I am going through some things where I am not able to be in my own house. I won’t go into details but my mom has way too much control over my life and I’m 26 years old. I’ve been trying to get out of this situation for a long time. I don’t know what to do. I feel defeated.
 
Praying for doors to open for you & for that stronghold of control over you/your life to be broken in Jesus name!

I don't think you should feel defeated. Your at the point where you should be able to move into a place of your own. Just keep reading, praying and see where God leads you to. Every thing is on his timing

I do have my own place but I have some sticky situations going on that are preventing from being able to be there.

I know the situation you have shared, Gemmy and continue to pray for you. I have wondered if it had been resolved,I guess not. Now a new situation has arisen. May I ask are you a follower of Jesus? He is the only source sometimes in resolving ALL issues. I have seen Him close many doors and open many that I couldn't see! I continue to pray for your guidance in all and your peace and safety for you and your child! In peace and love,blessings!

Thank you Leastamongmany for all your prayers and kind words. I really do appreciate you. An update on me, I broke up with my daughters dad but before he left, he trashed my whole apartment and cut the cords to my air conditioner and washing machine and did a bunch of other terrible stuff. I’m hurting a lot because I feel used and betrayed. I’m not perfect but I can at least say I’ve tried so hard to make things work with him.I’ve not heard from him nor have I contacted him. I just feel very low and I don’t have the money to replace some of the things right now. I do believe in Jesus but my faith is up and down a lot. I’ve had a lot of troubles this year, I try to pray but sometimes I just don’t.
 
I am so sorry,Gemmy! I know it is hard when faced with such destruction from one you shared much with. I am glad to read you trust Jesus,please do NOT beat yourself up over your slackness! His yoke is easy and He stands beside you giving support even when we do not realize it! We are to bear one ANOTHER'S burdens also,where I may not can actually reach you pyhsically,I am helping shoulder your load. God does move when we ask and He never fails us in giving a response. I will be praying for peace in your heart and restoration of the things you need. Sometimes parents don't realize our children are adults and have rights to conduct their own lives. I will also lift up your parents for an understanding and softening. Hold to Him whether in a storm or sunshine,sweetie,He truly loves you! Remember your family in Christ cares also,and we are collectively praying for you! Love LAM.

So sorry you are going through this. If I may offer one piece of advice, please stay away from this man. Even if it means putting up with your mom for awhile

What you describe sounds like borderline violence against you. I don’t care the circumstances, a man doesn’t treat the mother of his child like that. The next step may be physical violence against you or your child.
