does spring affect your desire for a mate? (silly yet true)

I know its a common saying "spring, love is in the air" and all that. Animals mate in the spring, etc... For some reason I have always noticed that my desire for someone of the opposite sex increases in spring.

Is this true for the rest of you?

As a christian and someone who believes that right now is not my time, as usual I ignore and fight this feeling. But yea. I don't know how a season of the year could affect our biology. God made it that way perhaps. Why? I don't know.

Another thing that makes life for Christian singles who are seeking purity harder.
 
Animals usually mate in winter and give birth in the Spring.

You seem to have the matter concluded that it is somehow more difficult to 'stay pure' in Spring.

I disagree, I think its only in your mind.

It's all those short shorts and dresses. Kidding.

I have never noticed such a thing. I have also never heard anyone say such a thing.
 
Yes, because around here women all start wearing shorts and short skirts.

this phenomenon is sometimes called Spring Fever. and, seeing as how it actually has a name, you can rest assured that you are not the only person who feels this way.

If you live in a country with harsh winters I could understand how spring would effect you. Minus signs in front of the temperature reading would not be good for the libido .

LOL!!! That is a rather graphic description, eh mate. Yea PA did have some crazy weather this winter.
 
I am not sure of that but there's one thing I am sure of...it will happen in His perfect time. :)
 
I don't know whether there's any scientific basis for it, but I do have to say that the sight of people holding hands on beaches together, flowers all over the place.... it does kind of made one more aware of being solo.

Spring doesnt do it for me, its the fall that is probably the toughest season.........its family time
 
I come from a place that rains and cloudy all winter so I notice in the spring I am a lot more positive and happy since the days are getting long and its sunny more.

I think I have noticed that before though. I havent thought a bout it for a while. I do remember a few years ago thinking my desire to be with someone was from it being spring time.
 
its winter for me. It very cold and snowy and I just wanna go inside and cuddle.
