1Co 7:19 NIV

(19) Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God's commands is what counts.
But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I [a]ordain in all the churches. 18 Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised. 19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters

no one is arguimg we should not keep, commands. The argument is how we do it

do we follow law (law requires circumcision) or do we follow god. Considering that he says here one does not have to follow the law in circucision, following law is NOT what is being said here!

James 2: 8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you [e]show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point,he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
james makes it quite clear here

it is one thing to keep aspects of the law, and live a righteous life, but if i keep all of the law, yet break on, i am guilty of the law and called a transgressor.

whoever trangresses the law, is cursed by the law

in this aspect. No one can keep the law. Because no one is sinless.
instead of focusing on law. We need to focus on God and others, to produce fruits of the spirit, otherwise we are on a fruitless walk which will get us no where
Who are you accusing here?

can you tell the world what myself and people like me believe and what sins we are committing? Go ahead and name them, its ok, we are not afraid of being judged, if it will expose what is really going on here
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Why are you arguing with the scriptures and how deep is the stab wound or cut it created?

Can't you see that I just posted a scripture without any of my own words ? Who's accusing you?

Look at your posts, read them...is it the TRUTH?
Does your words have the power to nullify the law of God. Does it have authority over God's words for you to call them "MEANINGLESS"?

Is the law not the word/s of the one LAWGIVER AND JUDGE to whom we will give account on judgment day? (Matthew 12:33-37, John 12:47-50)

Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” Romans 3:4

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 1 Timothy 6:3-5

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

It is not my job or duty to judge you but there is only one LAWGIVER and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor? (James 4:12)

Who are the Judaizers, lawkeeper, lawyers, works salvationist, pharisees etc. Why call some people here those names when you know they're not even Jews? What is the intention/motive behind that? Aren't you trying to imply that the Jews are a cursed and condemned people because of the law and so are those whom you tag those names on?

What you teach is that no one can keep the law which is a total lie and very deceptive.

Why would God say that He will put His laws in their minds and write them on their hearts if they cannot keep them?
Weren't they cut off because of their disobedience to God's law? (Read chapter 11 of Romans)

Take note of this,

The law that was written on tablet of stones are for those whose hearts were hardened as stones. But for those who live according to the Spirit, they/it is written on their hearts of flesh. (Read Romans 2:1-16)

What/who is inside your heart?

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, Romans 11:25-28,
(Read Hebrews 8:10-13, 10:16-17)

and, “A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:8-9

The word/s of God is a law to His servants, written on their hearts.

Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and walk in Love.

God is good and His Love endures forever. Amen.

you do not know the argument, and i am sick of being falsly accused by you based on your ignorance of what i Believe

your arguing with the wall, because you have no argument, because you supposition is in error.

when your ready to discuss the real issue, come on, i will, until then, keep yapping for no reason.

ps, i am not arguing with scripture, but with your interpretation of scripture

notice how you just totally ignored james. Typical!

The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without GRUMBLING. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11

These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. Jude 1:16

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 1 Peter 3:15-16

If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
1 Corinthians 14:37-38

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:6-7

Sorry E.G. but these scriptures are so "ACCUSING." They always say something you never even said and worst is that they are so ignorant of what YOU BELIEVE.

I personally ask forgiveness from you for their attacks on you.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. Hebrews 1:1-2

But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Romans 10:8,17

“Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” “Which ones?” the man inquired. Jesus replied, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”Matthew 19:17-19

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

“If you love me, you will obey what I command. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.” Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
John 14:15,21,23-24

...(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)...Romans 2:12-16

...I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Hebrews 8:10, 10:16

Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor? James 4:11-12

those scriptures do not accuse mme, offend me or anything else.

i love those scriptures, i believe them and i preach them..

the issue is you fail to comprehend the argument, you fail to comprehend what is actually being said to you because you are stuck in some mindset that you know my argument better than i do,

so your mock has fallen on death ears, and all you have done is just fuether pushed your trustworthiness out to left field,

that is the point. they do not want to have a real discussion, just throw out talking points and false accusations.

i'll say again, if they are so right, and we are so wrong, then why not have a real discussion??

I think that just may be the point, its the same reason they refuse to answer questions

if you have real faith in what you believe, these things never happen. Its like having real faith in jesus, you will never leave him, because he never lets you down.

find one post where e.g or I said any of this.

did you miss my post about sin, just a few back.

I think i'll just go and let you and mr. gardener argue with these non- existing people who say the things you claim ...
Yanno? There's a whole lot that can be learned concerning "traditions of man" and "precepts of men", from how a person, or persons "react", and "respond" when shown "interpretations", that "differ" from that which they have been taught to (sadly and tearfully) "hang their hats on", so to speak.

So, you are saying that you and EG, and others don't believe that salvation by grace through faith alone equates to "Spiritual Maturity?"

Then, how can you say that "spiritual sacrifices" done per the "law of Moses", which are acceptable to God by Jesus Christ, are seen as "leagalism" or "Judizising", or "Hebrew Roots", or more "slanderous monikers" in your "flesh beholden eyes?"
Is is not because the Words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ spoke "truth" to Nicodemus, when He stated:
"What's flesh is flesh!" "And, what's Spirit, is Spirit?"
Isn't this also the "reasons" why the scribes and pharasee's were so wroth with Jesus Christ? Because "flesh is flesh, and Spirit is Spirit?"

