the moral law?

And peace be with you!
After a quick peruse so don't take it as anything more,
I am going with it is/maybe civil law. It is placed after the rebellious son and property laws and it is listed under persons before women and men. Jesus did not specifically make mention of this law and so it would, I think, fall where all of the rest of the law of Moses did and those are on the 2 commandments which I am sure you know Love God with all that you are, and love your neighbor as yourself, and the spirit will lead you so what it means to you is something no one else can tell you..

The reason for the not mixing of linen and wool is very simple as linen is used of Divine righteousness (Rev 19) and not to be mixed with animal or fleshly labour. In my opinion, if I were you, I would never mix the two. To have a conviction of such as you do this, for what ever reason only the spirit knows, there is something. I myself would not question it much, but that is just me. I will not judge, just an opinion something of a study but I love my Bible. Oh, and I am not even going over it to see how it will be ripped up cause I don't care to change my beliefs because of a couple quick clips from man.

Welcome to Christian Chat, Evgen! Do you keep the law of Moses?
Hi Marcelo,
Let's start from definitions. The Law of Moses in the Law of GOD given through Moses, right? The Ultimate Sacrifice of Christ made changes to the form of following the Law, but not the Principles thereof. Thus Animal Sacrifices were forever discontinued, as Jesus' Sacrifice was substitutional, but our Giving to GOD is to stay on.
That's to make a long story short. Welcome to our site "Christian Mind" on worthyofpraise.org and download the free PDF copy of "Q & A" for more.
As for my following the Law, I try to. It's "the way of the prodigal son." Luke 15:20. GOD doesn't command anything impossible to follow.
GOD bless you.

one thing is clear

We are ALL guys who believe righteousness is found in the law of CHrist, NOT in the law of moses..

I think we are all coming to try to show you in different ways why this is so. And you give us all the same answer (non at all)
Righteousness is found in the Faith of Christ. The Word, God's Law in the heart, mind, and mouth through Christ.
Yep

And non of that is found in the law of moses. Which was given to accuse and convict us and prove to us we are sinners, And show us the way to redemption (blood)
The law of Moses which is God's law was given for many reasons. Mainly this one.
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John 5:39
Jesus the way, the truth and the Life.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deut 30:19

What was set before them that day?

If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word (this commandment, thou shall hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.) is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
(Deu 30:11-16 KJV)

These text are paraphrased in Romans 10.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
(Rom 10:6-8 KJV)

sure their is a " jewish Sabbath. " it was only commanded for them to keep it, gentiles were and are never under the Law.

and, you know, God did invent seven day week with one day of rest ( Christians keep the Lord's Day, as in John " in the Sprit on the Lord's Day") and God placed the Sabbath in the covenant at Sinai. it was His idea, so when God said " my Sabbaths", they were His, and He gave instrctions to the jews ( only) to keep them
The Lord's Day is the Sabbath for He is Lord of the Sabbath. BTW It is God's Sabbath He created it not the Jews.

nope.
when John stated that he was " in the Sprit on the Lord's Day", he did NOT say Sabbath, it is a different greek word,

so, once again, gentiles were under the Law, the Law , including the Sabbath, was a covenant made with God and Israel at Sinai.

the Law was not a general command to everyone, it was a specific covenant made with Israel , to be kept when they reached the promised land.

Ezekiel 13
3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.
6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
18 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad;
and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Am SO happy and blessed, I have been "delivered" OUT of the hands of one's such as you, and your ilk.
Something to be said concerning not being able to see the forest for the trees.

Does the "world" justify it's deeds that are contrary to the Laws of God?

Do they simply ignore or even disparage the the Laws of God?

How do we know, when we hear men, intent on putting the Laws of God away, that they are not of the world?

Does not the Holy Spirit of God lead men to Love Gods will? How do we reconcile such aggression towards Gods Laws and those who Love them?

Are your virtues only “taught practices”?
Is everything you do a mixture of good and bad?
Does your “humility” serve to boost your “pride”?
Does your charity to others nourish your own “self-love”?
Do your prayers boost your opinion of your own “sanctity”?
If so, Go back to the start, you are still dwelling in the “fallen nature”, trying to emulate a purified nature. Seek, Knock, Ask for the renewing of your mind!
When your meekness and lowliness begins to resemble that of Jesus,
And your life draws more shunning than praise,
more isolation that company, then your renewal has begun and your walk
in underway. As you exit the world and enter the Kingdom of Heaven all of your desires and perspectives will change. Being hated by the world becomes a sign for good. Think not!; 1 Peter 4

Winner! Amen this shows how the New Testament writers was drawing from the books of Moses, the law and the Prophets are quoted over and over. So easy to find this nowadays, just a few clicks on the computer! So easy to prove what you are saying Lightbearer, is the truth. So easy, there is no excuse for those reading here not to see it except they be blind.

Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

https://www.kalvesmaki.com/LXX/NTChart.htm is just one source that has done the work for us in finding these quotes. Love your neighbor is also found in the Old Testament:

Leviticus 19:18 And thy hand shall not avenge thee; and thou shalt not be angry with the children of thy people; and thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; I am the Lord.

It just shows that legalists can use the same words that Christians use but then understand them entirely differently the same way they do with scripture.

they also seem to not be able to grasp the concept that God made a COVENANT with Israel at Sinai.

covenants are very specific things that both parties involved make specific agreements with each other over very specific behavior.

it is what you said. they do the same things the Pharisees did- instead of accepting Scripture as written, they change and rearrange it to suit their belief system.
