President Trump became the first American President to convene a meeting at the United Nations on religious freedom, as he kicked off the U.N. General Assembly’s annual session with a “Global Call to Protect Religious Freedom,” writes Kelsey Zorzi, President of the U.N.’s NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief, in The Wall Street Journal.

“Flanked by Secretary-General António Guterres and Vice President Mike Pence, the president declared: ‘No right is more fundamental to a peaceful, prosperous, flourishing society than religious freedom, yet it is rare around the world. As we speak, many people of faith are being jailed, murdered, often at the hands of their own government.’”

Calling this issue an “urgent moral duty,” the President “announced that the U.S. is committing $25 million to religious-freedom efforts and launching a coalition of businesses for religious freedom.”

And here's my point in the "who is voting Trump" thread. We had a special speaker at church who is part of an organization. When the president was considering moving the embassy and recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol in Israel he came to this organization. He asked why it had not been done before. They told him that many presidents had promised it but no president had done it. And Trump replied "well, I'll do it!!". The special speaker said they were totally stunned that he agreed to do it. And he often works with this group who were the means of Pompeo and Freidman getting into office.

Bottom line is Trump is working with, not against, Christians, unlike Obama and Hillary. He is working against abortion and socialism. I don't know where the man stands with the Lord, but I know he's surrounded by born again Christians and I have no doubt they are witnessing to him. There are several reasons to vote for Trump and your post is just one of them. Thanks for sharing. The progressives are full of hate, IMO evil has over taken them and I'm praying their hopes and plans will be dashed in 2020 again.

Exactly, very true. I believe Trump is a late convert Christian and his old character is hard to completely change after 70 years. But I see fruit in what he chooses to stand for. He chooses to stand on many issues so called Christian politicians waa too afraid to stand on. But even if he wasn't a Christian we saw how Daniel worked with pagan Emperors, Nehemiah did the same, Esther also, many different Prophets was called in to give advice to different Kings that wasn't what I would of considered a God follower and probably others that are not coming to mind.

This is just one news article out of 100s related to all the good he has done on the religious freedom front and the issues of religious people like our stand on pro life.
