The time of reformation had come. The veil was rent. The earthquake and eclipse. It signaled the opening of the ressurection gates in the new Jerusalem ,witnessed by many angels .The trial as the judgment seat of Christ must of been complete. You could say the tens of thousands of Old tesetemmt saints where in a temporal holding cell until the judgment seat of Christ demonstration was complete..

Blue...the many metaphors used in the parables giving us the signified unseen understanding.

And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.Luke 23:44-46 (KJV)

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. Mathew 27:50-54
I just realized why the bible says "many of the saints" and not all the saints arose and went into the holy city! Not all of the saints died near Jerusalem, they were scattered throughout the world I would assume, at least throughout the middle east.

It sounds like the graves were opened up and the bodies unearthed when Christ died, then later, they arose when Christ arose.

After the resurrection like it says, they surely didn’t hide out in the woods until Jesus has arisen

I don't think I've seen any reference to Paradise anywhere since Jesus spoke to the thief on the cross ..

And to think they rose not asleep and just lying in the tomb blinking their eyes for days is not sound doctrine that is basically what that would be saying if they simply rose and awake yet didn’t come out of the tomb.

I think that's because it doesn't exist any more.
I can agree with that .. Now we sleep in our graves waiting on the resurrection to Jesus while the others await their final judgment ..

I think that might represent the saints that were alive reigning with Christ. They did not rise with them .That will occur on the last day. Its not so much the location of the grave as it is the promise.

I believe our bodies do but I think the bible teaches that our spirit goes to be with the Lord.

So you think the saints are still in Abraham's bosom right now?

What make me wonder is, people that meet them back to live not repent and do not care about their salvation.

It happen like now, a lot of testimonies people raised from the death and most people do not care.

Jesus Himself raised from the death and most people in Jerusalem do not care.

That is human nature, they are spiritually blind, only thing about money and temporary power on earth

Agree totally Bro, Only thing I can figure is this ..
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Prior to the reformation that place of sleep awaiting a new body was called the grave. On this side the mansion he was preparing the new Jerusalem the city representing the bride the church . It is where we have our citizenship by faith .

There will be no judgment on the last day other than death as to the letter of the law. It will not rise to condemn a entire creation ever again .

Those who have not been given a new born again spirit on the last day will not rise and meet all the saints and together in the twinkling of the eye they will receive the promise of new incorruptible bodies . They as completed new creatures will be neither male nor female Jew nor gentile . No procreating

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

If you're saying ''there is no eternal conscious torment in a place called hell'' I disagree .. Hell will be full and not Gods fault but their own ..
