Well tomorrow's going to be "interesting." Children's Christmas play tomorrow morning.
The last practice was last Sunday. Some of them still don't know all their lines. I cobbled together a cue sheet for starting and stopping the soundtrack, but I haven't had a practice to test it. We aren't going to get the stage put together until tonight, so the kids won't even get one practice in with the props in place. And we still have no idea where the microphones will be placed on stage. While they are speaking I'll be trying to remember which field microphone is closest to that quiet kid so people can actually hear him, and trying to remember to turn all the other over-amped microphones down so they won't make feedback.
Very "interesting" indeed. Maybe I'll call in sick. Can you call in sick at church?

You must have been reading my mind because that's exactly what I've been thinking myself.
Zero I was thinking about you the other day. I asked for the car to be detailed for my Christmas present this year and they cleaned from stem to stern. I mean they shampooed the upholstery, carpet and even cleaned under the hood. Pumped in air freshner throughout the air system to get out the awful cigarette smell (Tourist banned from smoking in the car). Our car looks and smells as shiny and new.
By the way you do belong here on CC as you bring friendship and I appreciate your participation. Just wish Tourist and I were closer to you as we would love to share a meal or grab a cup of coffee now and again... FL and CA are about as far away as you can get in the US sad to say. But we would if we could....
Well as a good friend once said to me long ago when I didn't want to go to the group event because I was too different, "We're the body of Christ. We need you and we're not complete without you."
I will add to that, that I think sometimes we need that parts that don't fit so well to poke and prod us into better shape and being more Christlike. Quite likely that part of the reason for church is because God knew left to our own devices we'd only associated with people like us and not with people who would challenge us so we could grow in him.

I had to give that up for various health reasons, one of them being the risk of getting skin cancer. You and Tourist are two of the reasons I'm still here.
