okay. so before my mom went to work we went to get a coke. we got back and as i was getting out of the car she points at the floorboard and says "i got that bag for you" unsure of what it was i said thanks and of coarse "bye, love you" i went upstairs to my bedroom and began looking through the bag. in the bag it had tons of infmoration on sex. in addition it had several condoms. both male and female.... what does this mean?? what am i to do?

Go to your mom and be ready and open to talk. Ask all the questions in your head, on your mind, and upon your heart. Hopefully, this is what she wants you to do, and will be ready for you to do so.

This is a sad situation, really. My friend I see you love your mother, so I know you will speak to her with honor. That is good, however, it has been a real sneaky thing that has happened, in this case it is obvious. You will not have to answer to your mother, nor your father, nor to your friends for the things you do in your life, you will ultimately answer to God for it.

A lot of people have promoted fornication, with the idea that safe sex outside of marriage is harmless, when it is a direct opposition to God and his Word. In the same sense, some people have even polluted it within marriage. Many people marry out of lust, because they cannot contain, which is far better than to fornicate, because then it is legal inside marriage.

As a friend in Christ I would say get rid of the condemns, and entreat your mother gently with the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Not forsaking the Truth but sharing the truth gently with her. May Jesus bless you.

It means that your mom doesn't want you to be unaware of the challenges awaiting you in the next phase of your life. Girls, the temptations that come with it, the curiosities etc. etc. She knows and understands that as you get older, your interests will change. I can appreciate that this action made you feel uncomfortable and awkward. But it's sometimes a hard thing for parents to talk to their children about sex ...... and the temptations that come with it. You are about to enter that age where you will face these very things. I'm guessing that your mom probably picked up that bag as an 'information kit' from some teen center that issues such things for parents to give to their teenagers. They are meant to be used as a source of information to learn. I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that your mom isn't even aware of the total contents of that bag. Think of it in the light that I'm sure your mom meant it to be. A source of information on matters that you will soon face and need to understand in the oncoming years on matters of sex and teenagers ....... and the dangers and complications that come with this. Your mom did this because she loves you. God bless you dear young friend :)

as stated before i think you should talk to her about sex, ask the questions on the subject that you may have. Even if you plan on waiting until marriage you should still be educated.

she just wants you to be safe and not get a girl pregnant and know of the risk and that if it ever goes down to that shes just being a good parent

Agreed. Also, with mothers and sons, it is extremely difficult to imagine their little baby boy is growing up. As others have said, pray first for guidance, then approach your mother with an open heart, respect, and much love. God bless.

i think it means your mom realizes that you are likely to have questions about sex but is either wanting you to ask her or hoping they are answered in the inforamtion she gave you so she doesn't have to talk to you about it. however, I personally feel that very few if any of these types of pamphlets actually give you the truth in them.

wow pray about it and talk to God. don't given into any pressures that would have you do what the rest of the world says is ok, its more important to do what GOD says is ok. Jesus did not come to bring peace but a sword. Love and honor your mother but LOVE and WORSHIP GOD more.

Matthew 10:34-36 (New King James Version)

Christ Brings Division
34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’[a

It doesn't mean she wants you to have sex. She realizes that she is not in control of your actions and if it does happen she is concerned for your well-being and would rather it be done safely than ending up with an unwanted pregnancy or an STD. "Better safe than sorry."

Sounds like your mom is concerned about protecting you in this area, but she doesn't really know how you feel, whether you are sexually active or how to approach the subject with you. A lot of kids' parents never take the time to approach this topic with their kids, so I'm glad your mother cares enough to do it, even if she did it awkwardly. :) She loves you.

If I were you, I would say something like, "Mom, I understand what you were trying to do. Do you have some time to talk about it?"

Sit down with her. Ask her questions if you have them. Answer her questions. You may very well put her mind at ease about some things. It could be the beginning of a whole new level of communication between the two of you, adult to adult. It would show maturity on your part, which would give her greater confidence in you.

Raising a teen son is tough. We moms have never been teenage boys, so help us out a little bit. :)

God bless you!

There are several things you left out of your story. Have you decided to abstain from sex until marriage? Is your mother a believer like you? Is there a father in your household? The answer to all these questions, I believe, should shape your reaction to your mother's overture. (I believe she was probably trying to initiate a discussion with you without "getting in your face".)

The only troubling part of your mother's actions, in my opinion, was the implication that she has accepted the fact that you will have premarital sex. You need to talk to her and tell her your feelings about the subject. The most important thing is for you two to get on the same page.

ive been on the fence towards premarital sex, i havent truely made my mind up. a couple years ago i said
"ide never!" but now my mind reaches for excuses.. my father is in the houshold, and my mother is a fellow believer. though my parents dont go to church often because they work alot. so i typically go by myself or go with my biological dad to catch up on our week (me and my father have an austounding realtionship dispite the fact he is my "step" father)

If you don't want them give them too me, condoms are ridicuously expensive and Im to lazy to go to family planning -_- And you're mum probably just wants you to be safe if you do decide you wish to give into teenager hormonal lust. I seriously doubt she's like, you have to go have sex !! cuz from a mother thats just weird.

P.S condoms have a use by date of a about 2 years so get married !! Or leave you're morals at home !!

Don't have premarital sex. Do you believe in God? Do you love God? Your sitting on the fence is trying to decide if you love God. Israel was being led by judges that were given direction from God. When Israel decided they wanted a king to lead them instead of a judge ( at the time Samuel) and God. They wanted man’s rules not God's. When Israel was insisted on a king God told Samuel "they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them" (1 Samuel 8:7). Which are you? One that wants God to be lord of your life and to follow Him or one who does not want God in your life? Not obeying God is rejecting Him. You reject not man or man's ideals you reject what your Creator has asked you not to do. In Corinthians it says all other sins are outside the body but immoral sex (adultery, fornication, etc) defiles the Holy Spirit that resides in you. There isn't anything in the Bible that says sex "in these modern times" is okay.. The Bible in Heb 13:8 says Jesus is the same today as yesterday and forever. There isn't anything in the Bible that says sex with someone you are committed to is okay. These are all ways Satan tries to pull you from the Light into the darkness. Remember how Satan convinced Eve to sin. First he said God's words were not true. Satan made God a liar. Then he appealed to her by saying if you do this (eat of the fruit) she will be like everything like the gods. He tempted her by saying if do this you will be like everyone else. Many people fail in temptation by reasoning "everyone else is doing it why shouldn't I".
Be strong and resist the urge to practice premarital sex. When you feel the urge (to sin) go to the Bible. When Jesus was in the wilderness and Satan tried to get Jesus to turn from God what did Jesus do? Jesus used the Word of God to combat Satan, He quoted scripture and Satan fled. The Bible says if you draw close to Him He will draw close to you and Satan will flee.
Be strong brother and pray.

She just wants to protect you from getting a girl pregnant and she's too embarassed to hand you those things out in the open face to face (which is why the bag).
