Paul was.
He was, but he admitted that it came to naught because without Jesus he was on his way to hell
Paul was.
“But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].” 1 Corinthians 2:15 (AMP)"The righteous man Judges all things, but he himself is judged of no one"
I'm talking abou accredited degrees, not diploma mills.
How did Paul preach from the OT without thoroughly knowing it?He was, but he admitted that it came to naught because without Jesus he was on his way to hell![]()
He was educated in the OT replaced by the NT. = it does not apply to those educated in the NT.Paul had a very credible pedigree in teachers... but he admitted in being wrong.
He was educated in the OT replaced by the NT. = it does not apply to those educated in the NT.
But we have it now and need to learn it in line with the early church creeds. The NT did not exist so he could not study it. He was one of the authorsThose educated in the NT can also be wrong. We need the whole Bible
Yes exactly, as I said. It doesnt matter if you are or are not highly educated. Those who are of the Lord are of the Lord and will be right.Paul was.
And how do you know if you are right without a thorough knowledge of scripture? = lots of study.Yes exactly, as I said. It doesnt matter if you are or are not highly educated. Those who are of the Lord are of the Lord and will be right.
...and had to unlearn it all after the baptism in the Holy SpiritPaul was.
Not all of it. He preached Christ from the OT. He had to drop Judaism though....and had to unlearn it all after the baptism in the Holy Spirit
Didnt you see Dave's other thread? Thats not for today. Salvation cancelled! That was only before the bible canon was complete. Now we dont need salvation anymore....and had to unlearn it all after the baptism in the Holy Spirit
Truth can be multifaceted.Didnt you see Dave's other thread? Thats not for today. Salvation cancelled! That was only before the bible canon was complete. Now we dont need salvation anymore.
By the time the Holy Spirit got done with him he had a boneyard of discarded " 'truths' of education"Not all of it. He preached Christ from the OT. He had to drop Judaism though.
His use of the OT disproves this.By the time the Holy Spirit got done with him he had a boneyard of discarded " 'truths' of education"
Every sentence of the ot paul saw through the prism of the law and priesthood. He saw nothing in the ot through the correct prism. His use of the OT disproves this.
So OT scripture is perverted? When he quotes it?Every sentence of the ot paul saw through the prism of the law and priesthood. He saw nothing in the ot through the correct prism.
That is why I put "truths" in quotation marks.
His truth was perverted.
His entire revelation was downloaded by the Holy Spirit.
The ot was relearned as well
NoSo OT scripture is perverted? When he quotes it?
Not all of it. He preached Christ from the OT. He had to drop Judaism though.
I can see it either way. Works for either camp.Flood came and swept them all away. The wicked were taken, not Noah?
I take it that Jesus is talking about the second coming not the rapture for all of Matthew 24, because the disciples ask about two things, not about a rapture nor resurrection.
