You shouldn't assume the mantle of a teacher. You don't make the grade. And I am being sincere here. A teacher will be judged more harshly.

I never once stated I was a teacher....but we are all called to preach the Gospel I believe

And I trust @dcontroversal, @eternally-gratefull, @mailmandan and @Lightskin ... so they can tell me to stop not you.

And you make think you have hurt my feelings but you have not... you have actually demonstrated you have no response to belief and the object of our belief....... Christ Jesus...... who promises and gives the gift of eternal life, completely apart from any and all works to those who believe/trust in Him for it.

oh yeah well here is one more thing..

Assurance is the essence of faith.

This is true by definition because faith, as Hebrews 11:1 states, the state of being certain that a thing is true.

Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence of things not seen.

Believing that Jesus will give eternal life necessarily entails being certain of that fact.
No certainty = no faith.

Yeah think on that too..
Okay done... I rather go shovel the snow.

What he is spewing is not of God.......Paul was fully persuaded and KNEW that JESUS would never cast him away...HE also understood that JESUS would finish and complete the work of faith...to peddle what Ralph A.K.A. Judges is peddling is to call Christ, Paul and the bible a lie...it is of the devil!
I believe Discern said that continual belief is necessary. So on that front we have unity.
My view of continual faith is the same as DControversal (post 120,229 last sentence in post )

Continual faith as stated by eternally Grateful, in 119,241 first sentence, and DControversal in 120,229..., by that definition, yes.
Oh my word.....I'm asking YOU. Do you believe in Continuing Belief? It's not politics.
In simple terms do you HAVE TO CONTINUE BELIEVING IN CHRIST TO OBTAIN SALVATION? Y/N

I said yes, AS PROPERLY defined. I am not as good with words as MailmanDan. His definition is spot on.

since you do not wish to discuss Scripture ( you have bolted from covo with me multiple times), I will answer your question.

Don't trust some else's definition. You must be certain. You must be able to articulate it, no? No fancy words needed.

So then you believe salvation can be lost?
Have you not read my posts? Have you not read DControversals posts? Have you not read Eternally Grateful’s posts? Or MailmanDan’s posts? We all say essentially the same thing, the four of us

People are trying to conquer by dividing us.

Eternally Grateful doesn't believe that continuing to believe is required. Because according to him you would then continue to thirst again (Post 117,993). So no, you don't all agree.

I could care less about what anyone says....

JESUS BEGINS, Finishes AND COMPLETES the work of faith in us.

ANY and ALL gospels that state we can lose faith to the point of LOSING salvation absolutely, 100% DENIES the above verse and makes JESUS into a LYING INEPT clown that cannot keep his word.

ONCE he DEALS faith as a GIFT in MEASURE and it is received and taken hold of by acknowledging JESUS as the Savior and sacrifice for SINS it is a done DEAL....HE WILL, NOT MIGHT, but rather WILL finish and complete it in US.....

and the bible also answer these fools and clowns that say we can walk away, lose faith and lose salvation....

IF we BECOME FAITHLESS, HE abides FAITHFUL because HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF..... <---THE APOSTLE includes HIMSELF in this EQUATION and FAITHLESS is FAITHLESS regardless how one spins it....

THESE jokers that say WE must maintain it or lose salvation absolutely DENY JESUS and the word of GOD by their stance
