I played chess off and on for 20 years. Played hundreds of live games online, took some chess lessons and read a few chess books. Eventually became some of an expert at it. Then I started feeling like it was idolatry so I stopped playing. Another hobby of mine is building vocabulary.

I've long been engrossed by chess. I love tactical activities. Time wasn't something I could commit, and there is so much to learn! Building vocabulary is another very worthile endeavour, this tied into literature and poetry is something I did commit to, that and foreign languages. Delving into the original manuscripts of the Bible has been especially rewarding.

Biblical studies, music (guitar, violin), calisthenics, cooking, literature, animation, programming, languages and animals.
I used to be a professional orchestral violinist for several years. On the monthly concerts we played mostly standard symphonies by composers like Mozart, Brahms, Stravinsky, Ravel and Vivaldi. I even played in the ballet company orchestra one year. You have eclectic interest, diverse is good.

That is very impressive to say the least Reggie! I can't say I am that accomplished with the violin, but I enjoy it all the same. Given your background in music, I thought you'd might appreciate this:

Much appreciated Reggie. I came here after discovering the app on Google Play Store, but have been more active on the forum. I'm liking both very much.

I have a Mennonite background so I cook/bake a lot and feel a little sad when I have no one to feed (I console myself by making those nights that I go out and let someone else cook for me, lol).
My hobby is making friends with people who cook/bake a lot and feel a little sad when they have nobody to feed. :D

I watched the whole video. That's neat how the stars and the whales praise God. I especially liked the explaination on stars and the sounds that they make.

Surfing, but I'm taking a long break for now. Now I'm trying to get back into mountain biking and learn how to be a decent snowboarder. My goal is to incorporate surf style in snowboarding. in my mind I will be riding a perfect wave, but everyone else see a beginner snowboarder.

Something very similar to this. Enjoy!

Wow, You all are extraordinary! It's a wonder you found this lonely site... I use to do a lot of those things but not able anymore. Along the way lost relationships and the ability to play sports. Then I found this site.Welcome...

I ❤...

French food, clothing, and handbags. And I keep Valrhona and champagne on the ready.
Beautiful things, people, places and experiences.
Fashion and interior design, sewing, and historical costumes.
White attire and decor and I’m crazy about mint green.
Homemaking, decluttering, organizing and storage goods.
Jane Austen, classics, historical balls, and etiquette.
Travel, horses, golf, long walks and equestrian events.
Classical music, opera, theater, ballet and the symphony. My favorite period is baroque and I love the harp.
1950s and Regency fashion, hats, gloves and fascinators.
Planning, goal setting, planners, stickers and washi tape.
Reading, libraries, and listening to audiobooks when I tidy.
Writing, journaling, dining out and entertaining.
Dancing, new experiences, photography and gardening.
Be pampered, spoiling others, being a lady, and laughing just because.
