Walmart's success is the result of the consumer.
Each and every retailer's success is because the consumer approves of what they offer.

Walmart's pay scale and benefits are comparable with other retailers and better than many.
My neighbor works for Walmart as a night stocker and a makes over $16 per hour and that is more than Korger that is unionized.
I would challenge you to ask Walmart employees of how much they like or dislike Walmart and not believe the words of anti Walmart people.
As I said before, NO ONE forces people to work or shop at Walmart.
Seems a lot of folks like to work and shop at Walmart or they would not be so successful.

I do not shop at Walmart. I prefer to shop at local independent businesses.
But I do invest in Walmart because it is a great way to increase your retirement fund.

Consumers pay all the business' taxes and also says who successes and fails.
i got you point just fine, my response was showing it does not hold water.

again, im a consumer and i dont approve of them. and most consumers have no choice because Walmart destroyed all other retailers in the area.
im sure walmart pays much more than other retailers in china, nigeria and bagdad. but thats a pretty low bar.

everybody elses neighbor on the planet that works at walmart lives in poverty.

lol did you ever ask yourself why are there "anti" walmart people in the first place, and BTW there are more "anti" walmart people than there are walmart employees, but to label them as "anti" is misleading, as if this giant mob of millions of people just woke up one day and decided to badmouth walmart for no good reason.

no one forces anyone to shop there, i agree, they can either shop at walmart, or do without because all other places are gone because of walmart in many areas.

im very aware of walmarts success, IG Farben was a very successful company that made lots and lots of money off the gas they developed to exterminate Jews as well as their battle field poison gas. not sure i would invest in either company for the same reason i would not sell my soul to Satan.

consumers have no say in the success of walmart. if you believe that i have an eiffel tower i would like to sell you. i believe that you believe it, thats easy to see as i made all those points showing the truth about wall mart and your response to that . . .silence. we dont want to rock the boat with truth and facts.

another fun fact, sam walton would never give to charities, richest man in the country but would not give a dollar to a starving person, when asked about it he said he had done plenty for the poor by selling them products. i love it when these greedy people try and justify their selfishness. truly amazing!!

No retailer exist without consumers buying what they sell.
Your saying that people have no choice but to shop at Walmart does not hold water.
You do not shop at Walmart nor do I by choice.
I challenge you to name one person that MUST shop at Walmart. Who forced them to shop there?
I do not like Walmart. BUT I do not blame them for all the woes in the world today like so many want to.
I have a successful business because I offer local folks what they need at a price they are willing to pay.
I have long time employees because they believe I pay them a fair wage for the work they do.
It is their choice to be my employee and my costomer.
Truth is that consumers make a business successful.
Just because you do not believe it does not change the fact.

Yes. I agree that the consumers are partially to blame and it's hard to resist low priced products that come from China, Sirlanka, India , Pakistan and other Communist nations where people only get paid 75 cents an hour. Part of the blame is the lack of trade restrictions, tariffs and the lack of adequate taxation on the profits gained from foreign made goods. Our mone is out of our hands because so much is going over seas. There is so little factory work Even Ford is giving up the mainstream automobile manufacturing and will e production of specialty cars and trucks like Cobras, Ford GT's and Raptors. Fiat bought Chrysler. Harley Davidson is going overseas too!

My son works in a Sam's club (aka Wal Mart) tire shop and earns $15 per hour limited to 32 hrs a week. That's a better than most places here. It's still peanuts considering a 3 bedroom house costs $700-1000 a month. Gas, Electricity, sewer, trash, water , internet no home phone or cable tv $500+ easy. add car payments, insurance and maintenance and the cost of raising two children. His wife had to go to work as a dog catcher to make ends meet.

I don't know about where you live but there are more applicants than jobs here. People don't shop for jobs like theyre buying furniture here. They see what's available and take what they can get. The Police, Fire and School teachers have a union and the only factory worth mentioning is a small Goodyear plant that makes truck tires. Laborers there make about $20 an hour. Wal Mart is subsidized by the Dept. of Health and Human Services and the Dept. of Agriculture but most people don't realize how.. The is so low and hours are so few the employees get Medicaid for their children and Food Stamps which mostly get spent a Wal . That's our tax $$$$$!

Can you explain how Walmart is subsidized?

Every area is different. My neighbor has to drive 30 miles to her job at Walmart.
She works overtime most weeks because so many employees refuse to work more than 20 or 30 hours so they can get the freebes offered by the government.

I am not here defending Walmart nor any other company but I get so tired of people wanting to blame any company for all the worlds ills without accepting personal responsibility for their part.
Walmart is Walmart because the consumer and the workforce made them what they are.

NO ONE FORCED ANYONE TO SHOP AT OR WORK FOR WALMART.
It is their choice!

one town used to have 4 different stores to shop, wallmart drove them out of biz, now you have a single mom with three kids and no car, the next town is 30 miles away.

where does this lady go to get bread, hamburger meat and socks?

this lady, according to you, has no right to say one thing bad about walmart because she has a choice between walmart and walking 60 miles to the next town. lol wow!

also this lady used to be able to drive to the next town but her car was repossessed when she lost her manager job at the bakery, the bakery was forced out of biz by walmart.

Well I already explained They don't have any benefits and the hours are shortened so the can't be considered a full time if the apply for disability or unemployment insurance. The benefits like health insurance for their employees families are acquired from government agencies. Thus instead of providing their employees with medical coverage for their families like every large company should, it comes from the state or feds instead. So what if they have to raise prices? If they ,it will come out of our taxes anyway. Food Stamps also because they can't afford to put good food on the table thus the government is providing what their employer should. Then since it is usually the cheapest place in town the employees sped their USDA food assistance their and Wal Mart get's paid again. It's a scam! We're paying for it now.

They don't have to work or shop at Wal Mart. True but what's the alternative? Go on welfare? People don't turn down full time work here. Perhaps your state is over generous. I think people on welfare should be put to work like in the 1930's. Unregulated trading, banking and farming was the mistake of the 20's that caused in great part of 29 and the dust bowl.

Where did this happen? Name the location.

If the consumers in this town did not shop at Walmart it would never happen.
Can you not see the consumers in this town are just as much to blame as Walmart.

My neighbor has Walmart health ins for herself and family. Don't know how much it cost or how good it is but who ever told you they do not offer ins lied to you.

Everybody keeps complaining about how much Walmart pays and the benefits offered, but how does that compare with other retail stores in your town. I would guess they pay less and offer less than Walmart.

Charge Income taxes on profits on products made in other country's. Charge import duties also. When it becomes cheaper to make thing in the USA we'll get back to work and wages will go up, Moderate inflation is the sign of a heathy economy. Interests in domestic saving will rise the buying power of the dollar will fall and banking offshore will lose profitability.

But there are other choices, right?
How do these other stores' pay compare with Walmart's?
