Family statistics
https://www.statista.com/
https://thefatherlessgeneration.wordpress.com/statistics/
http://divorcestatistics.org/

  • In 2018, there were around 15.05 million families with a female householder and no spouse present in the United States.
  • In 2018, the marriage rate in the United States stood at 6.5 per 1,000 people of the population. This is a decrease from 1990 levels, when the marriage rate was 9.8 marriages per 1,000 people.
  • Over the past 30 years, the birth rate in the United States has been steadily declining, and in 2018, there were 11.6 births per 1,000 of the population. In 1990, this figure stood at 16.7 births per 1,000 of the population.
  • As of 2009, the average length of a first marriage in the U.S. was 8 years. The average age men were at when they went through their first divorce was 32, for women this was 30. The average length of a second marriage was about 10 years.
  • 21 Compelling Motherless Children Statistics https://brandongaille.com/19-compelling-motherless-children-statistics/
  • 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes (US Dept. Of Health/Census) – 5 times the average.
  • 85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes – 20 times the average. (Center for Disease Control)
  • 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes – 9 times the average. (National Principals Association Report)
  • 85% of all youths in prison come from fatherless homes – 20 times the average. (Fulton Co. Georgia, Texas Dept. of Correction)
  • In 2000 the rate of divorce per 1000 was 8.2%
  • In 2014 the rate of divorce per 1000 was 6.9%
  • The divorce rate in America for first marriage is 41%
  • The divorce rate in America for second marriage is 60%

Dont get lost in the wall of statistics but they do play a somber tune and a warning to those who heed to their story. Two more stats people will see and think well that is good, and at first it is until you factor in other problems. For example divorce rates have fallen the last 40 years and teen pregnancy has also drastically fallen.

But we must understand the culture shift in 2020. Marriage has become unpopular and cohabitation is on the rise. Making divorce a dropping percentage. And the fall of teen pregnancy is directly linked to technology changes in the field of pregnancy prevention.

Nationwide, although the prevalence of ever having had sexual intercourse decreased overall during 2005–2015, closer examination of the data indicated several distinctions by sex, grade, and race/ethnicity. First, among students overall, significant linear decreases were observed among all sex and race/ethnicity subgroups except white students. Second, decreases were seen among 9th and 10th grade students, but not 11th and 12th grade students.

During 2005–2015, the United States experienced significant shifts in various influences that might have affected these findings, including changes in technology and the use of social media by youth, requirements and funding for education, and innovations in and federal resources for human immunodeficiency virus infection, STI, and teen pregnancy prevention.

So in conclusion of the above what do we have?
A decreasing marriage rate.
A increasing cohabitation rate.
A decreasing fertility rate, in fact we are no longer replacing the death rate.
A home without a biological female can be damaging to a family.
A home without a biological male can be equally or possibly even more damaging to the family.
Divorce rates are 41% within the first marriage.
The teen sexual activity has decreased which is good but the reasons for the results could be signs of other problems (for example technology is making social skills very difficult to practice)
85% of all youths in prison come from fatherless homes – 20 times the average.

Our public education have become breeding grounds for destroying the traditional family as organizations like Planned Parenthood push their agenda on our young kids that are explicitly taught to reject their parents traditional views.

Climate change alarmists and supporters in government want the anti-child movement like #NoFutureNoChildren, equates population control with climate control, making the answer to the world’s problems a reduction in the number of people.

Causing many teens to have the same thoughts as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once said.

I mean, this is our future. Because I think for us the stakes are so high. I’m going to live in a world that is fundamentally altered by climate change. So is Greta, so is every young person. You know, if you are pretty much under the — first of all, we’re seeing it now. Like, we’re living through this right now. We’re experiencing it right now. But especially if you are under 50 years old, if you’re under 40, 30, you know, 20, the younger you are, the more of our lives and our futures are going to be impacted by this. And you know, even people my age are stressed and have anxiety about having kids just because we want to make sure that we’re bringing our kids into a healthy world, into a stable future. And you shouldn’t ever have to be anxious about that. We need to be advocating for a safe future for all of us.
Greta Thunberg a child climate activist also sounding very similar

"You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words."
Planned families or government controlled families will destroy traditional homes. The parents lose control and we see the push for traditional families to convert to culture or suffer the consequences.

