This is for those on CC who choose to deny sound doctrine of Jesus Christ; If you quit denying sound doctrine of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God might graft you in again.

Romans 11:23
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

FYI... not likely any of us will convert to Roman Catholicism as a matter a fact many of us have left that evil institution.

Instead of asking me what the sound doctrine of Jesus Christ is, you actually have to believe the sound doctrine of Jesus Christ.

You are just too silly for words.. I DO believe the sound doctrine of Jesus, AKA the bible.. :)

But since you can't tell us what YOUR sound doctrine is, methinks you really don't know Jesus or His word AT ALL..

You didn’t answer the question, pussycat.
Translation: you don’t know the answer because you don’t understand that we are saved by grace through faith. And it’s beautiful.

YO, don't call the troll by that nickname.. It's an insult to pussycats.. LOL

Always resisting the Holy Spirit. Arguing with the Word of God. But I love to testify to the grace of God and to give glory to Jesus Christ for what He has done! Praise the Lord![/QUOTE]

Psalm 7:11-14 (NASB)
11 God is a righteous judge, And a God who has indignation every day.
12 If a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready.
13 He has also prepared for Himself deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts.
14 Behold, he travails with wickedness, And he conceives mischief and brings forth falsehood.

NOW are you going to argue with these WORDS of GOD?

Romans 4:4-5 (NASB)
4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due.
5 But to the one who does not work [for his Salvation], but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been 🖜 justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

1 John 3:14-19 (NASB)
14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.
15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
18 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
19 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

John 10:27-28 (HCSB)
27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever!
No one will snatch them out of My hand.

[11] That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. [12] But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth: [13] Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. [14] Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. [15] Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope in grace,

I don't know what they teach, or even why what they teach matters in our non-RCC church, but you obviously were never taught in RCC that you are completely secure as long as you are believing in Christ and so have no reason to fear. But at the same time a healthy dose of holy fear keeps you in that secure place of believing in Christ.

It's like hanging onto a guard rail overhanging a cliff. You don't fear falling because the guard rail is there. But you're holding onto the railing because you don't want to fall. Get it?

Honestly, I don't think you have to harp on what the Catholics think and believe. That's a whole other world of beliefs that don't concern us. We are what we are, and they are what they are. Our discussion should stay within the boundaries of what we are, not what they are. I don't care about Catholicism. Few of us non-RCC do. We don't need to bring them into our discussions because some among us may have a faint resemblance to them regarding works.
All works dogma, the false gospel is related to the Roman Church

If one believes salvation is not secure ...then you uphold Roman dogma.

[26] For if we sin wilfully after having the knowledge of the truth, there is now left no sacrifice for sins, [27] But a certain dreadful expectation of judgment, and the rage of a fire which shall consume the adversaries. [28] A man making void the law of Moses, dieth without any mercy under two or three witnesses: [29] How much more, do you think he deserveth worse punishments, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath esteemed the blood of the testament unclean, by which he was sanctified, and hath offered an affront to the Spirit of grace? [30] For we know him that hath said: Vengeance belongeth to me, and I will repay. And again: The Lord shall judge his people.

In Hebrews 10:26, To "sin willfully" in the Greek carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual, which stems from deliberately rejecting Christ. This is continuous, a matter of practice. Now we don't walk along our daily life and accidentally fall into a pit called sin. We exercise our will but, the use of the participle clearly shows continuous, willful action. The unrighteous practice sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21); not the righteous, who are born of God (1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 John 3:9). *You need to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine.*

If the word 'sanctified' in Hebrews 10:29 is used to describe saved people who lost their salvation as you obviously teach, then we have a contradiction because the writer of Hebrews in verse 10 said, "sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (Hebrews 10:10) and in verse 14, we read, "perfected for all time those who are sanctified." (Hebrews 10:14)

*NOWHERE in the context does it specifically say the person who "trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant" was "saved" and/or "lost their salvation." The reference to "the blood of the covenant that sanctified him" in verse 29 "on the surface" appears to be referring to a Christian, but this would overlook the fact that the word translated "sanctified" which is the verb form of the adjective "holy," which means "set apart," and doesn't necessarily refer to salvation.

*In 1 Corinthians 7:14, Paul uses it to specifically refer to non-Christians who are "sanctified" or "set apart" by their believing spouse. (And by this Paul does not mean that the unbelieving spouse is saved because of the believing spouse). A non-Christian can be "set apart" from other non-Christians without experiencing salvation as Paul explained.

Strong's Concordance
hagiazó: to make holy, consecrate, sanctify
Original Word: ἁγιάζω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: hagiazó
Phonetic Spelling: (hag-ee-ad'-zo)
Definition: to make holy, consecrate, sanctify
Usage: I make holy, treat as holy, set apart as holy, sanctify, hallow, purify. - https://biblehub.com/greek/37.htm

So the word "sanctified" means to be "set apart." If you give the word "sanctified" a broad brushed definition of "saved," then you would have to say that the 7th day was saved (Genesis 2:3), the tabernacle was saved (Exodus 29:43), the Lord was saved (Leviticus 10:3), the Father saved the Son (John 10:36) and many other things which would not line up with scripture.

In verse 39, the writer of Hebrews sets up the CONTRAST that makes it clear to me that he was referring to unbelievers, not saved people: But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Those who draw back to perdition do not believe to the saving of the soul and those who believe to the saving of the soul do not draw back to perdition.

So after considering the CONTEXT, it would seem most likely that "he was sanctified" should be understood in the sense of someone who had been "set apart" or identified as a participant in the Hebrew Christian community of believers, but then renounces his identification with those who are Hebrews believers, by rejecting the "knowledge of the truth" that he had received, and trampling under foot the work and the person of Christ himself, which gives evidence that his identification with the Hebrew community of believers was superficial and that he was not a genuine believer.
