Yo, Lefties, REPRESENT!

Anyone here a Christian, but doesn't vote for War Mongerers, Torturers, Big Government intruding into Women's bodies, The Rich crushing the poor??

I will always be a Liberal (Left wing) person. The Teachings of Jesus made me this way in my youth.

I'm tried of fighting it. I'm proud of it. :)

I'm here to say you can be a Christian and not have to vote for for Rich Hate Filled Racist War Mongerers. :)

Add me as a friend if you wanna :)

[Heads off to stir up more trouble]

lol you remind me of my pastor from college, except for the more trouble part he would totally agree with you.

he sent me this message a couple days ago:

"I guess my problem is that not everyone who cries "Lord, Lord", as the Lord Himself said, is necessarily close to Jesus or entering the Kingdom of heaven. And my experience after 73 years of living and 47 years in the ordained ministry is that those who cry it the loudest usually have the least to back it up. You talk about talking about Jesus and God. Every day of my life I hear people talking about the saving love of Jesus and God and who stand by idly or proudly participate while their baptized brothers and sisters make war against innocent people, torture prisoners, put them in cages without charge or trial, blame everything wrong in the world on Muslims and Jews and Mexicans and Central Americans and blacks and gays and uppity women and of course labor unions. -While they deny authentic science for their own profit and then steal from the poor to make the top 1% of the US population more grotesquely rich than they already are. And I seldom hear anyone in the churches standing up to all this hatred and made-up science and thievery by really preaching, teaching, and living the love of Christ."

Though we may not agree on a lot of things you can see he is very passionate and on fire for God.Just I thought I'd share with you his message.

I'm a registered Democrat (My family has been since the Revolution haha)
I'm slightly conservative with economic issues, but foreign and social policy are pretty liberal for me :D (except I'm all for gun rights)... and nuking Iran... and going into genocide areas and ending the killing.. but mostly nuking Iran..) haha kidding.

I sometimes agree with liberals and sometimes I agree with conservatives. It depends on the issue.

I personally cannot stand the whole two party political system we have. There needs to be some way to try to represent the entire population, not just the Dems if they have more people in office or vice versa.

Jesus worked within the political framework of the time to minister to anyone and everyone who would hear His message. Back then just like now, times of political upheaval and social unrest cause some people to search for "more" or for the "true meaning of life".

Whatever our political leanings, we can be excited about the times in which we are living. Could it be that more seekers looking for answers will consider Christ? In our lifetime, will all this current angst about political maneuvering be an inroad for the Gospel, a precursor to the next Great Awakening? I hope so.

Times like these call for our vigilance in prayer.

II Chronicles 7:14 says:
"If my people, who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

I Timothy 2:1-3 says, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior." The footnote following this verse in the Spirit-Filled Life Bible says:
"We must pray for those who are in authority over us if we wish to reap the benefits of good government, which is a prized gift from God for the church’s welfare and advancement of the Gospel."
