Raising the dead is a work of the gospelthe power of God. We can plant the incorruptible seed by which all new creatures are born after and water that seed with the doctrines of God that fall from above like rain . But God alone can cause the growth if any .

They are the kind of unseen to the eye signs (Mark 14) that follow after hearing the gospel the power that works in us to both will and do His good pleasure. He informs to believe without murmuring.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

New tongues, The gospel. . . the tongue of God, prophecy.

Think inside the box, the context is while on earth, for Jesus says that he is going to the Father, and that he will send the Holy Spirit. These are not chronological facts that pertain to the afterlife. 'Going to the Father' means that he is not with us anymore, and 'sending the spirit and its manifestations' are gifts that are not necessary once in heaven (1 Cor 13:9).

The context is '...because I am going to the Father...' , meaning that he will not be on earth to perform miracles any more, as we understand miracles to be, physical or natural phenomena. This is the immediate context. I cannot understand this passage to mean that they will perform greater than him in the afterlife. For, obviously they won't outdo him while in heaven, for on what grounds can they, he is King of Kings in heaven,
and secondly, miracles aren't even required in heaven.
Words can't express, Adstar, how far out you are on this! You're wrong both in chronology and administration.
