Read the Psalms, Nathan did not convict David....he was convicted by God long before Nathan was sent to him.... ;)
I was thinking about this.... powerful truth it is... this was one of the first Psalms I read as a new believer

“Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight” (Psalm 51:4).

I don't........only one message for unbelievers.....salvation....anything beyond that and even that message cannot be grasped, discerned or known as per the Corinthian letter.
This thread is absolute proof as well... all the refutation of false doctrine of "works" and "salvation can be lost" and they cannot see it...agree!!

This brings me such joy I had to bump it up again.... I might spam the thread with this ...hahaha

I absolutely convinced like the book of Hebrews must be read from the vantage point of the writer who has believers in mind!

@dcontroversal quote...

My view on the Galatian letter....

The letter was written the the Churches in GALATIA......LOST men are not identified with the LORD'S churches

GRACE is a POSITION believers are PLACED INTO (Romans 5, Ephesians 2)

BELIEVERS that attempt to mix law and faith or go back to law over faith are wilfully removing themselves from the POSITIONING of GRACE and in SO DOING place themselves in a position that is not profitable and or a position that deems judgement over grace.

YES, the LORD'S churches have tares, BUT NO WHERE does GOD address CHURCH letters to LOST MEN.....LOST MEN have NO ABILITY to grasp, know, understand, discern TRUTH on any level....NOT even the message of salvation.

THEY MUST be saved to GRASP, DISCERN and APPLY the word of GOD in these CHURCH letters.

Unto the CHURCHES of GALATIA 1:2
Called YOU into the GRACE of CHRIST 1:6
SOME would trouble YOU 1:7
Called BRETHERN 1:11
They had received the SPIRIT 3:2
They have begun in the Spirit 3:3
They had suffered for Christ 3:4
They had a minister 3:5
Called brethern again 3:15
CALLED the CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH 3:26
Identified as Abraham's seed and heirs 3:29, 4:1
Called SONS of GOD 4:6
They KNOW GOD and KNOWN of GOD 4:9
Called brethern again 4:12
Called MY little children 4:19
WE, brethern are the CHILDREN of PROMISE 4:28
Called brethern and children of the free 4:31
Told to stand fast in the FREEDOM CHRIST has given them 5:1
They were HINDERED in the race by accepting false doctrine 5:7
Called brethern over and over
Brethern GRACE be with YOU last verse

Paul is not addressing lost men, but rather saved men that have fallen hook, line and sinker for a false dogma of faith mixed with law...he is NOT addressing salvation.

Nathan explained the sin and consequences, and at this point David said he had sinned against God.

The point is, the chastisement for David's sin came a long time after the sin was committed. God did not deal with him straight away, He allowed David to do what was in his heart. The point I was making is that God disciplined David but he did not lose his salvation despite his actions being so wicked. There were terrible consequences as discipline, which reinforces the understanding of not losing our salvation but nevertheless suffering loss as there are consequences to how we live before God on this earth.

Yet they can understand the gospel with the Hs help

if not no one could be saved

pauls letter was fighting a mix of grace and works, the message was to unbelievers (you who attempt to be justified by faith) who had yet made a decision to warn them to make the right one. Before they totally went back at which time they will never repent

He never went to hell, he went into the world, and found when he went there how the world failed him,

your way of interpreting scripture is odd my friend. I do not know who taught you, but you should try to study more with an open heart and mind.
Hell is to be absent from the Father. Jesus was in Hell when the Father deserted him.

If any pastor, teacher, author, or anyone does not think there are unbelievers who have yet to make their decision to, fully trust Christ, they are in danger of letting people Slip away.

that includes authors of gods word

the gospel message is intertwined in a lot of gods word in almost every book of the Bible, including warnings to those who are in the churches who are bystanders not blood born children.

Was it not you who complained about someone’s remarks earlier?

your right though,I am not one of YOU!

i repented
i called out for gods mercy because I knew my situation
i trust him daily to sanctify me, chasten me when I am out of line, and lead me in the paths of righteousness
and I trust him to keep his promise

I am not one of you, and have no desire to be one of you, eternity is far to long to chance it based on my works. I trust gods work.
just a reminder PS doesnt believe in the God of the Bible. he is a heretic who believes that israelites followed a false god in the o.t. when they were commanded to eliminate the canaanites. he doesnt mind contradicting his belief by saying the ten commandments are obviously from God, but turns around and says YAHWEH is a false god. this guy is so delusional he even said "its mostly LORD in the o.t. not Yahweh" he doesnt even understand LORD is translated to english from Yahweh. LORD God = Yahweh Elohim

this guy PS will never understand anything spiritual because he doesnt believe in God. so talking with him about anything other than making him stop his idolatry and find the real God of the bible will not work. he just wont get any spiritual truths. go read "is God a moral monster" thread where PS and his friend dibby are disrespecting God out in the open no shame whatsoever cracking jokes about the Lord.

Yes but ... these Jews had heard the Gospel... people just show up at church... one must understand the terrible persecution that these Jews would have been under.

David remained faithful to our loving, forgiving Father. Had David renounced God, there would be no coming back, but he did not.

I feel people either do not understand, or their beliefs do not allow them to admit apostasy is possible. Sad to say if it were impossible, believers would not be warned about the condition, neither would there be a word to describe it.

But you can try to finish in the flesh what was begun in the Spirit.... even a believer can fall into the wrong thinking they have to keep the Sabbath even today.... if you are told it enough you can become convinced... especially someone new in Christ.

more trash doctrine from you. heretic!
1Pe 3:18-20 Jesus preaching to the wicked while in the tomb
(18) For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
(19) by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,
(20) who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
