Hello GMO :) Are you saying the text of Scripture has been changed in this book you have, to make everything rhyme?

This is something for an antique book dealer to evaluate. You might be able to find out more from a google search for this particular edition. Someone bent over backwards to translate into a rhyming form.

Do a search for an antique Bible expert and send him your photos online. You have an owner's name as well that could be researched.

You only put up one page, but I suspect this may be a hymnal as opposed to a Bible. The page you put up, I googled:
Behold the glories of the Lamb

It appears to be a hymn, and the scriptural references I would assume were to point to which passages the hymn is based upon:

I think this is for a Catholic liturgical service. Maybe some online Catholic can tell you.

I think what you may have is a copy of Scottish paraphrases scriptural hymns/songs around the mid 1800’s.

I think at some point people enjoyed singing scripture rather than speaking in normal tone, and I suspect a book was written with the hymns seems it was revised a few times in the earlier century’s.

But there’s no doubt as to what it is, one of the pictures you posted mentions paraphrases at the top is a clue.
