Point being.....even the message of salvation is hidden unless revealed by God, and anything beyond salvation is impossible for a lost man to grasp on a spirotually discerned level unless saved first....Corinthians makes this crystal clear.
I agree amen

galations is about the gospel Vs a false gospel

thats the point

it even corinthians and James has the gospel in them

It is about believers getting entangled in wrong ideas.... instruction in the faith, so that they understand the new covenant.

The question is, "is the choice to accept or reject life predetermined for you by God's purposeful design?"

Calvin says, 'yes'.

And so it is in that way that he says God has purposely pre-programmed and created some to believe and be saved, and some he has purposely pre-programmed and created to not believe and be lost......and there's nothing you can do about it.

What a horrible, meaningless gospel.
You are correct, except no one is pre programmed not to believe. Calvin taught that no one would believe without irresistable grace

I don’t go that far. I believe no one would believe without prevenient drawing grace, which can be resisted.

I agree that he was taught lies about Calvinism, but he wants to repeat those lies, because they FEED HIS PREJUDICED ideas about Calvinism. How sick is that.
I used to believe lies about Calvinists until I read books by Calvinists. I am still not in agreement with them on some points, but I did learn that what I thought/had been told about Calvinists was misinformed

We do not lose faith because god never fails us,

also, we realise when we work apart from god we fail

only those who never felt god work as a father could not understand this fact.
I will say I went through many stages of learning throughout my walk. I believe that there are believers here that have blind spots in their theology, myself included. As we all grow, as I grow, God will reveal what I/we are otherwise minded about. It’s a process of Grace

Here are some THOUGHTS about the REALITY OSAS.

QOUTE:
“…and they shall never perish….” (John 10:28)

Can you unfry an egg? Then, after being saved–genuinely forgiven and accepted and transformed by the Holy Spirit of God into something far different from what you were, more than any hen’s egg ever dreamed possible–you cannot undo it.

Once saved, always saved.

To say otherwise, and to preach it, might be something akin to insulting the Holy Spirit.

It might be. Certainly, it’s worth giving this some serious thought.

Ephesians 1:13 – Believers were “sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise.” If that’s not eternal security, it’s nothing. He has literally made believers “tamper-proof.” How good is that!

https://www.crosswalk.com/blogs/joe-mckeever/7-questions-about-once-saved-always-saved.html END QUOTE:

Hebrews 9:11-12 (NASB)
11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation;
12 and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Hebrews 9:15 (NASB)
15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 9:26 (NASB)
26 Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Hebrews 10:10 (NASB)
10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:19-23 (NASB)
19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

Hebrews 10:29 (NASB)
29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

He does not understand grace believers and what they believe at all
I have a higher view of him, brother. From reading his posts, he seems to genuinely trust and love the Lord. He believes that we are saved by Grace and kept by the power of God through faith. That is enough for me to call him “brother”

It may not be deliberate. There is a lot of pendulum effect and backlash that causes people of different persuasions to misunderstand each other. Often, the differences are made into mountains and the common ground is treated like molehills. Most, including myself, can be prone to this, if we are not cautious

It may be unknowingly. There is a lot of misinformation out there. I used to think OSAS was “sin all you want” lawlessness, because that’s what nosas told me. Until I met some and read some and I found out that wasn’t the case.
Exactly, and this person has been shown the error in his thinking multiple times... and if is "returnee" which is entirely possible given the very similar expressive language and doctrine he has been shown more than several times.....

How are we to regard someone who refutes sound doctrine on a very essential doctrine?

I have not read all of his replies. What has he said that is so damning?

Earning our salvation..... i. e. we are worthy of salvation through ongoing belief... what can be worse then that... completely nullifying the work of the cross.

Thereby denying salvation is a gift.

I don’t think his views are that far removed from John and Charles Wesley. This issue of eternal security is so divisive, but I believe there are genuine Christians on both sides. This will probably lead to my discredit among many, but that is what I believe

If he said we earn our salvation, that is serious error. If he said we can ever be worthy of salvation that is very serious.
I didn’t read anything like that, but like I said, I haven’t read all of his posts

That is right.
And even they don't have to keep the old law of days, and seasons, and years.

Hahahaha... reading Ralph' old posts he often stated ":unsure:That is right"

I knew that would crop up in your written expression again. :D

If we believe OSAS then we have to stand by it... that is my view..... not personal.

You see always very cleverly worded... Salvation comes to us as a gift all at once, by grace through faith a one time event. Period
Not this I must keep believing or I loose my salvation.

Which really put the onus of responsibility on us to stayed saved
... which is a subtle doctrine of back door works.

I agree.....salvation is not earned by works. I'm certainly not here to defend those misguided doctrines. Salvation is by the faith that continues to the very end. The works are just the footsteps in the sand of that continuing faith. Just as Abraham's footsteps were the footsteps of his faith...