Perhaps, also, this is why you don't see "the rod of iron" for what it is, when stated in the O.T. by Isaiah? After every knee bows, and every tongue CONFESSES Jesus Christ?
Isaiah 28
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through (ROD OF IRON), then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to UNDERSTAND the report.

Question:
Who is it that Paul states cannot understand "Spiritual things?" That "views" such "things" as "folly" in their eyes?

It COULDN'T be "traditions of man", or "precepts of men", or "blind shepherds", or "hirelings", that would cause SUCH A LOSS to the "Word of God!"
COULD IT?
NAH! Couldn't be!

Yes, "Bubba!"
It, not only CAN?
It IS!
What y'all seemingly are not understanding, is that it IS JUST AS TRUE in THESE days, as it was true in O.T. days!

Yes! Mr.gb9. There's a lot that can be learned from how a person, or persons react, and respond to "things Spiritual" when viewed from "the eyes of men!"

I can't make you "see" that N.T. "teachings", ESPECIALLY, well? From ALL the "writers"(yes? even the first 4 books of the N.T.) of the N.T., are "chewed up" and "condensed" teachings from the O.T. Older folks may refer to them as "Readers Digest" versions. Younger folks may refer to these teachings as "some segments may have been omitted, or shortened to "fit" into the time allotted.

I can only testify, and bare witness, to "Spiritual Maturity", and the spiritual sacrifices acceptable TO God by Jesus Christ FOR "this Holy Priesthood", can do to, and for a person! (as y'all may well see, but may not admit to, is like being sent out like a "lamb in a world of wolves)
I can't make you "see" or do this! Paul couldn't! NONE of the writers in the N.T. could do it! Jesus Christ of Nazareth can't do it! Even He who sent Jesus Christ to be sacrificed for our sins, can't do it!
THAT'S on YOU!
"Like sands through the hour glass of this earth/heaven age?"
"The days of our lives?" "Is just about come to an end."

Which causes me to be so "baffled" at y'alls responses.

There are not many "believers" who DON'T have a Bible of one sorts or another.
Y'all have so many more advantages then ALL of our ancestors PUT TOGETHER!
Yet? For all these advantages?
Y'all still have no clue what time it is!

Hopefully y'all will Sherlock it out!
So as not to be "sure locked" out!

Wow! I didn't see where Simple Gardener called EG, a drug addict, or "narcissistic" anywhere!
He was just "making an observation", in regards to responses from some people.
Why you "choose" to "claim this for yourself?"
Is beyond me!
Unless of course, that shoe fits so well, you can't "shake it off!" :)

FWIW EG.
You can read the response I wrote to "gb9."
It would save me from copying and pasting the same response to you.

Yawn

this does not even make sense.

and no, being saved does not equate to spiritual maturity.

if your gonna slander someone, at least come up with something more reasonable

eveyone knows the moment your saved by grace your not automatically spiritually mature.

it can takes years of taking steps of faith, being trained by God, studying and learning who he is, and learning to follow the spirit

and no, it has nothing to do with the law, the law brought them to their knees so they could be saved in the first place. Now they need what really matters

it is not that we follow the law, it is that we live in a way that by nature does not break gods commands.

you people are to focused on commands, and NOT the power which causes us to not break them.

and then you get mad when someone tries to share this with you, and turn to slanderous likes like this

once again, when yoru ready to talk real issues, come see me.

Yawn

this does not even make sense.

and no, being saved does not equate to spiritual maturity.

if your gonna slander someone, at least come up with something more reasonable

eveyone knows the moment your saved by grace your not automatically spiritually mature.

it can takes years of taking steps of faith, being trained by God, studying and learning who he is, and learning to follow the spirit

and no, it has nothing to do with the law, the law brought them to their knees so they could be saved in the first place. Now they need what really matters

it is not that we follow the law, it is that we live in a way that by nature does not break gods commands.

you people are to focused on commands, and NOT the power which causes us to not break them.

and then you get mad when someone tries to share this with you, and turn to slanderous likes like this

They're stuck in the pride of their circular reasoning. Only Christ can lift the vail from their minds.

Have you noticed that not one person, who didn't already understand Christianity, has changed their view point because of what we have shared in Scripture with them?

Because people aren't coming to us as small children. We can't do it. I can't do it. They can't do it.

But people can come to Christ as children. I do/did. And if I do/did the most stubborn, proud person ever should be able to...

Love how you post not to slander

yet you do that with almost every post

shame on you,
Again, my apology if these scriptures slandered you. Maybe it's just their real nature.

and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

.......So many spiritual illnesses are easily observable......so many characteristics consistent with carnality.

One of the dead giveaways is the claim which I have heard many times; "I follow Paul"!

Paul says this is the sign of a "carnal Christian" .......I am of Paul;........ I am of Apollos .........
Greetings, S.Gardner!

Paul, here, is not talking about some of his teachings having precedence over Jesus' teachings or the other way around; he is talking about choosing one preacher over another.

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” John 8:44-47

Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. 1 John 3:15

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Revelation 21:8

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Revelation 22:14-15

The word/s of the Master is a law to His servants, written on their hearts.

Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and walk in Love.

God is good and His Love endures forever. Amen.

Greetings Marcelo,

Are you asserting that Paul was encouraging them to choose one, or not to choose any?

When Paul speaks of who to follow he refers believers to follow Jesus, and cites His following Jesus as an example. Many confuse Paul's words to say "Follow Me", when the word speak to his redirecting others to follow Jesus as their example, not him, citing that he follows Jesus and everyone else should do likewise.

1Co 11:1 NIV

(1) Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

Is this what you were saying?
