i must admit, in am surprised and impressed that you actually threw out a merry Christmas wish, and not railed on the pagan traditions.

same to you also.
Yeah?....(to my shame) There are yet some "traditions of men, and false prophet doctrines", that God, and Jesus, and I, are "working" :)eek:) on!

But, unlike "blinded and binded" OSAS'ers? I choose to "war" against them, as opposed to "loving" them in the "hopes" they'll see the error of their ways, turn, and be healed!

Cuz, if you "embrace" the Bible, as a whole? You'll notice that the "serpent, dragon, satan, lucifer, spirit of anti-christ?", as well, as "other monikers" have never ceased from their efforts, in drawing God's children away from Him!
Upon one's like those I just listed? Is no way, nor any amount of love, EVER going to turn them! Yet, the "clear and past/present danger", to God, and now Jesus? Is that "they" are going to, and have? Turned God's Children away from God, and, in these last days? Jesus of Nazareth.

Because? That's what the "prince of this world (age)" does!
It's what he's ALWAYS done! IRREGARDLESS of (which) "age!"

No. Not all osas people agree with Calvinism.
This is true, many are very very much against it. Especially most of the independent fundamental baptist folks, the KJV kind.

I still do find it FUNNY because the KJV was translated by CALVINISTS. So yeah.. BUT HEY it is what it is.

To be honest, it did not take any effort at all for me to believe when I was raised from spiritual death. And it does not take effort for me to believe now. I just believe because I know whom I have believed
Good! You keep believing that, as you keep "pressing on" to the High calling of God, in Christ!
"For all things work for good (even if it doesn't look good in your own understanding), for those who love God, and are called according to His purpose. (y)(y)

back to debunking judeaizer lies, like gentile Christ followers are supposed to be keeping the Sabbath, and lies like Jesus rose on the Sabbath, and telling truths like gentiles were and are never under the Law.

False ....wrong and an ignorant statement.....shame on those that agree.

You malign and slander someone who earnestly contends for the truth.

I know why you do this....because you have tremdous difficulty accepting the Gospel where there is no self.

Believe me sir I have tempered my language significantly so as to not be banned....but I find your words absolutely appalling and insulting to @dcontroversal and all of us who uphold the correct, true Gospel.

You peddle...... we uphold....big difference!
When you show the same disdain towards DCon for calling everybody CLOWNS and various other names, then, perhaps, your words would carry more weight. But you don't which is hypocrisy. Instead your comments are just an alignment to those who hold the same worldview as you do. There is nothing personal, and I don't have anything against anybody here. We are having debates. We are all the church building up the spiritual house. Change is never easy.

You do know that there is a chapter 6 in Romans which comes after chapter 5.....

Romans 5
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6 (the very next verse)
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
That's what gets me!
These OSAS'ers, claiming to be "of" or are "the body of Christ", don't/won't (or can't) recognize "other" parts of the "body of Christ!"

As there certainly is an intolerance in their thoughts, and posts!
A "certain" "cultic fascist fanaticism" within the OSAS'er camp!
Which is CERTAINLY "Christlike!"....NOT!!!!!

"let's just "ignore" those parts, and passages (cherry pick), which "offend", so that it may "appeal" MORE to the masses!"
"let us make the hearts of the righteous sad, and strengthen the hands of the wicked by PROMISING them LIFE ETERNAL!"
Not ever, or even realizing, that by doing so? Their "roots" never become "strong", nor "deep" enough in "standing" against the "wicked one/s!"

Im not gonna go back and read the billion pages of discussion yall had AINT NOBODY got time for that. Ima just let you know that Dcon is a solid cat, he is a military guy they are rough around the edges. Much like me, i come from a different kind of background tho, the mean streets. Its like my homie Wes when he got out of prison from a level 4 yard, (strict politics in there); everyone told him MAN YOU'RE TOO INTENSE. It makes people uncomfortable, gotta cut down on the intensity! I've recently tried to just let it go when people say something WILD to me, its hard but by God's grace WE WORKIN ON IT

But what I will say is this: im of the opinion that SOME doctrinal debates are a SELF-INFLICTED wound of Christianity. Its just something to debate when in reality its all just theoretical theobabble. (Dont get me wrong, i love me some theology debates, im a FREAK, to me those are entertaining)

I always say when the baptism debate comes up that this is a self-inflicted wound of christianity, where we debate if one needs to be baptized to be saved when ALL OF IT could be avoided by simply just doing what the CHURCH did in the book of Acts, BAPTIZE FOLKS STRAIGHT AWAY, no need for this nonsense of weeks of waiting and going thru job applications to get baptized. But since we dont do that, we have to waste time debating about NOTHING that could be fixed by simple biblical evangelism.

