I cannot get beyond the following.....if the Calvinistic view is correct

MANY are called, but few are chosen.

MANY does not equal all
FEW of the MANY is even less

Explain why the number if FEW if MANY are called.....!
The explanation I have gotten from asking that very same question was

Many are called means many hear the Gospel
Few are chosen means of the many who hear the few are the elect who end up believing and are saved.

This is the explanation I have heard, not here to defend Calvinism, just giving the explanation I have heard.

But what about those on their deathbeds that God calls before they take their last breath ? , they have no works whatsoever , genuine question to your post...
It doesn't matter if they have works or not while on their deathbed, because works don't save us. Faith and belief in Jesus through His grace do.. :)

You must do Works under the law to be Saved!

Galatians 3:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
We are not under the law.

You are trolling this thread right?

James 1:14 King James Version (KJV)

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

This fourth type of person, similar to third, studies the Scriptures for themselves and see what they want to see and not the Original True Teachings. They than disseminate this False Teaching believing that they are among the few that have the Original Doctrine.

Summarised:
4) The few not part of the mainstream Denominational and Non-Denominational churches deceived by the Satan/Devil and deluded into believing that they are in the Truth and are actually devouring Elohim's/God's sheep.

Can you or any other member on these forums think of an essential fifth type of person?
Your still the 4th, Think your his child based on your righteousness

I totally agree...
That is why I am asking Judges this question to his way of thinking...

Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

YOU need to know that you belong to Him.
I do.

His works in me may produce works of righteousness but the newness of mind paired with trust in His promises is enough to remove any doubt.

If you choose to look to your works for "evidence" or comfort that's on you. I will trust in Him.

If you have those things, and are continuing in those things, then you know that you belong to Him.
If you don't have them, or are not continuing in them, you may not belong to Him at all.
You need to know for sure before Jesus returns.

You may never know you are saved for sure if you take false comfort in some misguided 'I don't have to do anything' doctrine of assurance.
Not having works of righteousness is actually where fear and lack of assurance comes from.
Diligence in works gives the believer full assurance of salvation right to the very end of life.
No works leaves the 'believer' wondering in lack of assurance if they really have Christ in them in salvation.

I don't agree with the way you word this.

In this forum alone, I have fallen short of doing exactly what I should do. Even overlooking an offense can be a work of righteousness. (and the opposite can be the opposite especially if done in a far less than patient way)

Also I have done as I should have. Even if it was the hard thing to do.

God has used me in many ways and moved me to help others and share what He has provided. (time energy or resources)

My assurance doesn't come from any of this nor suggest I was never saved at all.

This is me being less than perfect plenty of room for growth and constant need of God for not only forgiveness but also leadership in order to be useful to Him I am GRATEFUL to.

Torment doesn't belong next to my assurance and tied to the number or frequency of "works".

Before being born again it is very easy to try to justify your errors. Afterwards you know better and even if your message is correct you may feel convicted about your delivery. Even if you share what God provides you may feel convicted by talking about it after as if maybe it sounded like a boast.

After being born again we know our Father sees us and we trust He is always right.

A sappling may still do things that aren't works of righteousness, and also not have anything big to point at..... but they shouldn't look to what they have done for assurance.

They should look to Gods promises, trust in them and then ask Him who they trust for the newness He promises.

Misapplied Scripture. The curse is not talking about eternity, the curses listed in the law are temporal curses here on earth, such as exile from the land if Israel did not obey the law.

Matthew 5:48 King James Version (KJV)

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Elohim/God wants transformation according to the image of his Sinless and Perfect Son Yeshua/Jesus. You must be Sinless and Perfect!
there you go- sinless perfectionism .

have not had one of you garbage pushers on here in a while, you are just another cult deceiver, nothing special, nothing new under the sun..

I am still having trouble with this one , like I said to OneofHis , I have my simple head on today...

Do you ever get days like that , when you just can`t grasp something , that is where I am at with this lol...
...xox...
sadly to many times.

Lets look at context

Matt 7: 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

If a person comes to you as a porphet. or claims to speak in Gods name, or as a teacher or leader or whatever. But they bear no fruit. You can rest assured they are most likely a false prophet/teacher.

The context is not tryign to determine who is saved and who is not.

oh sis i am sorry if i sounded long winded... i tried to add context to the conversation which you replied to then show what it doesnt mean (which some seemed to claim)

When I said we can see the fruits of the self righteous by them looking to themselves to be seen as righteous, that was my explination of what is being said about only the specific sort mentioned just before that verse.

_______
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
_____

this isnt about sinners or sinful believers not being good enough or showing enough fruit

it is specifically about false prophets who point to their works and arent build on solid foundation (Christ)
beat me to it!!

What are you saying is false? To you, @dcontroversal, is Scripture/Bible a Unified Whole?
No it is true and he is correct.

Works do not save, never have never will.

Bizarre you use Galatians 3:10 out of context.... which is actually stating that the law is like a curse.

Here is the rest .... you are very deceitful.

11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.”[f] 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”[g] 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”[h] 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
