I planned to go to CFA today earlier in the week but didn't.
As is everyone's prerogative. (I go because they have great chicken strips, and serve milk shakes.)

Agreed. Not sure how you may have gotten that I intimated otherwise.

Eat at Mc Donald's if Chick-a fil makes you angry. The food is lousy but Joan Krock and the Salvation Army should warm your heart.

well I read it...the whole thing

seems self righteousness is common all the way round :cautious:
I wouldn't say they're self righteous. I'd say we should consider the language they use here in this thread.
Rather than use inclusive language, they employ separatist language; "Christians", rather than, "we as Christians", or some other phrase.
Rather than understand the issue, that CF changed their Christian charities policies because of the harassment suffered from LGBTQ community radicals, they claim Satan is at work in the Christians that are offended a Christian business abandoned its Godly principles for mammon. Which is in the article that I posted, even going so far as to have a quote to that effect. They altered their charities list due to harassment by LGBTQ. That was said.

Righteousness cannot be found in the unrighteous. The radicals in the LGBTQ movement are evidence of this. As are all LGBTQ when they are unashamed, proudly march and demonstrate all manner of deviant behavior in those pride marches, and are unrepentant as immoral sinners.
GLAAD, GLSEN, and other LGBTQ groups are Christophobic. Wholly intolerant of Christians and our values, and wholly dedicated to opposition of even our right to say so in public. They demand tolerance, but it is considered by them to be at best an example of homophobia, to expect tolerance in return.

When a non-Christian LGBTQ member rails against the faith as the most radical of their community do, and target Christians wherever they find them, we might wish to consider to tighten the armor of God around us ever more, because this is a matter of spiritual warfare.

It isn't Satan that is whispering orders into the ear of the Christians who are boycotting CF now, it is the LGBTQ members who are actively terrorizing Chick-Fil-A at home in America, where it all began, and across the pond in Great Britain.

We cannot reason from a Christian perspective with those who do not have respect for Christian people or our faith.
Their Gay Pride march comes to a crashing halt at the gates of Hell. Or Sheol. Be it what one's personal Denomination teaches, the fact is unrepentant sexually immoral sinners are not tolerated by God.
Never have been, never shall be.

God's word doesn't change because the secular community does. God isn't secular.

"After donating to more than 300 charitable organizations this year, the Atlanta-based fast-food chain will instead focus on three initiatives with one accompanying charity each: education, homelessness and hunger.”
***"

How much more Christian can CF be? I would like to see every company follow that example.
I think what is missed by the most is that the charities CF is now going to donate to charities that do not hold to Christian tenets concerning the sin of LGBTQ.

Chick-fil-A ending donations to Christian charities that oppose gay marriage
...."“There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,” Chick-fil-A President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Tassopoulos said in an interview with Bisnow. “There are lots of articles and newscasts about Chick-fil-A, and we thought we needed to be clear about our message.”…
The new giving structure moves away from the multiyear commitments Chick-fil-A had with the Salvation Army and the FCA and focuses on annual grants, which Tassopoulos said will be reviewed and assessed each year. Future partners could include faith-based and non-faith-based charities, but the company said none of the organizations have anti-LGBT positions
But after years of “taking it on the chin,” as a Chick-fil-A executive told Bisnow, the latest round of headlines was impossible to ignore. This time, it was impeding the company’s growth.
[C]ompany leaders … felt a new message was needed — especially in foreign markets, where the most prominent brand exposure to Chick-fil-A are headlines about its support for organizations with anti-LGBT stances. "

CF, is choosing the road Apostate Denominations have chosen of late; to abandon God's word concerning sexual immoral sins, and concede to the sinners that protest the companies faith and values in that area.

CF now is like unto what Jesus said about those Disciples that turned and left the fold of Disciples. They were with us but they were not one of us.

CF chose money over values.
Apostate Denominations that allow LGBTQ to be Deacons, even pastors, and also perform weddings for LGBTQ, continue to have people in their congregation. Does this mean they are of God?

When we abandon God's principles, because the pressure of a sinner community that resorts to radical protests and even issues death threats because they hate those who love God's word, can we actually say we are in The Word of God?
If we capitulate, concede to this community of sinners, where else will we lay down the scriptures and rewrite God's word to say, you're OK just the way you are.

ever notice how some posters make their statements according to 'their Knowledge' of the Holy Scriptures,
and then we have those who simply make their statements according to their 'own' understanding, usually
being 'bench-warmers', for an hour or so, one-day-a-week, and simply gull-up' what their so called
preachers=say, and who most certainly have never READ The Bible Cover-to-Cover., even ONCE???

oh well, some of us know where our Saviour draws His lines', and, as we can very well see, so very often
others do not, as they have no real knowledge of our Saviour's Heart, which He shed abroad for each
and every one of us - and thus, we must ponder and discern and learn, that there is truly 'no gray-area'
concerning Jesus Christ's ways and means in order to enter into to His Rest -
LUKE 11:23.
He that is not with Me is against Me: and he that gathers not with Me scatters;
24.

I've noticed.
Really though it is a beautiful thing to witness what is in scripture being exampled thousands of years later, even if it is in a community forum.
The Lukewarm church, the Apostates, all of it that Jesus warned about in the testaments and Revelation, can be seen to exist today.
I think that is fascinating because it demonstrates that God's word is eternal and everlasting, no matter the age.

CF abandoned its principles that garnered them grand support and more monies from Christians and those that appreciated their stand for God ordained marriage, when the SCOTUS gay marriage decision was at issue years ago.
Now they've flipped due to the ongoing pressure of those who are not in God ordained marriage. They've abandoned that principle because they were losing monies that are able to be deducted in their ledger as a loss, being they're a corporation.

"Oh, it's business." CF knows how business runs. And closing a store they just opened in GB is able to be written up as a loss on the books. Because it is.
There is no excuse for CF turning from God's word. None whatsoever.
They're Apostate, just like those Denominations that turned from God's word are to this day.

And come the judgement they shall answer for it. Just as those Denominations leadership shall. And the congregants that remained in a false church too shall answer.
If they can't hold to God's word in the face of adversity on this issue, what good are they as an example of a company that claims it holds Christian values? When they're now making news for abandoning those.

Whispered,
hub and I are not in the least 'worried' about their business or the personal consequences of their actions -
we were simply quoting the scriptures pertaining to their actions -
if they don't fear God and Keep His Commandments, then, as we who Love and Serve our Saviour,
already know the out-come of their actions - and yes, this brings us great grief, but, our Beloved
has taught us how to handle and accept the world's ways by now, at our 'advanced age'...:):)

Frankly, I feel no one has any right to criticize CFA unless they have done at least as much as that company has. And most people haven't even done one ten-millionth as much as they have.

well I guess I missed that in that long post

anyway, I was pointing out, that the gay person...you have to read the link that was given...was just as self righteous as the Christians he was all huffy about being what he was doing himself...self righteous

I just don't think Christians need to go on and on remarking on the nasty gays etc.

I found that interesting...the same 'trait' being apparent...kinda of made me think neither was ...umm....doing 'right'

but that, at this point, may just be me

anyhow, that's enough fine tuning for me on this one

I did read the linked article concerning the closeted gay CF employee too.
