He stated a fact to begin with vs 12 does not negate that fact. Vs 8 - 11 proves this.

Vs 12 just shows that mercy triumphs over judgment

Thats true, Grace triumphs over law. Ecause as paul said in Gal 3. The law judges completely.
Goodness. This is a mix of pure bread and leaven. You can't bring Paul's Galatians 3 into what James says. They were speaking to different groups of people about to different subjects.

Also, we are not afraid of God. We are loved by hom, and we love him.

You need to stop with your silly petty attacks and for once in your life listen to people.

Maybe that's a good place to start...
I think we all agree that we are to love the Father. But how?

How does the believer today love the Living God? Note, I'm not asking how to love one's neighbor. That's a different requirement.

I'm genuinely curious. Let's assume what you say, that the law of Moses no longer needs to be kept. That means absolutely none of it applies, and if not, then there is no such thing as sin anymore for the believer no matter what they do...ignore what John says about making such a statement for now.

How do we love Yah, specifically?

I don't really understand "Mitzvot", but if it is important to you then by all means available do so.

As a rule do you wash your hands after you use the bathroom? Don't answer. And if you do did you train your children to? Don't answer.

If so is this your "Mitzvot"?
I have very little knowledge of Hebrew, but I think each item of the law of Moses is called Mitzvah (plural: Mitzvot). If I were to put together a list of effective Mitzvot the total number of items in it would be ZERO because Paul said we are not under the Law.

Here is another Mitzvah: To show reverence to the Temple (Lev. 19:30). Do you think Christians must show reverence to their church buildings? I presume your answer will be "no", so why not delete this item?

* except on the Mount of Transfirgeration, God the Father ( truth of Trinity in you face, if you choose to see it), God the Father said, in the prescense of Moses ( the Law ) and Elijah ( the Prophets ) , said of the Son " hear HIM!"

this elevates and separates the Words in Red above and APART from the rest of Scripture.
Did God say "hear Him, and disregard everything else?" You red-letter boys are reading too much into scripture. My bible says "all scripture." 2 Tim. 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 11-welcoming.png

Good God

Th law is the law no matter who is talking about it And both were speaking of being condemned and saved.

Stop watering down the law and take it for what it is.

I did nto see your question, because your post started off wrong,, I wanted to get that straight first

We love BECAuSE GOD LOVE US FIRST.

How can we love? because we deserve hell. And have been freed from that CURSe of ThE LAW based on a more perfect high priest.

As scripture says, if god is with me who can be against me)who can be my enemy, how can they hurt me, I am free to love them)

Negative Ghost Rider.

The missing piece of the puzzle wasn't desire. The missing piece of the puzzle was ability.

That's still the missing piece today.

And that is EXACTLY why the law is the ministration of condemnation and death.

And that is EXACTLY why the Lord Jesus Christ freed us from that condemnation and death.

Because we have no ability, no strength, to do it ourselves. Desire we have plenty of.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Therefore WITH HIM you can do everything. oh ye of little faith,

Spirit led creatures are led to not eat bacon?

Galatians 3:2-3
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

I love the book of Galatians.

Don't you?
No, flesh led men are led to eat bacon.

I did answer,

WE LOVE BECAUSE GOD FIRST LOVED US.

I LOVE GOD BECAUSE GOD SAVED ME

I LOVE GOD BECAUSE HE TOOK THE CURSE OF THE LAW< WHICH I DESERVE< AND NAILED IT TO THE CROSS.

I do not know how you love God, but if you think calling him YAH, or trying to give him righteousness done by your own power is love, You do not understand biblical love

I'm just giving you an opportunity to convince us that Christians are to keep the Law of Moses. With a list of effective Mitzvot in hand it will be easier for us to see your point.

Greetings Marcelo, The "us" you refer to twice, may I ask who that is? Sounds exclusive.

Timothy was raised among Jews, do you not think he obeyed God's laws when he was little? We must look at the culture these epistles were written in. 5thumbsup.gif

Galatians 3 was Paul chiding the Galatians about trying to be justified by the law, not keeping aspects of it (see Gal. 3:1).

What did Paul say? Romans 7:6, 7 "But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good."

I see this as still serving the law but in a new, spiritual way. View attachment 202161
Yet paul said we are delivered from the law.. which is what I said

And obey in the spirit? How. By looking to the letter. or looking to the spirit