A radical Liberal bill that critics have warned for months will be used to enforce gender ideology in the home, give the state more power to seize children from families that oppose the LGBTQI and gender ideology agenda, and ban couples who disagree with that agenda from fostering or adopting children.

We must fight for the Biblical perspective of marriage and the family unit. We must be aware of what we are facing.

Families are now normalized to be cohabiting partners, 1 parent, same sex parents, or no kids at all due to a rise in fear or just plain lack of responsibility. Responsibility being the number 1 factor in abortion as 92.5 abortions are related to issues of responsibility.

https://www.abort73.com/abortion_facts/us_abortion_statistics/

If some of these facts are hitting close to home as many Christians have struggled with marriage failures and child problems, I want to end this in encouragement that in God all things are possible. Whatever your situation rather it be a marriage on the rocks, a single parent, child problems, struggles to marry, abortion guilt, struggles with past lifestyle choices, responsibilities, etc. Just know that in Christ there is forgiveness, grace, hope and the power to heal, bring joy, and to fix even the most gloomy of situations.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.

2 Corinthians 12:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Hebrews 1:3 New International Version (NIV)
3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

These 3 scriptures tells us that Jesus Christ has the power to sustain us and through the Holy Spirit living in us we have a powerful advantage in every situation in life. As we submit and grow closer to Jesus we can experience the type of loving reaction listed in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. This also provides a different perspective on life's situations. A perspective built in love, forgiveness, patience and the mindset focused on Jesus. In our weaknesses he is strong. In our failures, God doesn't abandon us but the opposite. God is a jealous God and loves you so much to individually try and draw you back to Him.

Of course sin still has consequences but God gives us a eternal perspective rather than just a Earthly perspective. Through prayer and the work of the Spirit we can find peace and even healing. Through Christ you can experience healing in your marriage, in Christ you can see change in your children, in Christ a single parent will find hope, encouragement, and the energy to endure the struggle, in Christ the abortionist can find forgiveness and healing, in Christ the chains of past sins can and will be broken, in Christ the lonely will find comfort and a future.

Stop living in the past and focus on the now. Keep your eyes focused on the Savior and your heart set on His will. Everything else will work towards the good as God works with those who love him.

Romans 8:28 Revised Standard Version (RSV)
28 We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.

Important translation because we know that being a Christian doesn't always involve good situations but with our reliance on God, God can work in us or with us to bring about the good.

Be aware, be active, and live into the will of God Almighty.

What the Frankfort school of thought has brought to Western culture has been devastating.

Between world war 1 & 2 and it during world war II, we imported some atheistic Jewish Germans that were from the intellectual class that is they were professors and students of Bolshevikist professors in the Frankfurt University in Frankfort Germany. And because they were here as a kind of refugee status and were educated we without vetting them installed them in our universities as professors and teachers. The things they taught, and broughtt us are things like the sexual revolution, and postmodernist philosophy. A prime example of this school of thought would be Saul Alinsky.

Yes I have heard of Saul Alinsky but didn't know the information above. Just another variable that added to the problems we now face.

Well they definitely haven't helped. It was almost part of the American communist party in the early 1900s that also swore to infiltrate our education system. Now we are seeing a majority of college grads supporting socialism.

That is why I believe churches have to start homeschooling in the church during the week. Hire retired school teachers and combat the indoctrination.

It’s sad to see a generation of Drones coming about. I wish I could say there would be a reversal of that, but I don’t see that happening. I really do believe that God has removed His hand of grace from our nation.

If He had to do it with His own covenant people, what makes us thinks He won’t with us.

Church families need to be more engaged. Instead of more sermons, we need discipleship, which isn't happening now. As church elders draw up plans for bigger churches, more and more families fall through the cracks.

Most definitely. Discipleship involves messy lives getting to know other messy lives. But people are too afraid to let their mess be seen or not willing to work within the mess of others.

Our churches should feel like family. Brothers and sisters United on one cause. To perpetuate the Kingdom of God by evangelizing and disciplining. Discipleship only happens when people grow close, do life together, and both equally motivated to stir each other further in Christ.
