"If anyone would come after Me, he must deny his soul(what he wants, thinks and feels), take up his cross(where his will and God's will cross) and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life/soul will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole word, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what he has done."

I die daily. A covenant is in effect only when men are dead.
Wow, you lay a heavier burden than that of the Pharisees I think.

When will you realize that salvation is not a bilateral agreement.... basically you should go live in a monastery and maybe add in some self flagellation for good measure until you have that physical cross built.

You know it is a message of good news...Gospel!!!

On some level I feel sorry for you...yet I pray you are hampered daily from preaching this very false dogma.

If only you understood your failed, heretical attempts at unnecessarily trying to maintain salvation then you would stop poisoning the minds of our 2,000 guests.
Do you think by showing the fruit of the Spirit we show the witness of Jesus in our hearts or not?

Galatians 5:22-24
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

I hope members see this as a place of praise to Gods glory and not a place of conflict.
The bigger test is even when unbelievers are present still our witness burns strong.

Acts 16:23-25
After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.
Upon receiving such orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

Of course you QUOTE scripture ...that is the whole problem.

How many cults use scripture and the words of Jesus.....the real tragedy that His truth is being completely misunderstood and blatantly misused.

He’s not smart enough to know that but he proclaims to be smart enough to say we who embrace the fullness of Jesus Christ’s grace are in error. You can’t make this stuff up, Eleven.
I know.... they nullify the cross and make it of no effect......it takes a lot of stamina to continually read their slander against Jesus and His grace.

I'm not leaving any out or nullifying any - that is the difference.

"I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him, who after killing the body, has the power to throw in to Hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him." - Jesus Christ the Lord

But you have no need for the fear of the Lord through your false doctrines. Those who taught you took away this "key to knowledge." But you will eventually know "the terror of the Lord."

I am thinking where did I ever create a post against the Holy fear of God?
Maybe you can find it for me?

This sounds very judgemental. Is it you might not understand how and why people believe differently to you?
"slander against Jesus and His grace" is a very strong statement.

Do you think people with a humble heart, and giving nature, repentant and serving are doing what you describe?

Heb 10:24
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

Are you walking in darkness? If so, you are not in the light, and Jesus' shed blood is of no effect for you.
i notice pattern that everyone who believes in a non-losable salvation of any type is always implied that they walk in darkness, sin as they please, have no fear of God, dont strive for holiness or whatever it is.

its always implied. rarely said directly.

Whew! Now we can all sleep better tonight.

Well? Here's a little something else you can put under yer pillow!

In the "time to come?" You'll be "seeing" me again!

Only "this" time? I'll be carrying a "rod of iron" with me!

Sweet dreams cupcake! :)

There are connections here.

John 3:19-21
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Anyone who defends sinful behaviour without repentance and seeking forgiveness is in darkness.
It is irrespective of their view on security or not.

Sure, it’s not hard to find nominal Christians on this forum and other Christian forums and God’s warnings are applicable for them.
Do you think so?

I'm not so sure.

I think of a nominal Christian as one who thinks culturally they are or one who goes to church but are pew pushers. No interest in a personal relationship with Jesus and trusting him for salvation for the forgiveness of sins through his death and resurrection and confess him as Lord.

That's different from those who seek Jesus to be like Jesus even if their doctrine is incorrect.

So if my assumption of the nominal is correct I cant see why they would come here.

There is only one truth...one way to salvation....would you agree?

John, I think your heart is good however if you believe one needs to maintain salvation then you are sadly misguided and mistaken. The fullness of Christ’s work on the cross and His conquering power over death keeps our salvation irrevocably and eternally secure.

John 14:6-7
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
