Questions asked in my last thread "One Talent" were as the title
Was Adam made Holy and did he live there in Holiness
We know Adam fell, but did he live in holiness before his fall.

Request: In replying please do not attack personally or use extreme language
Please do not bring up hurts of the past with other members, leave bitterness
at the door. And for those with axes to grind, please focus on the discussion.

Remember if you bring up law then your answers and questions should reflect
that we are to love one another perfectly as God loves us.

Before he fell he was under the law "thou shalt not eat of the forbidden fruit". The letter of the law it kills, as that which the father of lies uses to continue his murderous work of trying to destroy mankind.

Scripture does not record whether or not God had salvation, mercy and grace on Adam. Abel would seem to be the first who was given a rest (sabbath). Christ yoked with him working in him to both will and perform the good pleasure of God like Philippian 2:12 .He is the first recorded martyr also.

Cain did not see that (sabbath) rest. . having not not believed in a God not seen (no faith) . Cain's load of suffering the pangs of hell a living work was increased . Cain said it is a tribulation he could not bear (suffering the pangs of hell). One that only Christ alone did bear. God marked him 666. .. natural unconverted mankind.... beast of the field

Hi Garee,
In answer to your three statement:

1. Don't forget Adam lived before the day of rest, the seventh day. That is he was made,
then the Lord rested, since Adam was made before God had finished his works of creation
then Adam would have shared in that rest.

2. I believe Adam was loved of Go and fully saved :)

3. Cain certainly ha da bad press, killed his brother, marked for life.

The question is 1. Was Adam amde holy
2 Did he lived a holy life

Thanks for responding :)

salvation wasn’t in question before partaking the forbidden fruit, salvation was a result of the forbidden fruit

adam lived as just a man as well before he became a living being a man with a soul

gen 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being

I think we can reasonably assume that Adam continued to live a holy life, even after the fall. I don't usually speculate on another's salvation. But I look at the fruits a man leaves. He did raise Abel, Seth and others. Scripture tells us they continued to believe in the Lord:

Gen. 4:25,26
"And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the LORD."

God looked upon creation and saw that it was good...
until after Eve was made, then it was very good :)

Yes, everything that God made was good
and Adam was made holy because he walked with God in the garden
and Adam and Eve walk naked and were not ashamed. When God called
Adam, He said, "Where are you?" which indicates that they would walk
together and converse, but Adam was now ashamed of his nakedness.
And their previous state had been a state of innocence.

Remember God made the heavenly host, the angel, and there are degrees of angels.
And 1/3 of the angels rebelled with their leader Satan. Some angel were steadfast
and some fell, so some Angels were made elect so that they could not fall, and some
were made with a will f their own and they fell because they rebelled against God.

Adam was made with free will, he could stand with God and obey or he could listen to Eve
but he chose to follow Eve, knowing it was wrong, and fell. God knew Adam would fall.
After he fell there had to be a sacrifice, and they were clothed with the skins of animals.

Before the fall there was no death, becaus eherbs were their meat. Both man and beats
leaved by eating herbs and plants.

Adam continued to worship God and was saved.

Someone insisted on asnwers to this, this is why I posted the question.
I think it was too easy for you all. :)

How did Adam atone for his sin? I think he disobeyed and is probably eternally punished.

You're definitely new. 😆
I've been on here since 2011 and these are the kinds of things that define the BDF. Among others of a similar kind.

Luke 9:26 Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of
them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. :)

I believe that was NIV, but even KJV says holy angels:

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be
ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

The phrase certainly distinguishes the holy angels from those who rebelled.

How is a person's sin atoned for?

By faith.

Why does sin have to be atoned for?

By the blood of Jesus,

Therefore are we not saved by faith?

Adam and Eve sinned, they fell, but does that mean after they did not have faith in God?

Genesis 4:1

Cain Murders Abel
(Luke 11:51; Heb. 11:4; 12:24)
1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.”

Cain kills Abel and we can find trust not only has she lost Abel but also Cain as he is put away from Adam & Eve.

Yet we find

Genesis 4:25-26

A New Son
25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” 26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.

Genesis 3:8
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

the LORD God walking in the garden I think "refers to the preincarnate Jesus. This preincarnate Jesus then made atonement for Adam and Eve by providing animal skins as a covering for them. The shedding of blood of animals before it was given to Israel.

So I think they are with God

These verses are also from the KJV: (@JamOn :))

Matthew 25:31
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Mark 8:38
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Acts 10:22
And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Revelation 14:10
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Those were the only other ones I found (in KJV) with the two words together :)

Indeed thanks you for that, and when God said he must not eat of the tree life and said or he would be like one of us surely seems of the holy ones, Adam wasn’t made holy I don’t believe nothing says he was, though a man with a soul who dwelled in righteous garden. even that statement he shall surely never die by eating of tree of life simply says Adam even when he was created was with a lifespan.

1 Peter 1:16
For it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.

IMO I think this applies to all rather people or angels, thus holy angels is doing God’s will.
