So I ask you; See the "?" That means it is a question not a statement.

Is all obedience "Self righteousness?"
never said that did I.

we are talking About obedience according to the law are we not?
As you will see I never claimed you said that, I was asking that was in the form of a question, and yes about the law.

This was written post death, burial, resurrection, and ascention:

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

I guess NOT sinning has become a bad thing these days.
i guess beqring false witness is ok these days?

you need to wake up, you cant hear a word people say to you because you are single minded
You are really reaching with the false witness question. No it is not lawful and I have not made a statement about any of your actions that was. If I have point them out and I will apologize to you, repent and ask for mercy. You tell me im wrong or misunderstanding the word to want to follow God's law. Yet the Spirit of God writes it on the heart and mind.

Hebrews 10:16-17, " 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” 17 then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

If it is "on their hearts, and write them on their minds" how is it wrong to love and think about His righteous way? Is it that you think or have been told they are death? Well I think they are life.

Matthew 19:16-19, " 16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Revelation 14:12-13, " 12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!"

Revelation 22:14-15, " 14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie

I have a question for you, has the Spirit written His law on your heart and mind?

Hebrews 10:16-17, " 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” 17 then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

Whats funny is you think you CAN follow gods righteous standard

how can you be usefull to god if you can not even admit you can not follow his standard?
i feel sorry for you
I never said I was perfect, I will be the firstto tell you I have sinned and probably will again, but I do not live a life as a slave to sin. I seek to use all the strength, guidance and spirit led empowerment He gives me to do His will. DO I fail at times? Yes. DO I then turn to or away from Him? I turn to Him and seek to walk in His narrow path.

Do you believe Jesus?

John 8:34-36, " 34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

John also offers a great explanation:

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin* (#G266), transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

*#G266 hamartian ἁμαρτίαν sin

1 John 5:18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

*#G264 hamartanei ἁμαρτάνει, continue to sin

God promises spiritual empowerment, do you believe Him?

Ezekiel 36:26-27, " 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules."

Here I even have something Paul wrote for you:

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

How do you view this passage? "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me, except follow His commands."

Seriously, no I am not perfect, that does not mean I reject spiritual empowerment to follow His ways. My life is a complete different life than it was when God changed me, and I hope He continues to shape me into what He wants me to be.

Yep! Listen to EG, and his ilk!
Because they are DOUBLE-MINDED! (or more!)
What better foundation to build upon, eh?
Or what better "mortar" could one use in buildings one's "spiritual house", then "untempered mortar!"

Ezekiel 13
3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.
10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
14 So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

Are you the lost sheep of the house of Israel?
Not lost! SCATTERED!
James 1

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

Luke 19
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

And, being scattered? BUILDING!

1 Peter 2
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Do you, or can you see what you did, by simply adding the word "now?"

Either by an honest mistake or in being dilberately (willingly ignorant) "misleading", you have set a "time limit", on the Father's "judgements!" Or, the "Word of God!" Of whose "words" NEVER PASS AWAY!
Only "traditions of man", or "precepts of man", make VOID the Word of God!

2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord;
3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

There is no "NOW" in that verse!

But, we can read the Christ's words:
Matthew 24
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity(Godlessness/Lawlessness) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

I believe Paul when he writes

Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth
Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.(The OLD COVENANT)

Romans 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law (the OLD COVENANT) by the body of Christ that ye should be married to another, (THE NEW COVENANT) even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

So you see, I am married to a new husband, so that I do not, under any circumstance, have to follow it perfectly

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
I am living with the gift of repentance and forgiveness. (With my new husband)

Gods people may HAVE HAD to be perfect before Christ, but I believe in ALL the work Christ did, all the things He said, and all the forgiveness He gives. It is through faith that the Holy Spirit dwells and works in my life, and it is that spirit in me that compels me to follow the law. There is no way the law giver could reside in me and me not follow the law.

To teach others if they chose to follow the law, they can only do so if they follow them perfectly, without forgiveness is nothing short of negating the work of Christ.

You follow the commandments "to love" do you not? When you chose to follow those how did you decide to not follow the rest of the commandments given by Jesus? What verse made you decide that you would stop there? I never hear you speak of the new covenant, except for the law of love. When you speak on the law it is only the law of Moses and quoting the things that were contrary to us, not the freedom from them that the New Covenant gave us?

I hear you speak of the curse of the law, is there STILL a curse? not if you believe Jesus died on the Cross. Do you or don't you believe this next passage, and if you do, why do you bring BACK the curse?

Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree
Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Is it a sin to not follow the law perfectly? Yes. Is that a sin that can be forgiven? Yes.

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures
The law requires perfection

if you want to follow the law that is your guide

good luck with your labors.

for thise who found rest in christ, we will pray you find that teat soon

I never said I was perfect, I will be the firstto tell you I have sinned and probably will again,
well you just admitted you do not keep he law, way to go, thats the first step to righteous living, now you can focus on others and stop focusing on self,

but I do not live a life as a slave to sin. [/QUOTE]
i would not be to quick to proclaim this, as long as your trying to follow the law your a slave to sin,
because your a slave to keep its requirement, and either have to lie to yourself you do, lower the standards of the law, or attack others you think are worse than you to keep trying to convince yourself you are following the law,

yes, you are correct. I used the niv for my quote, they insert the word now in the verse, most other translations do not use the word now.

niv- bad translation.

but, my point remains the same- this was for the prophets of Israel, you just plucked it out and threw it at e.g.

so, what you did was a invalid mis-use of Scripture.

but, that is how you judeaizers roll- no respect for Scripture.

1. you lie about me
2. you say i believe or say stuff i never did
3, you try to push following the ministration of death as a means of obedience
4. you post alot of scripture which has nothing to do with our conversation, because of the first 2 points.

the pharisee quoted alot of scripture to make themselves look like good god fearing men also, we both know how well that went

1 Psalms 117:1-2, " 1 Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! 2 For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!

2 No I think all the law, but as I explained before mediated by Jesus and the example is what Jesus said and did. He is our example.

3 Yes to me from reading the word there is not other way, there are more supporting verses also, but nearly the whole world teaches differently and it's a tough battle. Reminds me of Rev 12:17 battle.

Have a great week hallelujah!
So do you live and teach the commandment "do not kill" = do not murder?
Or, do you live and teach the commandment of Jesus to "love your enemy" and "resist not evil"?

Would you shoot someone in self-defense? Would you shoot an enemy soldier?

Are you the lost sheep of the house of Israel?

Greetings Gj,

To whom were they "lost"? That is an interesting question! Yahshua gave them a writ of divorce, put them out of His House, and scattered/sifted them throughout the nations. They were His spiritual people, wandering aimlessly in a pagan world, yearning to find what they had forgotten over the centuries. Their hearts were yearning for what they couldn't understand. Some had recollections of their history, but most were existing in ignorance yet compelled to "know Him" once again. Most forgot deliberately knowing that the Torah/Law prohibited God Himself from taking them to Himself ever again! This is why the Gospel is so significant to the Israelite gentiles. Love had made a way! Not only for the Israelites/the treasure in the field, but to the world/the field! The Israelites would be the "Bride" to be married to risen Yahshua Hos 2:16, and the world would be under the divine order of the Kingdom of Heaven.

SG
