throughout Florida's public school system, from now on, it will be taught that family is a man and a man, woman and a woman, and woman and a man all of them with their children. I'm not going to be affected, since im in college, but those who are still in school will. This children will grow up thinking that gay families are normal SMH..It is clearly that we are leaving in the ends of times, it's a matter of time before Jesus brings justice and ends all this nonsense.

As a straight man with a gay brother, I say, about time.
Florida is ALWAYS behind in the laws (I lived here for 8 years and I'm currently attending college here.) Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties were the only school districts that had a protection clause so that gay teachers couldn't be fired and gay students could be protected from bullying. And I was never taught ANY family values in my high school, straight, gay, w/e. So I don't think you're basing this on fact. You just wanna stir up controversy when there isn't any, don't you? Instead of freaking out about "them darn homos" being teachers, how about you worry about your kids losing good teachers b/c of Rick Scott's totalitarian ideals for government.

just be in prayer about it and start a petition or letters to your representatives to exclude talking about "families' in general. they don't have to condemn gay marriages but they should not be teaching our kids its OK either.

what do you expect when they take prayer out of school? without that weapon to fight the darkness, what hope do the schools really have?

We just pray in silence and do as the Holy Spirit moves us to do and say. like I said write your congressmen.

Wolfywolf, Trollolol?

Ok, sadly this has been happening for quite some time. Not just in FL. In MA there has been nothing but gay agenda being fed to school children. It is good to try and contact representatives and try to boycott the idea, but sadly not many people seem to really care. God and prayer was taken out of school, so it went down hill from there. I'd suggest joining effort in the MassResistance:
Horror stories in your schools

Also decent YouTube vid for ya:
YouTube - Carman With Petra - Our Turn Now

I don't see the problem with that? What's saying that a family with gay parents can't be happy?
Are you feeling threatened or something...?

I have no problem with this. There are children out there whose parents are gay, other kids need to learn to be tolerant. Some people are different.

Thats exactly how they want us to feel about it. Then when these children get bi-curious they will just go with it and not question whether its right or wrong, and if their parents object, they can say "but thats what they taught us in school mommy, that its perfectly ok and normal." Then the parents will have to pull out the bible which the school says is not really the word of God. Then we will have a country full of test-tube babies and career-surrogate moms making money off of donating their eggs to the gay population, and men donating their sperm so lesbians can have their own biological children if they wish. (I know thats a stretch lol)

As a teacher, I long for the day when my students actually pay attention so carefully that they're using what we teach them in conversations with their parents.

They can't afford to remember the quadratic formula, but we're going to be able to rewrite their sexualities.

I'm skeptical.

True christians. that was all I could think about as I read all the post on here. How many people claim to be christian but really are not...It's a said sight to see the mess that is going on around the world. we should pray about this matter, instead of encourging it.

Dude ur sure arent christian...I wouldnt want my kids to think Homosexuality is normal
You can call me w/e you want. God still loves me and I still love Him. Nothing some freak on the internet writes can change what MY convictions are. Step off, homeboy.

Oh, and, my kids are gonna be taught ALL about other cultures. My girlfriend and I have talked about if we get married, what would we teach our kids. Racism, Anti-Semitism, Anti-Islamic-ism, and yes, homophobia, will all be banned from our house. And my fraternity brother and best friend (one person, both things) is gay and he's more than likely gonna be my kids' "uncle Dan."

And I googled this, and found nothing, except, one year ago, the Republicans in Florida wanted to bring more of the film industry into the state and made a bill to give tax credits to films being made here (that sounds pretty un-conservative to me) and they said no films with ANY gay characters would be allowed. Yes, it sure sounds like they wanna teach gay marriage to our kids, huh?

And... All high schools (at least in the non-backwards counties) already teach that gays are okay. Not in a class, not in a lesson plan, not in any course subject. But, when a gay kid is being bullied and a teacher stops it, that's teaching gays are okay. And when a kid is coming out and the kids are bashing him and the teacher stands up and says that she totally supports him, that's teaching it. And when a kid is having problems with his sexuality and sees the guidance/trust counselor at his school and he/she helps him, that's teaching it.

Wake up, dude. No one needs a bill to say they support gays. And I support my brother and his boyfriend. To the full extent.

Oh my God... That problem is everywhere! In sweden specialy. I hate it... It is normal, for example in the school. Boys walking, huging, kissing boys, girls same with girlsl. Everything is normal ( they think so). But I don't think so, and I absolutely don't agree that Homosexuality is normal. And I'm not gona keep quiet about it. God did't done like that. HE done woman and man that they would be family and would have kids. Why should we do something differently?
Okay... I done many many mistakes in the text, but I think that naw you can know my opinion. :D

God bless you

I agree that homosexuality is a sin, but will we get anywhere by being mean to homosexuals. Christians are supposed to love not only their friends and neighbors, but also their enemies. My cousin is a homosexual, and the entire family still supports and helps her. She knows that we find her views sinful, but shes human, and we're her family. The United States is a secular country whether we like it or not. Other western countries are WAY more liberal than us, and NYC is more liberal than Florida. How will we ever get people to convert to Christianity if we're constantly fighting and putting down others. Everyone, every single one of us has sinned, and will probably make more mistakes in the future. A Christian is someone who has accepted Christ as their savior, if someone has done that, then you have no right to say their not a Christian. The lord is the final judge, not you or any other person on this earth. Remember that love is an extremely important value in Christianity, so why not show it? God bless everyone here.
