Cover up dude! You're hypocrisy is showin. You lead the league with 263 laugh at people icons!

On top of that, I think we know the reason you are so shaky on Biblical issues. You don't even know if you are saved or not!

From YOUR profile:
When saved - NOT SO SURE I AM, but, "pressing on", to the "High Calling" of God, In Christ Jesus: My advocate, and Kinsmen Redeemer, Unto EYAH ASHER EYAH.
That's correct! I don't KNOW I'm saved! I hope I am!
For I am not so willing to deceive myself, nor others, into the "Once saved, ALWAYS saved tradition of man."

And you would be so much better served, and of service should you also be so aware of the severity of God!

EDIT to add to my last post:

don't make a habit of reading one verse extracted from its context... for pulling out v.8 by itself, you are missing the point of what vv.5,6,9-10 are stating in relation TO that particular phrase in v.8! (i.e. don't miss THE POINT!)

God is my Heavenly Father. He loves me like a son. Ya know why? BECAUSE I AM ONE!

And just as I had a very healthy reverent fear of my earthly father who loved me and I loved him, knowing that if I stepped out of line he would discipline me, I have that much MORE reverent awe and healthy fear of my Heavenly Father, who will correct me, not toss me into Gehenna.

You should really KNOW you are saved. We are specifically told we should know in several places.
1 John 5:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may KNOW that you have eternal life, [a]and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Romans 8:16 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we ARE children of God,

I'm a little worried about ya buddy. Maybe you should consider that you are wrong, and simply receive Jesus and rest in Him and His finished work alone.

"Hope" as used in the NT epistles is NOT an "IFFY" thing, but a "SURE/CERTAIN" thing (and a PARTICULAR "sure/certain" thing).

Thus, that phrase there that you are pulling out of the 1Th5 context, is one of the TEN (or so) ways [phrases / words] Paul uses when he speaks of/refers to "our Rapture" EVENT (in these 2 epistles to the Thessalonians):

[of the LIST of TEN mentions/referrals to this "EVENT" ("our Rapture"), in those two epistles]

--"[and for an helmet (i.e. "understand this")] the hope of salvation" (not a "wishful-thinking, hoping for a maybe-salvation, as we use the word "hope" in our modern-day language)

"salvation," as used in these two Thessalonians epistles, is an "eschatological salvation," per context.
Wow!
Talk about "pretzel interpretations."

Is there some reason you have an aversion to reading and commenting on what v.10 stated (alongside its v.9 earlier part of the sentence, and in view of what v.6 [using the same two words] says)??

It seems to me you do (have an aversion to it :D )

Talk about a "holey" Bible... by the time they "cut out to hang up their ONE VERSE" onto their bathroom mirror [alongside their "40 Verses!"], the resulting context is definitely left HOLEY'd!!

When we all awake from our slumber of death at the return of Christ the wise and the unwise virgins will be revealed.
What are you identifying as "our slumber of death [at...]"?? (that we are to "awake from" at that time, according to your viewpoint)?

Aye! As I also worry concerning you and others like you, who have not heeded Paul's warning to Timothy, concerning vain and profane pursuits. Which lead to more ungodliness.

But, rather spend endless hours and miles of text, in the justifications of staying "milk fed."

As well as never moving beyond the Principle doctrines of Christ towards spiritual maturity.

Sure you don't have any more "EDITS" after more then a reasonable amount of time has expired, to change what it is yer attempting to express?

Or is, you find that tactic, to some bemusement in the stroking of your ego?

IOW? If you can't get out what you wanna say the FIRST time?
And must depend on whom you are discussing a matter with in one's going back to your edit, whereas you can "squirm out" in negating that which you originally posted, by some later "edit?"
Perhaps you should think longer and post lesster! ;)

Sorry bud! I AIN'T yer huckleberry! :(

I'm not sure what you're getting at, but I've repeatedly stated here on CC that I am the SLOWEST TYPIST *IN THE WORLD* and even SLOWER at EDITING (of which my typing and grammar mistakes, as well as "making entire points [the full thought I'd hoped to express] needing "editing" are ABUNDANT, and I'm always TOO SLOW for "the 5-min EDIT" time, at this place! My sincerest apologies, for that :) )

I guess you don't have any thoughts on what v.10 is saying to/for/about the Church which is His body (which every MEMBER of can *KNOW* for CERTAIN they are a part!).

The above verses have the same meaning as:

And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ Acts2:21

Many people misunderstand. Some pronounce J-E-S-U-S when faced with danger and many pronounce J-E-S-U-S, sit back and say they are eternally saved.

We should be careful on how we hear. He gives us new ears to do so.

If not once saved always saved .Then how many times does it take to save a person? Is one demonstration enough ? Or must be done again and again as a open shame to the world that Christ could not finish the good work he began in us?

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.Hebrews 6: 6

My advice

1. remove the Greek and Hebrew references- most of your audience don't know Greek and those that know don't care because English works just fine

2. Limit your references . One reference is enough per post. Much references doesn't enhance the meaning of your post if plain message didn't make any sense

3. Keep it simple. Your original thoughts should be understood as you meant them to be without any editing. Even if you make minor clerical mistakes, people will know because of the general direction the rest of the text is point at.

4. Do not try to perfect your language, people will still understand what you are saying especially if it is precise

Can’t move beyond principle doctrines if you aren’t saved to begin with.
Are you a saved born again Child of God or not?

mr. bear thinks one has to keep the Sabbath to be saved, and that 1st Enoch should be in the Bible.

tells you all to need to know the mindset you are dealing with.....

1. remove the Greek and Hebrew references- most of your audience don't know Greek and those that know don't care because English works just fine
That's all well and good sometimes, but then you would miss (as most ppl do) the distinct meanings of the two different "WITH" words I endeavored to point out (and where they are used, specifically, for each of the distinct contexts being discussed): "WITH [G3326 - ACCOMPANYING]" (re: the 10 Virgins [or 5, rather]) versus the "WITH [G4862 - UNION-with]" (used of "the Church WHICH IS HIS BODY" / US!). Most ppl totally miss that, because they say, to some other parts of the body, "I have NO NEED OF *YOU*!"

Amill-teachings, for example, miss a very important point involving two distinct words for "THEN" (one meaning more like, "then immediately [/or consequently]" whereas the other means more like "then SEQUENTIALLY [with NO reference to "TIME" attached to it]"... therefore, they MISCONSTRUE what 1Cor15:24 is actually conveying, and have it sayin something IT DOES NOT.

So, I'm just saying that at times, it makes a MASSIVE *IMPACT* to know which Greek word is being used, in any given context.

Thank you for the tips, though. I will (and always try to) take them to heart. I do realize my "speech" is crude, by others' standards (and ways of typing/conveying thought on here).

Not it at all! Tis about moving beyond the "Principle doctrines of Christ", and spiritually sacrificing "things" "acceptable to God BY Jesus Christ!

Ya think it's about being saved?
It ain't!
It's about what efforts it takes to keep from "believing a lie!"
It's about what efforts it takes to keep oneself from being "cut off."
It's about what effort/s to do so Jesus doesn't reject one!
Spiritual maturity is not "given!"
It takes EFFORT/S!
Spiritual maturity is a "progressive process." (God's consuming fire)
If yer not moving forward?
Yer moving backwards! (becoming stagnant)

Very sad indeed. He TELLS us on his profile page he doesn't know if he is saved or not.