Much like here: No need to worry if you are truly saved, truly elect, or if you lost your salvation(if youre in that camp) or ANY OF THAT if you just LIVED RIGHT to the best of your abilities. But as we all know, EXCUSES we all got em. This is also because in the western world we dont get persecuted like they did in the early church, so we got a bunch of folks identify as Christians who dont know nothing about nothing and are just "in the books" as Christians. Back in the days false claiming christianity came with consequences!

IOW: If folks just LIVED RIGHT, this debate would be absolutely meaningless. But since WE DONT, it comes up. I had a guy tell me if he can be saved while still a drunkard I told him you done lost the battle already. You dont even wanna quit drinking. He told me he did i said then you woulda quit already and I asked if he wanted to join the program. He said i'll join next week I said NO, you start NOW or you dont at all. The man DID that actually, and stuck with it, we talk DAILY, thats a true warrior there. He today agrees with me, and thats the problem, this man done went to the salvation army meetings, the pentecostal church meetings, the methodist, this man been everywhere and they all just said "PRAY ABOUT IT, I'll pray for you". Well surprise surprise, nothing ever came of it, because God didnt say PRAY ABOUT IT, God said STOP doing whatever it is you are doing, not to pray about it.

All this obviously is not me preaching WORKS SALVATION, but sanctifying believers is what we're talking about here. If our SANCTIFICATION was on POINT, we would not be talking about JUSTIFICATION so much. Thats the truth!

Why does the person who is saved, and who's salvation can not be undone, have to die so he can be saved when Jesus comes back?????
Because everybody that dies before the rapture has to wait for the resurrection, we don't go straight to heaven. That's what the dead in Christ or asleep in Christ means.

Well it's a matter of maturity you see. Just like infants the newly saved need to be milk fed and as they mature sort of graduate to the meat. Some never grow up. I didn't believe in hell when I was first saved. It didn't make sense to my immature mind that an all loving, all forgiving God would make such a place but as I matured I came to realize it was devised for the Devil and the fallen angels and later as I became aware of the corruption and intentional preaching of false
gospels intended to tickle ears and pick the pockets of the foolish or immature like the name it and claim it/ prosperity doctrine gang does.

Many can't fathom Salvation is finished upon the circumcision of the heart and turn from grace back to the obsolete law, place their salvation in jeopardy also. I believe in hell now and it took 40 years for me to get this far.

I'm not so sure about that Hevosmies,

Although it may not be so "grotesquely obvious", "to the flesh", as "beheading?"

It is just as "abhorrent", at the "intellectual, and spiritual" levels, as any "beheading!"

If you can "behead" a believer, by causing ones "spiritual roots" to cease from growing deeper? By peddling a "false OSAS "Paulene gospel?" In boasting against the branches?

The "victory" for the "adversary", is the same!

Except, God and Jesus of Nazareth, are the ones' doing the "cutting off!"

Just as He DID with Israel!

It's CALLED, "UNBELIEF!"

Why on earth would I ever show disdain towards someone who preaches the accurate, true, spiritually saving, grace based, God honoring Bible based Gospel?

A clown is false, fake, this reflects your Gospel that is what we are trying to tell you by our language.

But let me be absolutely clear.... no one who preaches the Gospel of Grace which it IS...salvation by grace...does not want sin and grace as you accuse.

The real problem is that think you have something to add to salvation....you infuse law and works ....which could never save clearly stated in scripture...so tell me what is the false clownish gospel.

Well many misunderstand that being a Christian isn't a club. The criminal on the cross wasn't a Christian but he got saved by grace through faith. Christians are followers of Christ who allow themselves to be transformed and in our meager ways try to become doers of the word and divorce ourselves from the ways of the world, the flesh and the devil.

Political polls can't be trusted they count LDS, JW's, Christian Scientists and Catholics, as Christians but they may or may not be saved because some are taught sacramental salvation but hear bit's and pieces of the word, if they pay attention. I'm sure the true number of born agian Christians is far lower than polls indicate. However hnever underestimate the power of Jesus through reading or hearing the word.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

You're missing it.
The passage is saying this person is to be turned over to satan for the destruction of the flesh so their spirit may/might be saved when Jesus comes back.

"...deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." - 1 Corinthians 5:5

But why does that have to happen to him if he is already saved and can't lose that salvation? Not only that, the verb 'may be saved' is in the Subjunctive mood which means this:

"Is the mood of possibility and potentiality. The action described may or may not occur, depending upon circumstances."
https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/1co/5/1/t_conc_1067005

So, not only does he have to be turned over to satan to be saved when Jesus comes back, it's not certain that doing that will work! Yet, once saved always saved says 1) this person can't lose his salvation in the first place, and 2) even though the saved person may fall they will come back and will remain saved no matter what. Once saved always saved loses on both counts in this one verse alone.
