How can we not grow weary of doing good?

Topic: How can we not weary of not doing good?

Galatians 6: 7-10

ESV

7(L) Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for(M) whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8For(N) the one who sows to his own flesh(O) will from the flesh reap corruption, but(P) the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9And(Q) let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap,(R) if we do not give up. 10So then,(S) as we have opportunity, let us(T) do good to everyone, and especially to those who are(U) of the household of faith.

For me it is not a matter of growing *weary of doing good*.....I always want to make the right choices etc.....it is more a matter of growing weary under the battle of the oppositions we come up against daily...or having to endure when we KNOW someone is in the wrong and there seems to be no (earthy) consequence for them etc. (Not sure if I am making sense to anyone else...but I am makeing sense to me...lol)


I know at the very end of the story, that God wins. We will all be held accountable for our actions. We may have been wronged etc....but we are only responsiblle for how we reacted/responded to it. It can just be hard when you see them prosper in so many ways...and you have to continue to struggle etc.
I have a good life....no room to complain. Blessed beyond what I deserve for sure!

For me it is "not growing weary in doing well", as we try to do the right things esp, in today's time when right is wrong and wrong is right. it would be very easy to do well, then see others all around you doing wrong, but yet it seems like they may have the better life, or either it may seem like you are the only one at times that is doing well, and you are sharing the gospel with a dying world, but it's like no one cares. It would very easy to just throw our hands up and say "what's the use" But to many souls are in the balance for us to grow weary in doing well!!!

To me,It means what it says,
Sewing and reaping,Paul is admonishing those who were seeing just what TM was talkin about,I'd say someone was askin a question about that same subject to Paul and he was addressin it in this letter.
If you are a "People Watcher" kinda like I am, you'll see this principle in action.Live by the sword and die by the sword ,reap what you sew,etc.
We all get our "come upins"What goes around comes around,So to speak.
Heres a good example of how this principal worked in my life(Not bragin on me nor the preacher who showed this to me ,But the God that showed it to him and inturn showed it to me)
I was told by a preacher if you sew anything in righteousness,not seeking anything in return, then God will increase that that you've sewn in that persons life more than you could ever imagine.
So immediatly I was thinkin"Money preacher",Thinkin he was setin me up to reach in my back pocket,So I start quizzin him,(like I usually do)
Then he comences to explainin to me what he was talkin about.
So ijn escence ,If you see a person in need of spiritual or physical ANYTHING,Correction,money,cars,bible teaching,Gospel,What so ever they need ,and You give it to them ,It'll be returned to you.If you do it in anger or strife,Then you'll get strife right back in spades,So to speak,Over and over again,But if you give it with Joy and love ,You'll get it with Joy and love in return,Over and over again.
Heres how God showed this to me to be true,After I prayed about it for a long time.
You all know Im a redneck,And rednecks Almost ALWAYS have junk cars layin around,welp this guy needed a car ,and God told me to fix one up and give it to this feller,when I say God told me ,I mean it wouldnt leave me alone ,I didnt wanna get rid of that car!,It was an IROC Z28 canaro,I gave 2500 bucks for!350 engine,T tops and everything,Lori was like "ARE YOU NUTS? when I mentioned it to her.So long story short,After tossin it up in my mind that preachers words came back to me,Sew it in love not expectin ANYTHING in return,with Joy and maybe win a soul to Christ in the process,So I did it.
I aint paid for a car since then!And Ive Always had a car that runs.and so has Lori.They aint been brand new but they never fail to start.
I aint sayin to anybody to go out and start givin away everything that you have so you get new stuff or that youll never have to pay for nuthin ever again,But this principal really works!
And the guy I gave the car to was turned away from God so far that he didnt even think there was a God in heaven or any place else,till that day,Now he not only believes in God but prays.
So what Im sayin is this
If you want peace of mind ,You sew peace of mind in someones life,If you want Joy you sew Joy in someone elses life ,etc. thats sewing in the spirit,if money,food ,clothes,teaching true gospel,etc is important to someones peace of mind,or joy, around you and you have it,give it to them ,and what ever gives you that joy or peace of mind will show up in your life ,over and over again.
Thats what I feel Paul is telling the galatians,
But if you have alot of stuff ,or biblical knowledge and you feel the need to brow beat someone over the head with it to make yourself feel more important or big,then rest assured thet corruption will be returned to you ,over and over again.
That, I believe ,Is sewing to the flesh and in corruption.

awesome post noahs dad... glad i read it, usually i skip red posts cause they give me a headache... (dont know why) U R right tho... even if we dont have alot posession wise we have alot to give of ourselves and our knowledge of Christ or in just caring & following up when you know someone is going through a terrible time.

8 years a go i was diagnosed with scitzophrenia i see things and hear things daily it is hard i go by this
iwas regretting the past and fearing the future suddenly my lord was speaking my name is i am i waited he continued when you live in the past it is hard i am not there my name is not i was it is iam live in the moment every second in every thought he is with you embrace it
