I must have missed your naming that teacher. The only reference to such a person by name that I've seen since you started talking about the teacher and his wife was one who named John MacArthur. That wasn't your account. I've looked and I don't see you naming a name. Would you indulge me please and share that name again?
See my Post #62 (Page 4), for that, first paragraph.

(I've only listened to a cpl of his teaching videos [in the past], maybe 2 or 3... and again, I didn't "learn" this viewpoint from him, I only discovered his viewpoint being the same as mine [ON MATTHEW 24 of the Olivet Discourse] when I went searching a long time ago for the purpose of compiling a list of teachers who see the Matthew passage in this same way [that it FOLLOWS our Rapture / ALL takes place within the future trib yrs])

[it was the next post, my Post #63, that spoke of that one couple who ran (still runs) the one website who now speaks against the Bible and God, and says he is a "former Christian"... that he studied scripture so much he enlightened himself  (he is an intelligent person, I'll give him that, lol... just not "wise"! ;) )]

Just a small point, no one is yet in Hell.
No, whole armies are in hell right now. Hell and the children of Satan and Satan also himself will be thrown into the lake of fire at the End, and this has not happened yet, but in a way it's their destiny so they will not escape it. Praise Jesus

Husband says you're a troll too. And he doesn't talk to trolls so you're stuck with me. :)
Your husband is a wicked pagan that believes in trolls and maligns those that praise Jesus. It is said by Jesus no one on Jesus' said can speak evil of Jesus or praise him lightly. I suppose this is why you are a foolish woman whom disobeys the commandments of Jesus' apostle Paul and so you are mouthy before men, your husband must be a very weak man for you to not learn in silence and subjection when men are speaking about the Lord Jesus. I am not really surprised, this is common case in this wicked generation's elder women, may they be barren, praise Jesus.

My husband is 6'4 and 215, he'd crush your little troll head like a June bug rofl. You seem mighty familiar... I think it's time to reel this troll in. Bansville… Reported!

Amo 8:2 (KJV) And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

What’s your take on this verse?

I realize you are asking PennEd… but just thought I would offer what I'd put before, when you had asked it on another thread where we were discussing same:

Compare the same wording in each of these two verses:

Amos 8:2 - https://biblehub.com/text/amos/8-2.htm

Amos 7:8 - https://biblehub.com/text/amos/7-8.htm

...then see the next chapter (after 8:2),
esp Amos 9:11-15 - https://biblehub.com/bsb/amos/9.htm

:)

No doubt you wish death upon those that praise Jesus and call them pagan monsters and that's how I know you are evil, praise Jesus. Reported for a death threat.

If it ends in -ism it's a lie from Satan's stupid children from the 1900s AD, don't believe them because they killed enough people and got sent to hell for their lies and they will take you down with them too. Praise Jesus instead. Praise Jesus he is the way, the truth, and the light
So people who believe in dispensationalism are murderers and headed to hell?

This is the exact kinda guy that rightly gets banned, goes to several review sites and bashes CC and individual Christians, and the admins and ownership on the site.

Stumbled across some of those reviews of this site. Almost every one says something along the lines of "I am this wonderful Christian, I did NOTHING, and they were so mean to me, and then banned me!"

My take is that God did exactly what He said He was going to do, and allowed them to be taken into captivity, and have the walls and the Temple destroyed. His provision and protection was gone during that, dare i say, DISPENSATION! LOL

Surely you are not attempting to use that verse to mean that God was totally done with Israel? You do know God appointed Cyrus to let them go back and rebuild the walls and the Temple don't you? And then He presented His Son, Jesus the Messiah to THE NATION.

So how could that verse mean forever done with them?

1. Church Replacement Theology — the idea of the Gentile church taking priority over the Jews — began by the mid-to-late 2nd century, brought about as the result of increasing anti-Semitism and Gentile pride, as the church became increasingly dominated by Gentile believers (who forgot what Paul said about pride, in Romans 11) and the apostate Jews became increasingly hostile and continued to persecute the Christians.
For additional reference, see Barry Horner’s Future Israel, chapter 2, “The Patristic Period,” p. 39

2. Amillennialism was invented by Augustine in the early 5th century. Augustine first believed the standard view of the time, premillennialism, but he was also influenced by Greek platonic thought — the same thinking that produced gnosticism, the basic idea that physical and material is evil, and spiritual, non-physical is good. Augustine was also morally repulsed by the behavior of some Christians, in a group called the Donatists, who took a rather carnal approach to the idea of the kingdom and enjoyed their love feasts (food, drink, revelry). This was also shortly after Constantine, and the church enjoyed the power, privilege and protection of the Roman Empire. Anti-Semitism was also quite strong, the Jews hated throughout the Roman world, and by that time they were scattered and clearly without power — so the biblical message that the despised and weak Jews would one day be given prominence and the other nations would come to them, appeared totally contrary (and unacceptable) to their observed world reality. So Augustine formulated the idea of the spiritual-only kingdom, relating it to the Church triumphant, the Roman church of his day. His new idea, amillennialism (which he described in “The City of God”), along with most everything else that Augustine taught, was incorporated into the Roman Catholic Church — and became (and still is) standard Catholic teaching.

Well at least Augustine was highly intelligent...... not so sure about John Darby and Morgan Edward??
The author above seems to have little to no understanding of Augustine's work the City of God.

That would seem to violate their concept of the separation of Jews of Gentiles in God's Plan.
Who?

I only know of one person here who says Jews are saved differently than gentiles. The rest of us who hold to dispensational thinking know that there is no jew or greek. All are saved by the one who saves all. The promised one, in whome all the nations of the world will be blessed.

We are not talking about this part of the covenant. though

ANd PS. As I said earlier the church is not removed so Jew can be punished, that is not what scripture says. so not sure who told you this is what we think
