Typology is seen throughout the Old Testament.
Paul is vociferous in extirpating the Law of Moses from the Christian Church.
Zero OT rituals are required. Zero. Judiazers are to be corrected or excommunicated.

The point I was making is that being filled with the Spirit is what happens when one receives the gift of the Holy Ghost for the first time.
It is obvious that you need to dig into some serious bible study. Acts and the formation of the Church is a phenomenon unto its own, with a very specific purpose.

"These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered the man’s house. 13And he told us how he had seen the angel stand in his house and say, ‘Send to Joppa and bring Simon who is called Peter; 14he will declare to you a message by which you will be saved, you and all your household.’ 15As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning. 16And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God’s way?” 18When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

I agree that OT rituals are not required. However, there are foreshadows of NT realities.

Peter made it clear that the promise made was for those present, their children, and all afar off, even as many as the Lord our God calls. Surely you don't disagree that God is still drawing people.

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Acts 2:38-39

I was puzzled by comments regarding my supposed belief that water baptism and the infilling of the Holy Ghost had to be done in a specific order. What I neglected to convey accurately in this OP is that people complied with ALL of God's instructions before the blood was applied.

As the biblical record shows the Apostle Peter did command all to repent, be water baptized in Jesus’ name, and receive the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38) The OT requirements for ordination of priests parallel Peter’s instructions as seen in Exodus 29.

What I should have made clear was that the NT record expresses that at times God intervened and poured His Spirit into individuals first. (Acts 2:38, 10:44-48) Afterward all those who had been filled with God’s Spirit submitted to water baptism in the name of Jesus. In addition, there are two times in scripture where individuals were water baptized in Jesus’ name first, and afterward they received the infilling of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 8:12-17, 19:2-6) These examples confirm that all of the components Peter mentioned had to be followed regardless of the order in which they occurred.
