Is it appropriate here, or better elsewhere in the forums, and if so, please link to it.
At the top of the page pick Christian Forums, then choose the one you feel comfortable with. There is a Testimony Forum, Ladies, Family and Misc Forum that would work.

Let's get to know one another.

So, how long have you known Jesus Christ, and where did you first meet Him?
A warm welcome to CC, brother WR. Been walking with the Lord for more than 30 years. As a child, my mom would always take us to Church, read the Bible at bedtime, and pray for and with us. It still took me a while to realize that I did not have to do anything to get saved except totally surrender to Jesus. It was hard for me to believe that such a thing was so wonderfully easy. It is so because Jesus paid the price for our sins at the Cross.

I think it really became a personal thing when I went of to college and had no one near that I could trust or turn to. Jesus just reached down and took me by the hand and made everything ok.

Thank you for the opportunity to share. God bless you.:)

Very beautiful in one way, as the emerald green manicured lawns and hills, go along with the azure blues. Even the old 'castle' in a way is neat character, but sad too in another way (a reminder of things broken down in the world of sin). David Livingston, an excellent missionary, and I have read quite a bit about some of his work and thrusts into the deep jungles and the persons met and hardships endured, and the various boat trips.

Have you been on any mission trips, even if local?

You are blessed to have such daughter, and I pray that she is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I, myself, have no children of my own, though have longed for such, but if my lot is to be without, then God's perfect will be done.

I do have brothers and a sister, but only one with me in Christ Jesus. Both parents are still alive, and in their 70's.

The pastels are nice, do you create those?
Thank you, yes, I do :) I use photoshop to put together many elements to display Scripture, mostly, in a way I find pleasing and hopefully pleasing to others. I refer to my digital art as collaging, because I source the different elements online, mainly from sites that offer them free for personal use. So I collect butterflies, flowers, angels, birds, backgrounds, borders, frames etc and make many alterations to each element for inclusion on a panel. One panel may have multiple frames and borders layered together, as well as multiple backgrounds and floral elements, and I do sometimes construct my own frames, because the ones I find online are often quite gauche or else simply too small, not to mention the fact that I prefer each panel to be relatively unique, even though certain themes do repeat, such as a floral theme or there being hummingbirds, butterflies, and/or dragonflies in many of them. At one point I thought I was getting too carried away with all the butterflies and flowers, but my work after that became too austere, so I try not to interfere with my own process, if you know what I mean. It is all pretty spontaneous, though there does seem to be a method to my madness :giggle: Here is a pastel one for you:

Hello, Sir. What a delightful way to start a thread. 🙂

I had heard of Jesus all of my little life. I was profoundly blessed to become the child of two sincere Christians. I was raised in an atmosphere of love and safety. My Father actually has an MDiv.

19 or 18 years. That's how long I have been privileged to know my loving Master personally. My Mother actually made me wait a few weeks after my confession of Him before I was allowed to be baptized. She just wanted to make sure it was real. At the time I didn't understand why she was making me wait. 😊 I knew it was real.

I can't say that there was a drastic change in my lifestyle.. I was so young. And I don't really remember a specific moment of conversion to be honest. But I knew that it was what I was supposed to do to accept Jesus and I wanted to do it! What a blessed road it has been with Him since. 💓

"Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

Please do share your salvation story with us, if you will!
